Henry stared for a minute at the scoffing woman. She looked grim and angry. A lerfect conversation to keep him entertained.
"Upset? Shouldn't today be a great day? The ministry started it's vendetta to massacre innocent creatures, rejoice," he said smoothly and quietly, eying the crowd.

Jamie looked up, when he mentioned the vendetta. She felt suddenly awake. She had spent a few weeks in China isolated, and hadn't therefore gotten the Daily Prophet. A vendetta against the creatures. She knew the werewolves would be involved. It was right, that they had started it on the Year Day.
"Hm. It's about time," she said, and leaned back on her chair. "And they're not innocent," she said slightly louder.

Henry raised an eyebrow at her declaration. So she was anti-creature. Again, what an interesting conversation.
"Not innocent? Yes, that can be true, they do horrible things after all," said Henry softly, "Groups are moving against them you know, shadow groups. Often I wonder what depths a person could move to erradicate them all."

Jamie glanced on him with slight suspicion, as she wondered if he stood for supporting these monstrous creatures.
"I consider them to be dangerous," she said coldly. "I assume there's different reasons for these shadow groups. Greediness. Egoism. Grief. A wish to keep the children safe," she said, carefully not explaining why she hated them. She never mentioned her husband and son.

"A group that I've heard quite a bit about is striving to clear the world of the creatures. One woman in the group lost her son to a raving runespore. Others lost family to centaurs, werewolves, vampires. All they want to do is save the young ones and get revenge. They're dangerous, high up in the ministry, pushing the vengeance. Membership is always open, or so I hear. The Hogwarts School of Wizardry doesn't push that. They strive to help creatures wreak havoc. It's where I work, but not who I work for, if you understand. Shall I buy us another drink?"

Jamie analyzed his words, bit of bit. Did it mean that he was a member of that particularly group, he mentioned. She assumed so.She snorted a bit of the mention of Hogwarts. Of course, they would support animals.
"Of course. That drink would be welcome," she said, as she glanced toward her empty glass. Hmm. She hadn't noticed that she had emptied it.

"Alan, we'll have two drinks, my scotch and one refill for the lady. Put it on my tab," he called out, slipping into a chair beside her. His handsome eyes looked over her. She seemed angry, looking for some kind of rock to smash. He wondered how much of a use she'd be to the group.
"So, what do you do for a living?"

Her mouth became slightly thin, as he sat beside her. She hoped that he hadn't noticed it, she just preferred not to be with people this day. She glanced toward her glass, as it got refilled, before she answered the man's question.
"I'm traveling around the world. Just arrived today to England," she answered, as she wondered if she should let it slip, that she used to be Healer. She knew that he was teacher, as she looked at him. He didn't look like a teacher. She sighed inside, when she thought of the words she had told him. A traveler wouldn't be to much use. She should have told him that she used to be a Healer.

"Travelling? You must have seen many things, met many people," he said, pondering her usefulness. She didn't seem receptive to company. Oh well. "So, what are your plans here in England? What is it that you're interested to find while travelling here?"

She shrugged. "I've seen many things and met a lot of people. It's quite a interesting life." She liked it, as it was the best thing she could have done. She was alone after all, no one to explain to. "I've come back to England to visit a couple of friends," she lied smoothly. She refused to tell him, that she had arrived because it was the Five Year Anniversary. "I want to see how my friends are. Haven't seen them for a couple years."

"Friends. Well, I hope they're fun to visit. Are you going to stay and watch the vendetta unfold? Or is it not your cup of tea?" asked Henry, tipping his drink down his throat.

"They are," she nodded. She didn't know how much fun there would be. She took a gulp of the drink, before she answered. "I think I will stay, and watch it unfold," she answered. She wondered if she should say something more, and then boldly added, "or help, if I can." She looked at him, for what his reaction would be.

Henry smiled his charming smile at her. So she was on the right side after all. Well, this might be fun after all.
"Help, huh?" he said with a raised eyebrow, "How interested would you be in joining the right people and helping? Feeling the need to help?"

Jamie smiled slightly, as she saw his smile. It was a pretty one. She felt excitement run in her blood. She wanted revenge, a sweet feeling.
She smiled devilishly. "Interested... That's a fascinating word. I'd say that I would love to help, any way I could. The need to help lays in my blood."

"My name is Henry," he said, "I think we'll be good friends. Nevertheless, I like to keep my intentions a secret, my work place requires a certain level of decorum of course. It takes little more than a bad thought to get caught. Let's keep our meeting a secret."
Then he leaned forward, and whispered in her ear, similar to how a lover might woo a lady he just met, "If you really want to help, I know where to take you. Let's leave this bar and discuss the options somewhere more privately."

She nodded. Of course, the meeting would be secret. Henry sounded like some kind of spy.. She wondered what the school would do to him, if they discovered he was supporting the Group.
She shivered slightly, when Henry leaned forward to her ear. It was exciting, although she was still suspicious. It could be a way to lure her away from the other people in the Leaky Cauldron. But then, she had nothing to lose after all. She nodded, and said in a low tone. "My name is Jamie. And let's go," she said, glancing toward him. He could lead the way.

"This way," he said with a flirty wink, and then led her out into the open air of Diagon Alley. He moved slowly and deliberately, each step calculated. He moved into aspace between two stores commonly used by young lovers.
"We'll be able to speak freely in here. No one will disturb us," he said, casting defensive spells and muting spells around them, "What do you want to know first, Jamie?"

Jamie glanced amused around the place Henry had lead her toward, before she shrugged it off.
"What I want to know is, what do you do exactly?" she questioned him. All she knew was that they were against Magical Creatures, but she didn't know what they had done, or what their target was.

"I myself don't work directly, but those who do arrange the attacks. They plan where the creatures need to be taken out, and they accomplish it. Holding power in the ministry helps. They need fighters, spies, people willing to study creatures and destroy them. We search out allies, spread the message. That's what we do. We are a group dedicated to finding and destroying the creatures and running this war," explained Henry, "And if you wish to join, you agree to work for us in the shadows."

Jamie listened enthralled. It sounded good, as far. And she had no job. The only thing she did was travel, but now she could finally do something, instead of just travel. She pondered for a few seconds his explanation, before she made a decision. She didn't know what exactly she could do, but she would figure something out. She sighed with a small smile, before she answered. "I join you."

Henry grinned. She had been worth talking to. Yes, he wouldn't regret this one after all.
"Welcome aboard," he said, "I'm not the leader, that's someone else. I can introduce you at his son's funeral, it's in a few days, if you're interested. You'd go along as my companion. We'll find you a place Jamie. Intent is the heart of the matter. Where are you staying currently, do you mind me asking?"

She felt relief. She had finally found something to do with her life. She felt a pang of sympathy for the leader. She knew how it felt to be to your son's funeral.
"That's fine," she nodded. "And I'm definitely interested into meeting your leader. I'm staying at the Leaky Cauldron in the moment," she answered, as she wondered what he would use that information to.

He nodded. The first thing she needed was to be relocated. If she was staying somewhere so public she could be watched.
"I suggest you find a home," he began, "I have a private house by Hyde Park, you can move in there. It's called Moor Apartment. It's small, and I never use it. It's small, and nobody knows it exists. I'll give you the address. Once you've moved there, I can keep in touch with you and nobody will question it since they won't know. That is if you want my home. Otherwise feel free to move elsewhere. I think you'll be settling down for a while."
He nodded inwardly. If she stayed at Moor Apartment, she'd be under his eye to watch for any suspicious behaviour, and he'd be able to check on her and use her to communicate with Maxwell if nothing else. Owls weren't always reliable.

She glanced suspiciously on him, and wondered why he offered the it. They had just met. She had sold her house, and therefore didn't have anywhere to stay, except places like Leaky Cauldron, or muggle hotels. But assumed that it would be nicer to stay there. It was true, that if she wanted to help this group, she needed to be settled. She wondered shortly, if she should just buy a house, before she decided to take his offer. It seemed as it would be easier, if she stayed there for a time.
"Of course. It sounds alright," she agreed. She could stay there, until she found somewhere else to live.

"Excellent, we can head there then. I'll Side-Along apparate you. I don't live there anyways, so you shouldn't be worried," he said with a smirk, holding out a hand to her.

She scowled at him, before she reluctantly gave him her hand. She would apparate back later after her things. Not that there were many things, she owned, but still.

"This is my house," he said when the familiar feel of apparition ended. "There are two bedrooms, so don't worry about my intentions. I don't bed women I just met. I prefer a serious relationship, and right now, you're my ally, nothing more. I can show you around, but there's really no around."
As he said that, he pointed to the medium-sized, comfortable living room attached to a kitchen. There was one door behind them leading to the hall, and another along a wall beside it leading to a bathroom. Beside the kitchen was a door to a bedroom, and opposite to it was a smaller room.
"The bathroom's connected. I connected it when I had a roommate here," said Henry, "Pick any bedroom you like, I hardly live here anyways. Head back in the morning to get your stuff. It'll make us look like a lover's tryst rather than a curious meeting. I doubt the kitchen works, but feel free to experiment."

Jamie looked around. The house looked comfortable enough, she supposed. She shot him a glare, when he mentioned his intentions. She was certainly not a easy woman, but she let that comment slide.
"It look's nice," she commented, and glanced around once again. Apparently illusions were a part of her new 'job', she supposed. "So if you aren't here often, does it means that you live in Hogwarts?"

"Almost always. However, I have to go somewhere during the holidays, and when I need to visit the town. When I come here, I don't choose a specific room, I mostly just crash on the couch. You can redo the furniture if you like, just keep the furniture elsewhere for me to collect," he replied lazily.
