Wizards and Witches of Wizarding London, come here to mourn those you have lost.
---
(( General Perspective ))
Veilson Cemetery had been reserved for the funeral of Brayden Rosebane, as requested by his father, Maxwell. It would be a semi-private affair, where only those of pure heritage and their guests would be allowed to enter.
The grand cemetery was decorated in dark blue, bronze and green - the three colors that Brayden had been said to enjoy. Maxwell spared no expense. The park had also been reserved for the get together that would follow this affair, with refreshments already waiting.
All in all, it would be quite the gathering.

Henry stood patiently waiting for Jamie outside the cemetary, his own silver and blue cuff links represented his pure-blood status. He had brought a pendant for Jamie in case she had no way to get in. He had lied to Selwyn and said he was attending to gather allies. Well, it wasn't a full lie. He smirked at the thought.

Jamie arrived outside of the Veilson cemetery, where she had heard the funeral would be. She had bought a black dress, with a dark blue robe, when she realized she didn't own funeral clothes. She glanced around when she realized the most guests, would be those prominent in the Wizarding society. Finally she found Henry, and walked toward him.

With everyone in tow, Maxwell and the others arrived just outside of the cemetery, via portkey. He wore his finest blue and black robe, which had an intricate decoration of the Rosebane family crest on the back. Beside him stood Marigold and Octavius, both wearing simple, black robes, with one personal color. Marigold's was orange, and Octavius's was gray.
Behind him was Cassalina, wearing her black and lime-green funeral robe, with Veronica at her side. He couldn't help but think that they suited each other well.
As he arrived on the scene, he couldn't help but notice that Henry Moor had arrived. And he seemed to have a lady friend with him.

Alice apparated to the funeral on her own. She was wearing clean cut black robes over a lacy white shirt. The robe was simple, and short, an A-line skirt cut. Alice felt like a hypocrite showing up with her silver charm bracelet with Mr. Rosebane's rose and Ms. Cassie's stick. She had spent the week avoiding Mr. Rosebane entirely and now she was showing up to be supportive? It made her sick.
Veronica held Cassie's hand as they arrived at the funeral. They'd agreed to keep the relationship open, but act un-comitted in case Veronica's own career and skills needed to be called upon. Besides, Veronica had point blank refused to let Cassie face today without a shoulder to cry on. She squeezed Cassie's hand in support.

Maxy stood in his uncomftably stiff Purple, silver and Black robes as he waited for his Godmother to arrive. He could see the looks of scorn on the faces of those in the know but he did his best to ignore them. Today was about his Aunty Olivia not him.

Henry saw Jamie, and smiled. She looked classy, and the blue was a great way to symbolize their alliance.
"Good day, Jamie. Before we walk in, let me know your blood status," he said quickly and quietly to her.

Olivia and Daniel arrived together, with him holding her close. They had used a portkey to come to this location, having never been before. They dressed in neutral black robes, without a defining color to go along with them. On their ring fingers, they wore a bronze ring with the Rosebane crest on it - something Olivia had gone to great pains to replicate.
More than anything, she didn't want to be here. Alas, that was the way it had to be. Just thinking of Brayden brought tears to her eyes. She would never forgive herself for failing her son by leaving him with his monster of a father.

Jamie had noticed that Henry looked handsome. So funeral clothes suited him, she mused. She frowned slightly of his question.
"I'm half-blood," she answered just as quietly and quickly as Henry had. So this was a pure-blood funeral, she mused. Interesting. She realized she should have brought a Prewett symbol, as she had inherited several things from her marriage. Or a thing from her father's family.

Alice saw the group, and walked over slowly. She didn't know what to say, and decided to go as his employee. Yet, a part of her wanted more. A part of her wanted desperately to wipe the pain in Mr. Rosebane's face away.
"Hello," she said softly approaching the group.
She turned to Mr. Rosebane, and her heart melted again. "I'm so sorry for your loss Mr. Rosebane. If there's anything I can do, I'm here for you, as a friend."
She added the last part on accident, but didn't retract it. Today she'd let herself open up, tomorrow she could close herself off again, right?

Finally she was here. "Aunty, person" he muttered. "I'm glad to see that you found the ceemetry alright".

"Not a problem," he responded coolly, "Put this pendant on. It symbolizes our alliance. If anyone asks, you're a friend. If you want, you can always suggest you live in my apartment. The old ass-holes would love to hear good old Henry Moor has finally succumbed to pure-blood bigotry and taken a mistress."
He kept his tone light and teasing, knowing today would be a depressing day as it was.

Cassalina returned the squeeze to her hand, smiling gratefully at Veronica. She knew this was going to be a long day, but at least she was allowed to be with her lover. Today would be bearable because of it.
Octavius knew that things were going to be rough, but he was ready. He noticed that Alice had come as well - given the way she had been avoiding Maxwell, he wasn't sure she'd come. On the one hand, he was relieved that this was happening, but found himself disgusted with her as well. It was this kind of two-faced behavior that irked him.
Maxwell went ahead of the others, seeing Henry already waiting at the gate. He didn't want to be surrounded and protected - and he sure as hell didn't want to see Miss Boot at the moment. He was bothered by her growing distance, and didn't want to even contemplate that. Not today, when his focus rested upon his fallen child.
"I see you've arrived early, Henry." Maxwell said coolly. "Thank you for coming today."

Finally she was here. "Aunty, person" he muttered. "I'm glad to see that you found the ceemetry alright". "Hello, Ewan. I see that you are looking well." Olivia said, her formality ruined by the sadness in her tone. "And yes, I found it. It wasn't easy." she discretely handed him a similar bronze ring to the one she was wearing. "Here, take this. You're going to need it."

She took the pendant on, while she scowled at him. Mistress, hah. On the other hand it would be fun to see Henry's friends reaction, since it sounded like he was a good boy in the other people's eye.
"Of course I will," she answered lightly with a cool tone, and cleared her face from the scowl, when a man approached them.

Henry jumped at seeing Maxwell, and kept his eyes level. He turned to Jamie and gave her a slight nod.
"Hello Maxwell. It's been a while. I'm sorry we had to meet at the loss of your son," said Henry coolly. "I hope you don't mind that I brought a friend. This is Jamie Prewett, she's my newest ally, and a large sympathizer of your cause.
Alice watched Mr. Rosebane walk off, and felt slightly hurt. Yet, she understood. She had avoided him after all. Maybe he was angry, she would be. Biting back tears, she stayed to the edge. She was going to be here for Mr. Rosebane, and Ms. Cassie. Even if they didn't want her.
Chris arrived at the funeral, feeling bitter. Two kids who had been the same age as his Ellen when he last her had lost their lives this week, one figuratively, one literally. When was this going to end. He stuck to the sides, not interested in offering false comdolences. As far as he was concerned, today was all about appearances.

She smiled at him. Such a sweet young man. "Of course I am. I know that wearing his symbol is far from pleasant, but I want us to be together. You are family, after all." Even if Maxwell doesn't want you. came her cold thought. Oh how she hated to be here, knowing that she would have to see that ungoldly man once more. A man who couldn't even keep Brayden out of his own damned cause.
"Thank you for being here for me today, both of you." she told Daniel and Ewan. She knew that they would be hated and loathed, but it couldn't be helped.
----
Maxwell nodded to them both. "It is a pleasure to meet you, Miss Prewett. Thank you for coming here today." He had already started pushing his deepest, most uncomfortable feelings back. He wasn't free to mourn here.
----
"Hello, Alice." Cassalina said, evenly. She didn't like how Alice had avoided Maxwell all week, when it was quite clear that she would have done him a world of good. At the same time, she was glad that Alice had backed off a little. So there was no need to be hateful. "Thank you for coming today."
---
Octavius glowered at Alice, showing his dislike out right.

Jamie looked at the man with new found interest. So this Maxwell, was the man who was leader of the group, Henry had mentioned. She felt pity for the man, as she knew how it was to lose a son. Although a bitter voice in her head added: He got several more years with his son, than I did with mine.
"Hello Mr. Rosebane," she greeted. "I'm sorry for your loss," she added genuinely.

"And I will support you every step of the way, mon amour." Daniel said, holding her hand.

Alice nodded to Ms. Cassie, a small smile on her face. She looked to Octavius's glower, and felt uncomfortable. She knew why he ews angry, but she'd had no choice. If she had gotten closer, she was afraid what she would have said, and how she might have acted.
"I wanted to," said Alice, turning her head from Octavius's glower, "After everything both you and Mr. Rosebane have done for me, I just couldn't not show."
Veronica listened quietly. She stamped on Octavius's foot to redirect his glower. He was acting foolish. Today was not about Miss Alice Boot after all.
"That's a lovely sentiment," she said coolly, "I'm glad you decided to show up at some point this week, even if it is the very end."
Alice flinched at those words. She deserved Veronica's cool contempt. Biting her lower lip to keep from crying, she just nodded in response. An apology seemed like a farce, and anything else she said would come out wrong.

"Of course," said Henry with a nod, "We should talk later, perhaps more privately tonight. I see Olivia, come Jamie, let me introduce you to an old friend I haven't seen in a long time."
With a quick nod to Maxwell, he moved to approach Olivia.
"This one's his anti-role, and not an ally," he instructed Jamie as they moved, "Don't reveal your position. Just smile and be sympathetic. She's a woman who left her son behind."

Maxwell's insides hardened at the mention. Olivia? What in Merlin's name was she doing here? He looked around and sure enough, caught sight of her way in the back. Panicing slightly, he half-ran, half-walked into the cemetery, showing his rose to the guard.
Fuckfuckfuckfuck! Why is she here? Why? He hadn't expected it, what with the way she walked out on him.

Jamie barely managed to nod goodbye to Maxwell, before Henry went to introduce her to the old friend.
"All right," she nodded. To be sympathetic and smile should be easy, she supposed. She winced though inside, when she thought of supporting a mother who had left her son.

Chris made his way to the inside of the cemetary. The guards let him through since most of them worked for him anyway. He had his trusty flask of scotch inside his robe, and was eying the crowds. He could see Maxwell's court of people to the entry, with a girl he didn't recognize. He saw Henry Moor with a new woman. Olivia had arrived as well.
His insides hardened at the sight of Olivia. She reminded him too much of his own wife. Walking out on the family and leaving Maxwell to rot. Well, he knew who to avoid today.
