No that Willy has opened registrations again, we are straight back up to nearly 2020 members...
Weird. I thought for sure that most everyone was already here - and that the long closure of registrations would have put out most other people...

I thought for sure that most everyone was already here - and that the long closure of registrations would have put out most other people... I lurked here for a while before I finally registered. In fact, I only registered because in the middle of reading a thread I was sent to a page that said only registered users could access this board. Not too long afterwards (within hours I believe) the board was closed to new members. So, my guess would be some of them are people who weren't able to get membership before it was stopped, but kept checking back to see when membership was turned back on. 2,298 members now. Although, looking at the stats, there are 603 guests that were active users in the last 24 hours. How? |

Been wondering about that before, everyone looking at it (even before logging in) is counted as guest. So, if you come here a few times in one day - regardless of logging in or not - you will be counted as a guest every time, if I understood the explanation right.

I know that I've tried to get on here on my phone a lot, but it logs me out at random intervals because it's rubbish. Things like that have to bring the totals up a bit.

OK. That makes sense I guess. It was just driving me slightly nuts trying to figure out how so many guests were active users in the last 24 hours, when as far as I knew the board was still closed to non-members.

Ha, yes. We were really busy, weren't we? And the members have risen by about 325 again since sign-up was reopened.
