Moving the story

Hey, everyone.

I've been thinking a lot recently about where to go from here now that proboards made clear that the don't allow the posting of RtB-stories.

Right now, I've posted the prologue and first chapter on my wordpress blog. (Just click on my homepage link underneath my avatar to get there.)
But I am seriously thinking on moving to yourfanfiction.com. My username there is "ithiarel", too. So you should have no trouble finding me.

Right now, though, I will be offline for the weekend. Once I am back on Monday, I will start uploading the prologue and first chapter there. Just to see how it works. As far as I've seen, there uploading system seriously stinks. They don't allow the uploading of pre-formatted stories, which means that I would have to bold stuff manually again after uploading it.

Also, their policy in regards to RtBs may be lax, but it still means that I need to go back to rewrite those parts of chapter two that I have already finished.

I have also received requests to email my chapters to readers.

For now, I'll keep the mailing list-option as a possible fall back plan. If yourfanfiction.com does not work for me for some kind of reason, I will instead switch to a mainling list.
BUT: In that case I would only mail each alternating chapter (namely the RtB chapters of my fic), while I would still be posting the other chapters (non-RtB ones) on my blog. This is so that people who use google or other search engines to find RtB-fics would still have a real chance to find mine.

For now, I would ask you to stay patient. I am in the process of rewriting my next chapter. And I will post it. It's just not clear yet, where that will be.

But I am not giving up on this fic!

I had a bit of time left before I'm leaving for the weekend in an hour. So, I uploaded the chapters I have so far to yourfanficiton.com.

Well I like the layout better then Adultfanfiction has their site... But so far looks okay reading wise.

You could do two versions the YourFanfiction version where part the book story is cut to fit the site and the email being the full version.. That way you yourself has a full version to fall back on if the edited version does not work.

I'll add my email to the list as well if you need/want to go that way.

Just replace the [period] with a Period or Dot...

You don't need to edit the entire story. YourFanfiction just require you to leave out a paragraph so the reader's can't get the whole story. It's not really a problem. But, just in case you are emailing the story, you can send it ----

thunderbird: I am aware of that fact. But I want to adher to their guidelines as best I can (I really don't want to move again any time soon). So, I've decided to edit at least one paragraph out of each book chapter. It's still no big deal - I've tried it out with "The Riddle House" and if I didn't know that I've just deleted that paragraph, I would never miss it.

That said, the chapter is now again at about 50%. If all goes well, I should have it finished and posted by the end of next week.
