I love the Royal Diaries series. They're fictionalized diaries of princesses/royalty in history. I love that series. I also loved the American Girls series when I was younger.

Hehehehehehehe. I haven't read those but I've heard enough about them. Most people got very bored of it by the end. Or, everyone I know did.

I had a look at the blurb for the first one of the 50 Shades series, and it did not make me want to read it, at all. It was not interesting in the slightest. It bored me.

American Girl's was my life growing up, that and Little House on the Prairie. I loved both of those series growing up. I do remember being very disappointed when I found out that they were fiction. Little House was another series I loved as was the Betsy~Tacy series. Narnia is another series I grew up on and still love. I'm currently reading Little House to the six-year-old I babysit and she's enjoying it.

The children's books I used to read, and still love, are Brian Jacques' Redwall series, and the Narnia books. I did read the Little House series, and liked them, but they aren't actually true fiction. Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote them about her life, though she used different names in them. I can't really remember now, it's been so long since I read them and don't want to read them again. Another series that I liked when I was a kid, was the Arthur Ransome Swallows and Amazon series.

Another of my favorite books growing up was The Watsons Go to Birmingham. I also loved Black Beauty when I was younger.
Did anybody read a Wrinkle in Time? I used to love that book. I loved all the allusions in it.

I really like to read any of the discworld series by terry pratchett. But I am coming close to the time were there won't be any left for me to read although he wrote over thirty books. And other than that I enjoyed the Bartimaeus and Eragon series. The book writen by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett Good Omens was also very funny and well written.

Anyone read Left Behind or Left Behind: the Kids? I've read both and loved them, though it took me about two years to get all 40 of the kids books. I got rid of them a while ago, but I still have the audio CDs.
Also, anyone read "The Velveteen Rabbit"? I absolutely loved that story when I was little.
I had the huge picture book of it. It was hard cover and had pictures through out the story.
I also loved the Christian Mother Goose. I had book 1 and would read those rhymes over and over and over again, never got tired of them.

Hey, I read alot outside fanfiction and i think my favorite author is Sherrilyn Kenyon and her series The Dark Hunters/ Dream Hunters/ Were-Hunters. They are "Adult" books, meaning rated M for sexual content but i would highly recomend them. They are supernatural romance books, including vampires and gods. If your interested in the series PM me and i will send you the book list. rocky

I'm a really big fan of the Inheritance series (Eragon), as well as the Dirk Pitt, and Dragons in our Midst series.
A book I'm reading that I really enjoy is Inside Delta Force by Eric Haney. It's a Non-fiction book, but it's really good, especially if you're interested in the Military.

If you like non-fiction books about the Military, then you might like Storm Front and Vulcan 607 by Roland White and D-Day by Anthony Beevor. I'm also glad that you like the Dirk Pitt series, because those are some of my favourite books as well.

Same with me. I bought a bunch of the books from my local book dealer, she was selling them for really cheap and they looked interesting. I wish I could find them in PDF though, it would make things so much easier.

Anyone interested in a good zombie series should check out David Moody's Autumn series. The first book is a little disappointing but from then on the series really grows on you.
