Ah, I remember all that whining about the PISA tests and how bad we were, too ... and how the politicians tried to explain it away or make it better by making things worse Oh, then good luck, dear, I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Our politicians did the same things. x) How we should do better, how we should... I don't know xD A lot of whining. Pretty annoying.
Yeah.. I'm beginning to read all that crap.

ugh! I hate Achievement Tests (if that is what you were talking about viralic1). I had to take the California Achievement Test every year. I loathed it, especially math because everything was timed and I couldn't get through the 50 or so math problems. I was homeschooled and that was the only thing I didn't like with the program that I went through and got my books from.

I think it might be the Achievement Test, but I don't know. One of the biggest problems with the FCAT is that its every single year, and they have dozens of other tests like. For example, in my junior year I had to take FCATs (writing, math, science, reading, all separate tests) ACTs (reading, math separate) PSATS (generalized) EOCs (math, writing, science, reading, history all separate)
Keep in mind those are just the government standardized tests, and have no effect on my grades at all, except for the EOC, which is around 40% of my grade.

That sounds rather extreme to me, three math and reading tests, of which two are pretty useless. And here I thought our school system is nuts!
