"Yeah, but with your I'm-All-Knowing-And-Treat-People-Like-Dirt attitude, I almost got confused there," said Arthur sarcastically, blood pounding in his ears, and a violent fit of coughs over-taking him.

"How do I treat people like dirt? You don't even know me," Isobel tried not to yell.

Timmy got up, feeling rather annoyed with the two of them. "I'm going to go read or something." he said, irate. "Let me know when you guys are done, okay?" He undid the spell and let the piece of paper fall, before walking off.

"In our first meeting, you insulted my ability to care for Timmy, and then took off on me for being a bad guardian," said Arthur, his nerves grating, "And you've been nothing but pleasant since. I formed an opinion, and rolled with it."
Then Timmy got up, and stormed out, and Arthur felt bad, "Now look what you've done! He was getting along just fine with me until you came. Timmy! Hold up!"
He got up, staggered for a bit, feeling dizzy, and then proceeded to try to head for the door.

Timmy ignored him. If Arthur and Isobel wanted to fight, fine! He went into the room with all the books and locked himself in. He'd sit here and read for a bit, until they came to their senses.

Isobel watched Arthur leave out the room, she closed her eyes and rubbed her face. -------------- Isobel walked into her bedroom and threw her coat onto her bed. She walked into in her bathroom, she turned on the cold water and splashed her face. Today was a long day, and she knew tomorrow will be long as well dealing with Arthur, but she wanted to make sure he was alright.
Isobel walked out the bathroom and was immediately pinned up against the wall by her throat. It was her uncle Patrick
"Where were you?" His spit hitting her below the eye
"I was at the shelter," I manged to say, grabbing at his hand.
"What did you tell your aunt?" He yelled, squeezing her neck tightly. "Your aunt won't even talk to me. Did you tell her?"
"No I didn't tell her," she manged to say, she was starting to feel light headed. "I wasn't home all day."
He let go of her throat Isobel began to gasp for air. "If I find out you tell her anything I'm going to kill her then kill you." ------------------
Isobel opened her eyea and decided she go find Timmy, apologize, and leave for good. She didn't want to upset him, and she can't take being around Arthur any longer.

Arthur stood outside the study door, knocking repeatedly. The old man had left to get groceries or something, and Isobel approached. He glared at her, and then sighed. His head was pounding, and he just couldn't keep up the argument with Isobel, he didn't have any energy.
"He won't open the door," he explained to Isobel, before coughing, "And I think we need to talk."

"Alright, we can talk," Isobel may have to use muggle means to get rid of her headache. "Where you want to talk at?"

"Outside," said Arthur wearily. He nodded, and led her to the backyard, before collapsing in the grass. He needed to get rid of this pounding head ache. "Look, I'm not sorry, but I am. You care for Timmy, and so do I. So I'll apologize for being angry with you around Timmy, and we can do a chat about how we'll fake getting along, or we can solve our issues and really try getting along."

Timmy kept the door closed. He needed for them to get along before he opened the door again. He didn't want to listen to them fight anymore.

"It would be better if we actually try to solve our issues," Isobel sat across from Arthur. "It'll be better for Timmy."

"Okay," said Arthur, sighing and then coughing. "So, how do we start that? I guess I'm sorry for yelling?"

"I'm sorry for throwing that pebble at you yesterday," Isobel layed back on the grass, looking up at the sky.

"And I'm sorry for saying your related to Lestrange," said Arthur, watching the clouds roll by. Then he realized something, "Let's start over. I hate apologizing. I'm Arthur Madden and I have issues trusting random people. What's your name?" He sat up to cough, and then met the woman's eyes, hoping this do-over thing worked.

"I'm Isobel Roux," Isobel smilied. She stuck her hand out, "I don't have trust issues, and I'm sorry for saying you're a bad guardian."

"No problem," said Arthur, taking her hand with relief. "So, er, I guess what I should say is, I'm touchy about things, and when you called me a bad guardian, I snapped. Pride's important to me. Sorry, Isobel, for bitching at you."

"I shouldn't have called you a bad guardian. I have a weakness for little kids," Isobel said. Arthur waa still holding her hand, she let go, "We should go check on Timmy."

"Yeah," said Arthur, getting up and dusting himself off. "Just, don't expect me to warm up to the old man. So, are we friends, or acqjaintances, or what?

"Alright," said Arthur in an oddly disjointed voice. This was the first time he'd ever made a friend. It felt strange, and he rubbed the back of his neck in discomfort, as he opened the door for Isobel.

He walked in behind her, and then moved to check on his grandma instinctively. She had woken up, and gone back to shredding paper. He stared impassively for a few minutes, remembering the days when she'd been able to actually care for him.

Isobel didn't know if she should wait for Arthur or go check on Timmy. Isobel decided she would wait for Arthur Timmy wouldn't believe her that she and Arthur are now friends.

"I draw a line at being called Arty," he said with an incredulous look, "And I'm not calling you something stupid like Izzy either. So, how do we get Timmy to come out now?"
They were standing outside the study door. Arthur had a pretty good idea that knocking wouldn't work. He knew what stubbornness could do. He glanced at Isobel for help. He couldn't remember how to deal with a stubborn kid. He just remembered being stubborn.

"That works," said Arthur, and then he scowled, "I'm plenty light, but I see no reason to desecrate my good name by calling my Arty. Do you want me to call you Izzy?"
