With everything that has gone on in this role play, G. Novella thought that a summary of events would be needed. And she was right! So, this is what she has written down for the arcs we have completed. Enjoy:
The story takes place 200 years in the future. The cannon characters are dead, and the wizarding world is in turmoil. Across England, a strange new feeling is brewing. After years of oppressing the rights of Magical Creatures (MCs), wizards are now rising up and choosing sides as they move to obliterate them all.
The story follows the Exposition Arc. Here we meet a delightful array of characters, and learn of the leader of both factions of the war, Lucinda and Maxwell. Maxwell is charming, debonair and a huge influence on the ministry, bribing Minister Garrison and planning an attack on the Forbidden Forest. Lucinda is a phoenix, bound by a vow to protect magical creatures, and does just this as she builds a barrier around the Forest to protect it. We meet the many colorful individuals in the forest, hell-bent on protecting their homes. We meet the individuals in the ministry, some close friends of Maxwell's, others business partners, and often the well-intentioned but severely misguided employees. The arc wraps up with new relationshipsbeing developed, and old being expanded upon.
The story continues into the Forbidden Forest arc, where our protaganist, Lucinda, finds herself at wits ends trying to defend the forest. Creatures and Aurors are thrust into battle. The forest finds itself burning down, and being cleared away. Hogwarts is locked down, and students and teachers fear the attack from the safety of their school. By the end of the battle, several prominent factions of the Forest have faced loss. The Centaurs lose their herd leader, the acromantula lose several of their own, unicorns perished, and the tree-creatures weep at their newfound homelessness and deaths. Within the ministry, Maxwell has lost his own son Brayden.
The story then follows the Healing Arc, and creatures deal with their own grief. Fawkes, an old friend enters the war, ready to defend his old master's favorite place. Maxwell's ex-lover Olivia, mother of Brayden, enters and wages war with Maxwell, promising to defend creatures. Selwyn, Headmaster of Hogwarts, decides to seperate Hogwarts from the British ministry in a show of protest.
We then delve into the Preparation Arc, where grieving has ended, and now the creatures and ministry alike are preparing. Maxwell begins undergoing a ritual to absorb fire, and we learn he is determined to absorb Heliopath fire to destroy dementors, illegally.
