Louis lay in his bed on his back with his arms behind his head, starring up at the ceiling. The covers were sprawled loosely over his lower body. He really didn’t want to move, his bed felt too comfortable, but he had a job to do, and he wasn’t just about to lose because of how his bed was feeling. He moved the covers from around his waist, swung his leg over the side of his bed. He stood up and stretched, he let a groan, he’s a fifty-four year old man and he haves morning wood. He shrugged, it was probably from the dream he had of the young thirty-two year old Edina Edwards.
Louis decided he would see if his ‘lovely wife’ Harper was up, it really didn’t matter if she was up or not, he wanted what was between her legs and be done with it before he went to work. He walked out of his room and down the hall; she was in the last door on the left. He grabbed the door knob, turned it, and pushed it open. He closed the door behind him, and made his way to the four poster bed; he pulled back the light grey curtains, and stared at Harper. She wasn’t as beautiful like she used to be when the first meet and when they got married. This didn’t concern Louis though, he was never in love with that woman that changed his life, and he couldn’t decide if it was a good thing or a bad thing. Her dull brown hair was all over the cream colored pillowcase, her eyes were closed, she was breathing lightly, signally that she was still asleep. Louis stripped off his boxers, pulled back the covers and climbed on top of Harper.
Louis walked back into his room, feeling much better than he had earlier, of course Harper woke up, but that didn’t bother him, neither did those tears or her pleading for him to stop. He walked into the bathroom, and headed straight to the shower; he turned it on to steaming hot, and stepped in.
Louis was dressed in all black, from his cloak down to his shoes that he wore, the only color he had on besides black was his dark grey shirt. “Good morning Minister Galloway,” his junior assistant Valerie Colton said to him as he walked to his office. Louis said nothing to her, just a mere head nod to acknowledge her presence.
Louis office was nothing special, all black with gold trimmings on the base boards, a few plaques here and there. His desk was of a deep mahogany brown, neat stacks of paper were on it, along with a picture of him and Harper on their wedding day. That picture was just for show, he didn’t want people to know of his loveless marriage, it wouldn’t do well for his reputation. He hung his cloak on the coat stand in the corner of the room and sat behind his desk, looking over some paperwork.
Today was the day when young Aries Ashford will see his death. Louis needed to end his competition; he heard the whispers of a few people, who think it would be great if Aries became the new Minister. Louis wasn’t going to let that happen, he made a call to Edina, letting her know he wanted this job done, and make sure he’s dead, and hide his body where no one will find it.

Idella awoke early in the morning. She felt sore, and tired. All night she'd spent jogging, trying to tire herself out enough to go to sleep and not dream. Her dreams were filled with screaming men and women, blaming her. Normally, Idella would have just taken a Dreamless Sleep Potion, but Louis had claimed she was getting addicted, and expressly forbidden her from taking any more.
She climbed out of bed, and stretched her muscles. She stripped and walked to the closet. She pulled out an outfit Louis had bought her for work, and pulled it over her head. Black robes over a deep cut red blouse. The robes were long and covered her legs, and clung to her body in a respectable manner. Idella pulled her hair into a neat pony-tail, eying herself in the mirror. She looked like a respectable office lady with sex appeal. She looked successful. If only they knew what it had cost her.
Idella arrived to work. She nodded to Valerie, who said a polite hello. It had been three months since Valerie was hired, and the girl was only there to do the paper work. Idella was the one who ran the other operations. The ones only Louis and she knew about. Speaking of which, Aries Ashford was a mission he'd wanted done. She sat at her desk and sipped her tea, awaiting Louis's call.

Louis looked at the clock that was hung up on the wall. She should be here by now, Louis thought to himself. Idella Ward was the only person Louis had any feelings for, but he never showed it, what was the point. Idella will often accompany him to grand openings, his excuse was always the same, his wife is very ill and needs to stay in bed. To not draw any suspicions Louis would take Harper to some of the events, for people can see how ill she is.
Louis sent a call to Idella’s office; he wanted to see to see how things are going.

Idella heard the call, and stood up. She moved with a fluid grace, her six inch heels clicking on the floor. She opened the door to Louis's office, and slid in quietly. She moved to his desk, and felt the rush of warmth upon seeing him again. He was the only one who had ever loved her, and she'd do anything for his love. Anything.
"Good morning," she said quietly, waiting for his instructions.

"I hope you didn't take any of that potion," Louis spoken after a minute of silence. She looked perfect as always. "You look beautiful today."Louis never complimented anyone woman besides his mother before, Harper was just fake, what he said to Idella was sincere.
He moved from around his deck, and embraced Idella in a hug, and pressed his lips to her forehead, before he returned back to his seat.

"Of course not," said Idella, revelling in Louis's embrace. He made things right. "You told me not to."
She moved to sit across from him, and met his eyes. He made everything worth her heart ache, her night mares.
"I've missed you the last week," she said softly, lowering her lashes. She hadn't been able to see him like this all of the last week as she prepared the Ashford murder. Edina was such a hassle to work with.

Louis chuckled, "Sorry about that love, works been keeping me away from you, but I'm free the rest of the week." Louis knew Idella loved when he calls her that. "When is my trouble going to disappear?"
Louis didn't like openly metioning the murder of Ashford incase his office might be bugged.

Idella felt the familiar thrill as he addressed her, and she allowed a small smile to light her face, before resuming her professional expression.
"I'll see to it myself today," said Idella with a nod, "Edina is already on it. Afterwords, perhaps we could have a meeting?"
She was trained not to fidget or show signs of distress, but she always felt so nervous, like a child in front of Louis.

"Good," Louis nodded his head, things were going great. "It all depends if I'm not busy, if not we can head out to dinner in Diagon Alley, if you want."

"I would love that," said Idella with relief. "What are my orders for the day then?"

"Go to Ripon for the rest of the day," Louis told her. "I have to handle some things concerning my wife. We can meet up at the Leaky Cauldron at seven."

"As you wish," said Idella, standing up. She moved quickly behind his desk, and kissed his cheek, "I'll see you tonight then."
Despite her dread, she knew that if she did a good job today, Louis would be pleased, and he mattered most.

Louis grabbed her left hand and lightly kissed it, "I may stay over our place tonight, that's if you want me to." He knew she wouldn't mind, but felt the need to add it at the end.

"Your always welcome in my home," said Idella lightly, resisting the urge to run her hand over her cheek. "Well, I'll be on my way. See you tonight Louis!"
With that, she traipsed mechanically out of his office and to the Floo. Time to deal with Edina.

Louis watched Idella walk out of his office, maybe he buy her something special for putting up with him. He leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes, maybe he'll leave work early and go back home for some rest. He wanted to be in a good mood when seven comes.
