I'd a agree with Skull, although maybe leaning a little more to the reddish side. Just not brown.
I honestly don't get people that keep equating Lilly to Ginny with regards to hair. Lilly was described as having auburn hair, which while yes has red in it, I've always considered auburn to primarily be a shade of brown with a lot of red.
Ginny has never been described has having anything BUT FLAMING RED hair. Not ginger, not stawberry blond, not auburn, but flaming red.

To be honest, I rather have my colour of hair - strawberry blonde, than flaming red. It's far too bright for my tastes, especially if you want to be the centre of attention.
