It does make a nice change although I hope she doesn't go overboard especially since Hermione's being punished but is still confused as to what she did wrong.

I glad she is getting in trouble for crookshanks it always rubbed me the wrong way when writers would get onto the boys for getting angry at Hermione about the cat. She showed a total lack of care and most act like Ron had no right to get angry about the cat going for his rat just because it was Peter. Completely ignoring the fact that Hermione didn't know that when she acted like Ron's pet didn't matter.
Really I have only a few more spots that I hope she reprimands Hermione over that in my opinion alot of rtbs don't. I hope she gets reprimanded for getting onto Harry in DH about the occlumency as if he got some perverse pleasure for watching Voldy torture someone and how she acted in HBP.
To me it seems that only the boys get in trouble and Hermione get puton a pedestal as if she can do no wrong and any thing she does wrong is treated as if it'[s someone else's fault.

Of course the Hermione bashing (if I can call it that) shouldn't be overdone, either, but it was overdue that someone did it.
Sure, it's natural for a cat to hunt a rat, but in a situation like this, the cat owner should try to teach the cat not to do it. I mean, many dogs are natural hunters as well, and you still can't allow them to hunt everything, either. It may be hard to teach a cat not to attack the rat, but that doesn't change that Hermione did nothing to protect the pet of her 'best friend' and got bitchy for him being annoyed. It was completely wrong.
I'd like someone take Hermione to task about the interview in OotP, too. It annoyed me how she ordered Harry to meet her despite his date, never told him why, and then expected him to talk to Rita, of all people. And the same goes for how she dumped the huge crowd for the DA on him without warning. Can you imagine how she'd react if someone did that to her? With the roles reversed, Harry would never hear the end of it. And then there's the potions book. And yes, the Occlumency problem - not only in DH, but in OotP as well. Hermione knows how Snape treats Harry, so why does she believe the git would teach him properly in the first place? That were the instances where Hermione was at her most annoying.

I don't think it's hermione bashing it's just calling her out on her behavior just like what is done to Ron and harry and is long overdo. I also love how in Star's story Ron's brothers are rallying around him. I guess I just find it frustrating that Hermione doesn't seem to get it.
And i agree with you Kitty about the other thing's in the books she needs to be called out on, especially her behavior over the potions book. I can't wait to read about all of those.

He's like a kid in that aspect.

I also love how in Star's story Ron's brothers are rallying around him. I guess I just find it frustrating that Hermione doesn't seem to get it. She strikes me as someone who always thinks she is right and the others wrong and can't conceive that others see it differently. Plus, she was always the teacher's pet and not used to teachers being mad at her. You know, I always think it would be interesting if someone got a dog as a pet and that dog would attack Crookshanks all the time - what do you think Hermione's reaction would be if the dog owner were as blasé about it as she was about Crookshanks attacking Scabbers? ;D Might give her a first-hand experience how Ron has felt about it. Same here. I just hope Star continues through all of these books. And even if she does, it will still be quite a while ... She is updating once a week, which is really fast compared to many others, but that way it will still be quite a while until they get to the more interesting parts. My Jett is always chasing and barking at cats but does he ever et them? NO! Because he thinks it's a fun game to play and he knows that I'd tell him off. He's like a kid in that aspect. Sometimes it's hard to prevent, but at least you tell him off, and he knows it's wrong. Hermione didn't do anything of that sort, she was angry at Ron for complaining instead. And that's what annoyed me so much.

I always though she was far to nosy for her own good, everytime that Hary recieved mail she would always ask him about it, even when she didn't know who it would be from.

Yeah, while she in turn never bothered to tell him anything.
But that's a problem I have with many fanfictions as well who take it to a whole new level. When Hermione always complains about Harry not telling her everything about his life with the Dursleys or whatever, but she on the other hand is always having a go at him for being nosy, it seems a bit hypocritical. Never understood why Hermione has a right to know everything, but Harry has not. It may be in character for her, but doesn't make it right.

In a different way. Ron's curious, but he backs off, whereas Hermione comes charging in like a bull-dog. In those situations, Ron's generally the one telling her to back off, or let him be, and she's arguing that Harry has to open up... Imagine if they had to write diaries as an assignment. A friend of mine had to in her school- Oh man. She'd demand to read both in her 'I'll edit it for you!' way and the two would never even be able to get away with asking. On the other hand- Ron's more curious about Hermione and her life than Harry's, but that's probably because Harry opens up to him and Ron knows Harry's a private person and it's better to wat for an answer than to ask. Hermione thinks she knows all about Ron, and often takes him for granted whereas Harry tends to close her off.

Yeah, now and then. At least I have a bit more time right now, so I thought I'd be a good girl Actually, I have reviewed before, but back then the comments were screened and she never approved mine. Still rather satisfying how she handles things. Finally someone who takes Snape down a few pegs about his despisable behaviour in the shack!

Happens way too seldom, doesn't it? It always annoys me when barely anyone reacts to his despicable behaviour. While I am a bit sceptical about some things the author did here and there, I absolutely love it how she puts the finger in the wounds in exact the cases that annoy me the most. That's why I love this story so much.
You're welcome!

You're welcome! Yeah, it's quite a bit work to dig through to the beginning, because there are so many posts and you have to split longer posts. And it doesn't help that she doesn't use cuts to keep the list short. But it's an interesting read - I hope you have fun!

It is an interesting story, but it is annoying that people keep trying to punish them for things that have already happen and all of the babying people give Harry. Seriously if he is cold in the book giving him a blanket now doesn't do anything for him.

Yeah, that is one of the parts that I don't like, though luckily the babying gets a bit better later on. As I said before, I have some problems with the story, but there are other things I like and which don't happen too often in that sort of fic.
