I always find this really entertaining! So what was the number one song when you were born?
Mine is that "Saturday Night" song they always play at discos, with the really bad dance routine, unfortunately. Although I guess it says a lot about me.

Wet Wet Wet - With A Little Help From My Friends (cover of the Beatles track)
Reached number one on 21st May, and stayed at number one for 4 weeks.

Ghost Town by The Specials, spent 3 weeks at #1. To be honest I've never heard of the band or the song.
The songs that I do know from the year I was born are:
-Imagine by John Lennon -Tainted Love by Soft Cell -Don't You Want Me by The Human League
but, some unfortunate reason, there is an echo in the back of my mind that at some point I remember hearing "Saddup Your Face" by Joe Dolce Music Theatre.

Ghost Town by the Specials is a great song! It's actually written about my city, because the Specials came from here

Surprisingly, both on the UK and US charts the song changed when I was born
UK- It went from Baddiel, Skinner and Lightning Seeds (I have no idea what this song even is) by the Lions, to the Fugees-Killing me Softly.
And in the US it went from Tha Crossroads by Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, to Tupac's How do you want it.

Like a Prayer by Madonna. Weird, I really like that song but I hadn't heard it until a few years ago.
