Any fans here? Also I have an idea for a cross over with P&P with Haunted Mansion, but I don't know how I want it to work. Any ideas?

I like Jane Austen However I don't know what Haunted Mansion is. Pride and Prejudice is a great book. I sometimes look in the fanfiction, but it isn't often. *Goes off to check*

Ugh... I will agree to disagree on P&P and Austen in general on that. And I'm assuming the movie Haunted Mansion is what you're talking about, so in that case would Mr. Gracey-> Mr. Darcy? It sounds like this could turn comedic pretty fast, or into a horror depending on how you're staging it. I'm not a fan of either (more a fan of Haunted Mansion) so I can't give you much feedback, but have fun with that

Hahah, I'm not saying that I'm the world greatest fan of Austen, but I like to enjoy a Sunday with one of her works, if I'm in a romantic mood, which happens once in awhile.

Honestly, I've never been able to read more than a chapter of any book from that time without getting bored. I tried both Persuasion and Emma, by Jane Austen, and could not stand them. I thought they were rather wishy-washy, and prefer stories with lots of action and mystery.

I haven't ever read the books only seen the movie with Kiera Knightly. I personally loved it and frequently read fanfiction of it. Though I'm getting annoyed with all the fanfics set in the modern world. I mean to me its useless to do that because one of the biggest things about it is that its in the past. It's like reading the nonmagic Harry Potter fics.

I love Pride and Prejudice fanfiction. The best site by far is the Derbyshire Writers Guild it has fics for all of her novels and they are separated by both period and modern so you don't have to sort through them all.

*shudders* Ugh, the 2005 movie. Then again, this is coming from somebody who grew up watching the 1995 BBC miniseries which is infinitely better and not just because Colin Firth is Mr. Darcy. I read the book when I was quite young as well, and it's one of the books I try and re-read at least once a year. And yes, I read fanfiction. I admit, I'm fond of modern AU's (and I <3 the Lizzie Bennet Diaries on Youtube, they're awesome) but that's partially because of the amount of people who do not understand 19th century social mores (and I'm including the scriptwriter of the 2005 movie who added in the scene with Elizabeth in her nightgown meeting Darcy who was half undressed himself). ^^^^^ - My actual reaction to that scene.) I would rather a well written modern AU (and there are many) than a badly written version of canon. I also adore Jane/Bingley, (which is another part of why I love the 1995 one, Crispin Bonham-Carter makes me so happy ^^^^ - See the happy (no, stop looking at Darcy's sexy eyeroll, look at the chipper blonde dude)) All in all though, Pride and Prejudice and I go together like this ^^^^ - I feel warm and fuzzy just looking at the gif of this scene.

Does any one have a copy of The Coffeehouse: A Regency P&P OneShot by excentrykemuse. It's one of my favourites and I would be extremely grateful for any help.
