I'm not sure, I know that a lot of people have been posting again.

Yeah, but some weeks ago Shopaholic started reposting, and the story was deleted again after some days. Really don't know what criteria they are using, probably review count - the crap is obviously safe there, but not the good stuff.

Yeah, now that the uproar has died down, some seem to try it again. Or maybe they didn't even notice what happened before. In any case, now I save any story that is worth it after every chapter, just in case.

i'm not so sure about that. afterall those stories are very crap.

Indeed. Just tried one and didn't get further than the introduction and a few paragraphs of the first chapter before giving up because the story has more holes than a swiss cheese and everyone is acting so OOC it's not even funny.
Though there's at least one new story I like.

The worst are the adding of twins, changed sex or different name. I can just about get through Celestial Star's story. Whenever she desides to update today- seems to be getting later and later.

That's why I don't touch the femHarry stories with a ten-foot-pole, never mind read them.
*grin* Seems I am not the only one who keeps checking her page for the update. There are things in her fic I don't like at all, and a few times I was close to giving it up, but on the other hand, she does things I always missed in other stories, so I kept reading so far.

Impatient Everyone is otherwise busy now and then, so I just check now and then while doing other stuff. Besides, she's updating every week, that's more than you can say of most other authors.

She probably hasn't been focused on it over the Holidays, plus we got two chapters last week for Christmas so I think she gets a bit of leeway today.

Is anyone else having a hard time getting on lady celestials site, I keep getting error messages?
And I agree with you Kitty about femHarry stories, whenever I see one I just shake my head in disgust. Also about Celestial's story there are some things I really don't like and have almost stopped reading it several times but then she does something great that draws me back into the story.

If you get an error message go to another site then click back on your browser, 9 times out of 10 it will load the page.

Anything thoughts on the latest chapter? Maybe we should make a thread just for that fic seeing as how many of us read it

If you get an error message go to another site then click back on your browser, 9 times out of 10 it will load the livejournal page. Thanks unbeastly I got on the page:) I like the idea of a separate thread Miss Wings but I'm also hesitant to do so in case it brings unwanted attention to Celestial's site, since we don't know who is lurking on this site and have already had trouble with people reporting the RtB's stories from here.

All we have to do is name is Star's Story, we won't post the link or mention where it can be found etc.

That's a good idea and it would be nice to discuss the story more.

I'm still posting on ff.net and have just gotten up the next chapter of BFTF 6. I haven't update since July because of lack of time. I did get one review from someone from CU, but nothing has happened and that review was back in June or July.

Let's just hope it stays that way. I am so tired of that targeting of good stories.

I'd keep an eye on the CU forums. They made a lot of changes a couple of months ago, and they now seem a lot more organised. If your story shows up in the Tip Line section, you might have problems.

FFnet is definitely safer than it was a few months ago, but stories are still being targeted. Post at your own risk is the way to go, I think.
You're definitely right in that its the best stories which are targeted first. Contrary to popular belief, I'm pretty sure that the vast majority of these people don't actually hunt around for RtB fics (Those that do like the ones who hunted us down here... really need to get a life lol). They just report them when they see them and/or feel like it. That inherently means that a story which is either a) more popular or b) more freshly updated (or c) both) will get targeted first almost invariably...

Their big targets for right now seems to be second person stories, song fics and real person fics- which as much as I hate to agree with them on anything *gags* -real person fics are completely inappropriate. Alright I think I just traumatized myself but anyway they have such a holier then thou attitude and are just so proud of themselves, like they think they are doing something so amazingly good and important in the world. It's quite sickening to read their posts. When in actuality if real life was a book they would be the Percys and Umbridges of the story.

Thank you Kitty With that in mind you should reread the acticle in the beginning of ch 15 OotP (p306-308 American version) insert ffn for Hogwarts, Fudge for ffn admin, CU for ministry of magic with Umbridge and Percy for CU admin and the inquisitorial squad for the members of CU. It's amazing how much their tone of voice, thought process and actions mirror each other. It seems I can't read any part of the OotP anymore without seeing the comparisons
