That depends on what device you are using, I believe. On a PC or laptop, they aren't much of a problem, but with iPhones and other smaller devices, they seem to be a huge one. And I guess it's a question of the existence of ad blockers, too.

I seriously doubt that the petition will do any good, especially when it comes to ads. They will never remove ads as they are what pays for the site. Though, they may have a slight chance of getting flagfic. I personally think they should have focused more on flagfic than the ads, but that's just me.

Same here, but from some comments I did read, it seems some can barely read anything due to the ads. Personally, I usually don't have a problem with them (save one case where the ad was more than inappropriate). So, for me Flagfic is the main reason to posting the link here.

I agree. The only ads I see are a thin one up the top of the page and a square one that is down the bottom on a story or on the top right hand side of someone's profile page.

No idea, as I don't have an iPad. But right now FFN is down anyway. Been for hours, and I am pissed, because I was in the middle of a nice long story and can't continue.

The tab that said 'language' has been changed to flags and the search options allows you to choose only crossovers or have them all taken from the search list. Other than that I haven't noticed anything. You?

The "hide profile" option has moved, there's minature flags at the top and that's all I noticed to be honest. I haven't really been reading through the updated or new stories. I've gone back to all my old favourites.

There's yet another problem now. Whenever I go to any page on FFN, I get a 'problem loading page' page, which then says 'Invalid OCSP signing certificate in OCSP response'. No idea what that means, but it is irritating that it appears every time I try going to the site.

Annoying, no doubt, but as I didn't have a problem with the site all day, I suspect it was just a temporary hitch. Or do you have still problems?
