Now that's completely unexpected. Not sure how that is going to work, but I know a lot of fans will be excited.

I just don't want snakes in it though.

That would be a job for Weta, coming to think of it. They are good with all these monsters and other strange beings.

I'm not sure if this is going to be amazing or horrendous.
It's all going to hinge on how well they can do the effects of the beasts.

Exactly. And I think the Weta guys would be up to the job. But I might be slightly biased

If it was just any old person writing the screenplay I think I'd be worried, but because it's actually Jo writing it, I'm optimistic. And anyway, pottermore isn't too good but it still gives us a mine of new information, and least the film will do the same.

True, with her writing the screenplay herself, the likelyhood of it being good and in sync with the books is better. If you leave stuff like that to someone who doesn't really care for the canon story, it can get ugly.

Not surprising, if you ask me. Now that not only the books are done, but the movies as well, the fans are going to go into withdrawal

So now that we know there's another film and that we may see some of the older character's such as Dumbledore and Flamel who do you want cast as those people?
I know that John Hurt had been Olivander in the films but I think he'd make a good Flamel.
Sadly we won't be seeing a young Minerva if this is set 70 years before Harry as the book version of her was at least 40 when Harry was left with the Dursley's.

How would Daniel Craig do as Flamel? And what about Brian Blessed or Patrick Stewart?
Maybe Eva Green, or Judi Dench as Perenelle, depending on how old the Flamels look, being six hundred odd, but being able to drink the Elixir of Life.
Liam Neeson might be a good Grindelwald.
I can't think of anyone else who would either be too young or too old to be even vaguely plausible.

I'm really hoping that we get to find out more about James Parents in this series. Although the film is set 70 years before Harry we do know that James' parents were getting on in life.

Wow, that's still quite a while until then. Now I am wondering if they are going to do some of the technical stuff in Wellington. After all, Weta is well-known for all these animated creatures And Warner has now a foot in the door, so to speak, thanks to the Hobbit.
