I am in danger from my rtb stories being deleted on AO3 so I am giving up on them. I have had enough. I will work on a story idea I have that is not rtb. When I will be done with is, is hard to say. So goodbye for now.  |

So RTB stories on AO3 can be deleted too? I thought that site was safe from Cyber Bullies like Critics United?

Sadly - as I liked your story - my impression is that the Cyberbully Union is following the authors everywhere. They are pretty obsessed with it, aren't they? And the more they get their way, the worse they get.
In any case, I am sorry for you, but I don't know what to do, either.

I decided that in case my story gets deleted from AO3 and FFnet, I'll just post it on Tumblr and then start a mailing list for those who don't have a tumblr. Because otherwise, I have no idea either. I always thought this was a board to post stories on it because I remember reading these kind of stories here but I guess it changed? -shrugs-

Actually, this board was founded for that exact purpose, but the CU followed us here and reported us to the Proboards Admins, and we had the choice to either delete the RtB stories here, too, or lose the whole site completely. So we had to delete the stories to save at least the forum.
Normal stories can still be posted, but not RtB stories.

It does. But at least they give you a few days to comply, instead of deleting first and telling you later, which seems to be the way FFN handles it.

Yeah my story was up on Ao3 for a bit but got reported for abuse of all things cause apprently you need a warning for mentioning it even if there are no warning that aren't for graphic stuff...but yeah then they emailed me and said it was violation of their policy (which it wasn't when i read it) so i deleted it from there and went back to Live Journal cause thats the only place that i can post it. But yeah i've come so close to quitting so many times (its been deleted four times now and its just depressing) but then i get a review from someone saying how much they love my story and i start writing again

Believe me, I appreciate it that you didn't give up yet. I know it has to be beyond frustrating when it gets deleted so many times.
The excuses for deleting stories seem as ridiculous on AO3 as on FFN. The latter deleted the RtB of a friend of mine with the excuse that it was a 'songfic'. Mind you, there was no song whatsoever in the story, so that made perfect sense *rolls eyes*

I am really sorry to hear this, I really loved your stories and was fascinated to see where the story would go from the end of Book 5 and through the final 2 books. If you ever decide to post them again, please let me know as I do really enjoy the direction this was taking and I wish you luck in your future writing endeavors. Have a Happy 2014!
