Is there an alert system?

I have a question? is there an alert system for when an author updates, or are we going to have to just come here often to find out?

I think once they start posting you can bookmark a thread but I'm not sure if that will work well. You might just have to come by here to check.

Since each chapter is it's own thread, that really won't work. There is no way to follow an entire board.

The only thing I can think to do is if each board has one thread that whenever a new chapter is posted, the author would reply to that to say there is an update.

Given the way everyone seems to be posting their chapters the Alert system would not work as you can only Bookmark a thread.

But you have to edit your setting in your Messenger area to get said alerts.

It would be best if all the authors had a thread in their section where'd they'd post one they updated. For an example I have a thread here: readingthehpbooks.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=forabetterfuturediscussion&action=display&thread=39

That you can bookmark since I post everytime I write or move a new chapter over here.
