Save the Stories of FF.Net

I just currently found out that most fanfics (not just the "Reading the HP Books") are under attack from the people at FF.Net. They have decided that no fanfictions with detailed sexual or even violent scenes will be permitted on the site. Even fanfictions INSPIRED by songs are now going to be considered taboo. They basically want to make it so you can only post PG rated stories now.

Some of my favourite books, movies, anime, etc. all contain some detailed description of violence. Even Harry Potter is violent in nature at some points during the books and if you want to stay true to them while still weaving your own story, you have to include violence.

It has hurt me deeply that they have decided to take such drastic measures against all the users and their stories on FF.Net. It is my hope that other fanfiction.net users on this site feel the same.

Not only these, but all the reading the books stories are being deleted as well. That's why this site was founded in the first place. Many of us here have been backing up stories on FFN so we can at least re-read them, and for the case the author might not even have a copy him- or herself. I think many here have signed that petition already. Though I doubt FFN cares any bit; they are doing a good job in driving authors off to other sites and ruin their own website.
