All of you are probably tired of me but his another if anyone wants to try it.
The books 1-4 (the other three are optional) are read in the great hall of the marauder era.
You don't have to stay strictly to the books.
Instead of prior incantum a worm hole appears and sucks them and and the knocked out Cedric. The worm hole appears in Marauder era ceiling. The hole created four books about harry from four drops of blood that came from his arm. these books drop from the ceiling. The hole also keeps anything or anyone from leaving or getting in.
Since the blood went in before them than the books appear before them. Harry, Cedric, and Voldy wont show up till when they disappeared in the books.
As soon as the hole appeared it created a parallel universe. So no worries about Harry disappearing cause of him not getting born at the right time.
How you deal with Voldy is up to you. If you end with the fourth book than the horcruxes don't have to exist
Harry can not pair with Lily or James!
Slash: Harry/Remus or Snape or Sirius or a Prewitt twin.
Straight: I prefer a Amelia/Harry relationship personally but it is up to you.

Reading this challenge made me think of something else where Harry and Cedric would be the only readers. What if it was the port key that took them both to read the books? I haven't thought it through much more than that, just thought it was a cool way to get them alone for the readings.

That's an interesting challenge Melody. I'd quite like to see this done. what happens with Voldemort would have to be well thought out. And would that mean that Cedric comes back to life? Because he wasn't just knowcked out, he was killed straight away, before Harry's blood fell.

Thats why I said he was knocked out and that the books dont strictly follow canon.
You can have him hit with something else
or have harry somehow make it look like the curse hit him but harry hits him with that petrifing spell, from first year, and a spell that knocked him out to protect him.
Or you could have the wormhole somehow reverse the killing curse.Anyway you want it.

I did actually read something like this on ffn but it got deleted in the purge and i can't remember the authors name. It had the people from the marauder era and then it brought in people like James' parents and Sirius' parents and I think it brought in Andromeda and Bellatrix as well because tehy had already left.

Oh Dear Merlin! That's an idea. Although the part with all the OCs will be hard to keep. Is it possible to simply have fourth year, or maybe fifth year and up present. I mean, Dumbledore would want to shield the younglings from the violence, eh?

I'll try. Although since the great RtB purge, most of my RtBs had died. I'm actually editing some of the books. I mean, it isn't that bad if it's your original edit that you're reading, right?

Wouldn't count on that. It would still be mainly JKR's work, and that would be excuse enough for the CU. But admittedly, I have given up to understand their system - I'm only tempted to say they go less by content and more by highest review count ...

Now THAT is true, Kitty. The Not-so-Good ones haven't been victimized by the purge. Meanwhile the good ones, those that are worth reading, well... they're gone bye-bye now.
I have one RtB (Percy Jackson) which just reached it's 500 reviews. And I just got a message a few days back asking me to take it down, else they would.
It's ultimately annoying.

I remember one where the whole Black and Potter families did read - I think by RavenPotterWeasley (or some similar name). But it was one of the first to go.
