I'm not really big on superhero movies, but I really liked it when my husband took me. I actually was the one who asked if we could see it, he wanted to see Men in Black 3. Sooooooooooooooooooooo........
Anyone see it yet?
What did you think?
What was your favorite part?
I had a couple of favorite parts. Both are with the Hulk and, if you've seen the movie, you will know which part I'm talking about.

Thought this forum concerned saving stories? . But you are indeed correct. It was an awesome movie. Hulk rules, and 1 other good scene is with Banner.

No, this is the general board, you can talk about what you want. That is why there are topics about Percy Jackson, Snowwhite and the Huntsman, ect.

I know, guess everything evolved from it's original purpose. It's a good thing, a nice set of people to talk with about your favourite stuff.

I saw this film and loved it. I was waiting for it though as i do enjoy the superhero films. Love how the endings of all of them tied in with this. And one of my favourite scenes has to be between The Hulk and Loki in Stark Tower. It just made me laugh a lot.

I love Marvel and DC! So, Yes, I did love Avengers just as much as anyone else posting here, and to keep you excited, they're working on Avengers two! I heard a rumor they might include Antman. That being said, they're also working on The Amazing Spider Man 2, and talking about a Hulk movie.

I love The Hulk ( fav), Hawkeye, captain American and Thor. My favorite parts are when 1.) When Bruce Banner said the secret was " I'm always angry" and transformed into the Hulk. 2.) When Hulk punches Thor randomly. 3.) When Loki was trying to make Hulk Inferior and Hulk just started banging him everywhere like a toddler having a temper tanturm and was throwing a rag doll.

My favorite of the Avengers is Captain America, but I also really like Iron Man, especially for his wisecracks.
One of my favorite scenes in that movie is the fight between Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America before they realize that they're all on the same side. I especially liked it when Thor's hammer his Captain America's shield and the sonic wave destroyed the entire forest.
I also liked the scene where Hulk threw Loki around like a rag doll.

Thor: "Loki's my brother."
other character: "He's killed 80 people."
Thor: "He was adopted."

Not much into action movies and yet i strangely like The Avenger. My favourite character would have to be Bruce Banner. I love the scene where the Hulk starts hammering Loki up.

I also like the part where Captain America tries to tell the cop what to do and the cop is like "why do I have to listen to you?" and then one of the minions swoops down and destroys part of his team, then he starts listening.

I loved the Avengers! My fiance enjoyed pointing out buildings he recognized during the "city battle" scenes, since it was filmed just a few miles away from where he works in Cleveland.
My favorites are Tony, Bruce, and Loki. If Tony and Loki weren't enemies, I could totally see them bonding. Between their collective arrogance, wit, and "daddy issues", there would be some... interesting results. Probably involving pranks on the other Avengers or Fury. Or just lead to more defenestration.

Not really. I guess the movie version does portray it that way, but if you follow the Marvel comics, you'd get that Loki's a total bastard. He backstabs everyone and isn't really capable of friendship. He could ally himself with Stark, but Stark's not one to deal with betrayal well. The moment Loki turns on him, which he will, they'd return to being sworn enemies. It's an interesting theory, but one that would never work between the two. Plus, Stark's not really a prankster. He prefers to dabble with technology and experiment. He's like a mad scientist inside of a humongous egoist. He doesn't really hate the world, he just considers people inferior to technology in most cases. If he sees the value in people, he appreciates them. He's actually a pretty nice guy to the extent that he does try and help people he cares about, just in a very roundabout way. Whereas Loki's just got a lot of hate for the world and think's he far superior than the people of midgard (earth) and is a total megalomaniac.

I tend to separate book/comic-verse from movie-verse for that reason: movies tend to portray the characters differently. As for Stark: in the movies, I get the feeling that even if he doesn't actually participate in any sort of misbehavior, he may just record the event for future use... He's got that "tweak your nose" kind of portrayal going on. And with Loki, it seems like they mellowed him out a bit, giving him more of a "teenage temper tantrum but may be reasoned with" personality, rather than a "batshit crazy evil" personality. I could see them (writers/producers whatever) redeeming Loki to fight with the Avengers in a sequel.

Well I liked Loki the way he was in the film... but I've to admit that I haven't read the comics (and have no way to get my hands on them either... but that's besides the point).
I liked the scene between Tony Stark and Loki best (the one about the drink and which ended with Tony being thrown out of the window).
