Love:
Tolkien (anything written by him, I don't want to list it all for your sakes) Shakespeare (again, most anything, though my top plays are Hamlet, King Lear, Much Ado, and Twelfth Night'. Harry Potter Hunger Games A Song of Ice and Fire (series by George Martin. I've only read the first book and am partway through the second, but it's really good)
There are a lot more, but these are the main ones I can think of.
With this discussion, is anyone on goodreads? I am, and if any of you are, send me a PM here, and I'll add you as a friend.

Love:
Most Star Trek TNG books The Thrawn Trilogy (Star Wars) The Courtship of Princess Leia (Star Wars again) can't remember the name of it offhand, but the first (chronologically speaking) Star Wars book post-Endor ... the one that deals with those lizard guys. T'was awesome. Most Dirk Pitt books (Clive Cussler), but Dragon is my all-time favorite of that bunch. DragonFlight (Anne McCaffrey) My first fandom. *grins* Most romances by Catherine Anderson Most romances by Suzanne Brockman Crystal Singer series (Anne McCaffrey) The City Who Won (Anne McCaffrey again) The Last Dragonlord and Dragon and Phoenix by Joanne Bertin Tales of Kolmar series by Elizabeth Kerner (more dragons)
Hate: Skies of Pern and beyond, chronologically, in the Pern series (Anne McCaffrey) Renegades of Pern (Anne McCaffrey) Anything other than the named Star Wars books. I have actually actively boycotted the book series because so many of them are awful, and the way they killed off Chewie. Just bleah.

I've never read the book myself. Why couldn't you stand it?

The book itself is pretty boring other then a few moments here or there and the whole fact that King was basically placing himself in the novel.

When it comes to King's work I am more inclined to read his short stories and older novels with a few newer works (1990-201?) here or there.

I have actually actively boycotted the book series because so many of them are awful, and the way they killed off Chewie. Just bleah. The Thrawn Trilogy and The Courtship of Princess Leia are great books. The 1st book post ROTJ is Truce At Bakura. A portion of the SW aren't class A literature but I love all of them the same. I hated that they killed off Chewie the first time I read Vector Prime but I pulled through it and am still a fan. I think they way he died was fitting, something bigger than life killed him. A falling moon. What's more epic than that? When the rest of the movie characters die which they will if Legacy is any indication it will have to be big. That death made me realize that we aren't invincible wether in real life or in fiction. So that doesn't bother me anymore I kept reading the rest of the series for Chewie and I wanted to see how it ended. I am very emotional attached to the characters. Though I will admit I don't care for the path the authors have taken in the post NJO universe except for the Legacy comic series but every time I read one of those books I end up liking it regardless. They wasted so much potential in the DNT/LOTF/FOTJ arc.
