For DoodleJanus, I suggest that you go to fanfictiondownloader.net, its a site set up that allows you to save copies in various formats of fanficiton, thats what I do, so that if a fic goes away for what ever reason, I dont have to worry about losing it completely.
Jerk, we dont want those kinds of people in our sandboxes! I hope their IP addresses get banned!

I'm doing the same thing, i am currently going through all my fav stories and contacted the authors to warn them and tell them about this site. Feel bad for Chinapps22 i loved her story but she didn't have a copy of it when it was deleted and can't redo it. I'm trying to find a copy of it for her but am having no luck.

Ok, so I've been doing what I can to get the word out, I just hope its enough, Man, Im shaking...adrenenline yknow this is the most networking I've done before? Normally Im almost a shut in, I dont go out much and Im looking for a job, whoo boy... Thats all I've got for now, heard a rumor that it might be over now, not sure, but I have back ups of my favs so if anyone needs some tell, me and I'll see if I have it to send to you.

Perhaps not no, but then again if the owner of the content does not have issue with it then they tend to look the other way, which is kinda what FF.net does, or least had been. I noticed that too! I wonder who owns fanfiction.net? and why are they just NOW doing something about it? I mean if they wanted to do something about it, then when the first was being written they should have put up a big as hell sign saying you cant write that kind of fiction here! just to let you guys know I'm searching around the forums on fanfiction to see if I can find news on anything else like this happening. have found anything specific about these fics so far. Only scriptfics, songfics etc...but at least the people on that forum send them a review and give them a chance to change it to obey the rules before they report it.

I weathered the last couple times this happened although this is a first where they were targeting specific story type, the last one was more about the content rating wise.
It kinda killed my muse as I was afraid they would hit mine, they didn't but it the the prospect that someone could simply because a sentence was more graphic or something. So we lost quite a few in that, no idea how many though I think this one is taking a lot of them.

Yeah. It's ridiculous. They're going to drive everyone except the douchebags away the way they're going. Can they not just give people a warning (rating-wise) and wait to see if they will comply BEFORE deleting it. They don't give people a chance to save anything.

Exploring Harry Potter's Life of Lady Celestial Star, might not appear in the search or her profile but I've it open on my pc and when I update the page it does not disappear, I think that if you have the link it's still there, if you want I can copy the link and paste it here for you. |
