Maybe you should move the chapter to a document you can save in short intervalls, then edit, and replace the post here?

Where's Dim when you need her? Someone needs to suggest that Pinky's the bunny the Marauders give to Remus As for laptop issues, my laptop screen is flickering and I can't fix it so now I'm stuck using my ipod to communicate with the world

I'd suggest finding a computer shop near you. Most places wouldn't mind running a diagnostic for you for real cheap, but DON'T take it to the manufacturer. They'll charge for $200 for a diagnostic, and you'll probably get it back still broken with the advice to buy a new computer.

Yeah, I don't plan to. The last time I had an issue, they sent it back to the main company, kept it for three weeks and then tried to say my warranty didn't cover the issue. I went almost another week arguing with the guy over the cost until they said yeah, the warranty covers it. Anyways, I'm currently in India, and there's computer shop after shop every three stores. And all it takes is a couple minutes of haggling and they'll fix it dirt cheap

Probably. If they don't fix it there, take it to a college near you when you get home. The people who are taking computer repairs are almost always willing to do it for free/near free, cause it helps them with their major.

*snort* Here it's the other way around, tried two computer shops who failed spectacularly. First one ignored the recommended way to deal with the problem from the manufacturer and tried to avoid doing anything for weeks, and the second one couldn't just replace the harddisc themselves, sent it in AND four weeks later couldn't even tell WHERE the laptop was in the first place. My brother argued with them for two hours on the phone to get it back!

That's really sad. I've got like fourty friends here who are all good with computers, plus my PC repair teacher is always willing to help us, so I never have that problem. I just wish I had the cash to upgrade my laptop, because I really would like to be able to play games on this.
