No, we take the sweet buttery taste of butterbeer and make it popcorn! I'm thinking it might be like caramel corn, but with the essence of butterbeer flavor instead. Butterbeer doesn't taste like butter. It tastes like Irn Bru and Cream Soda with a toffee froth. I could eat the froth all day! It's delicious. I don't like butter in sandwiches but I love loads o it melted on toast, enough to make it almsot soggy. I don't mind it on plain bread either, like on a French Stick but I feel like it takes away from the taste of the sandwich filling and soup's flavour. Plus the cold and hot contrast, it makes me shudder. Oh, and treacle is like a really thick syrup-like thing. I'm not sure I've ever actually had it.

lol I have had cravings of Butter and White Bread, it does not happen often though.
I have only tried making Butterbeer once, it was one of the first recipes posted online. It was okay warm but once it cooled it made me sick trying to drink it... So hope to try the newer versions to find one I like. May even try the adult version hehe, that uses actual beer and hard alcohol.
Ah yeah I was looking it up last night, it makes me think of Karo Syrup, but do not think it is the same thing, and while Molasses is similar it is not the same thing Dark Treacle is, so I may have to check out the world markets we have here local to see if they have actual treacle.

Lol I think they just sell tins or jars of it here. And I lied. I've had treacle puddings several times in the past.

That's what I meant. Maybe that's a British thing, too? Saying "No, I tell a lie. I did do that, I'd just forgotten".

I really want to try a Sugar Quill and Blood Pops, though I'd probably gag at the flavour, I'm too curious.

Well we do have Blood Pops but no idea how they taste though... Saw them when looking at recipes.
Now Sugar Quills would be awesome, I would love those hehe, I mean how many of us chew our pens and pencils?

I am not sure how it would work with a pencil but a pen would be fairly easy. We would need to either take a pen and use it as a stick or find a way to seal the ink stick and turning it into the center the candy. But that last one would get hands sticky easily...

Heh think I heard about that a while ago.
Gillywater was mentioned earlier, but would you really want to have that? Granted I think it is just water but still...

I think it was me who mentioned the Gillywater and I would try it at least once. I try to be as adventurous with food as possible because It's silly to turn your nose up at something when it could turn out to be heaven to your palette. I used to refuse to try any seafood but then I tasted one of my cousin's mussels in white wine sauce and fell in love with it. After that I started trying any kind of shellfish and fish I could get my hands on. The only thing I won't try now is insects and snails. The thought makes me shudder.

Well I might try the bugs but keep the snails away, and oysters, I have not had either but they just make me sick thinking of eating them.
But I used to be the same way when it came to food, but then I got older and matured, now I eat food I used to never touch.

I've had one oyster before and it was a bit too salty for my liking but I would try another one just to see if it was a weird one or not. Plus, being from Australia might have given it a stronger taste, you never know.
The more foods I try, the more food's I find myself going off, like pizza and bolognese. Pizza is too greasy and a mish-mash of flavours for me now and bolognese is way too tomato-ey. I used to love both of those foods though.

*gasp* No to Pizza? Which btw you must have gotten bad pizza, most I eat is not greasy at all. Have you tried making one yourself with fresh ingredients? Well minus the sauce as I just use canned spaghetti sauce.
But anyways.... *gasp* No to Pizza? But Pizza is the food of the Gods!!

Hahaha! I don't like any pizza any more, at least not the take away or frozen stuff. I don't mind restaurant thin-based ones though.

Well I dunno about in your area, but here often times the best ones that you bake yourself are the ones the deli of the supermarkets make and freeze that they put out for sale. They are fresh and are no where near as greasy as say Pizza Hut's pizza.
We just tried a new one the other day it is sold at Aldi's, omg it was to die for it was so good and tasted as if we had made it ourselves. And only cost $6.00, but it is 16" round so rather large.

I'm so jealous, Nya! We don't have anything like Aldi's where I'm from. I'm not too fond of fast food. Why should I be, when it's cheaper and more fun to make things at home?

lol I am sure they will drop an Aldi's in your area at some point in time, it seems every few months opening a new one down here. Got about 4 in a 50 mile radius around me.
And very true there, though there are just some food that cannot be copied like KFC. Burgers are the same, impossible to get them tasting just like the fast food joints.
Heck even Taco Bell is pain to reproduce, but they have put out the seasonings and such so makes it bit easier.
But true it is nice to make food at home as can often make more for less money.

I've heard of someone that goes around al the fast food restaurants and tries to figure out the exact recipes for them and recreates them at home. He managed to make Big Mac sauce apparantly. Seriously want to gte my hands on that recipe. KFC chicken would be very hard to copy as well.
I didn't know the US had Aldi's too. I that it was more of a European shop. Did you guys know that we dont have Walmart in the UK?

Yes they make cookbooks with their recipes, I do not know if you look online if you could find it or not. But yeah KFC while you can copy the seasonings or close to it, in the batter you cannot copy the cooking method which is what makes it so good.
Wow no Walmart? I thought they had wormed their way everywhere... And yep Aldi's has been around a long time, it was not till last few years that they started growing here in the south. I used to go to one up in Missouri, practically the whole time I lived there (which was half my life.) Do you have to put the money in the cart in order to get a shopping cart? That is actually my favorite part hehe.
