I vote for Leroy Jethro Gibbs, team leader on NCIS. Mainly because I firmly believe that Gibbs can draw his gun faster than Snape can draw his wand.

Wouldn't know. I've never actually seen NCIS, but I would love to see who would win in a fight between Snape and Mr Gibbs from PotC.

I too thought of Gibbs from PotC and I am curious as to who would win. Well, it does depend on whether or not Gibbs has been drinking, as that would affect his chances somewhat.

Has anyone read an unusual case? If not then search HP books then crossovers with ncis and you'll find it. Not an RTB but its truly brilliant. Over 70 odd chapters to go through and a very slow starting sequel.

Damn, now that's a tough call. It would depend entirely on the situation.
Snarkfest: Your guess is as good as mine. They're both Kings of Snark. Same goes for trying to intimidate each other. Would be fun as hell to watch, though, as long as I'm not anywhere near the line of fire.
If Gibbs has a gun, Snape's ass is so much grass. Gibbs is a sniper, for god's sake. On the other hand, if Snape has his wand ...
And we can't dismiss the possibility of Snape being sneaky enough to slip something into Gibbs' coffee.

I'd go with Severus, if he had his wand first, then there's no question about it. If he didn't then he probably has a little bit of wandless magic up his sleeve. (Of course, I don't know who Gibbs is, but I think he's from some cop show... right?)

Gibbs is from NCIS, Nahara. It's really good and the last season finale was a real cliffhanger. Gibbs is the team leader, a former sniper in the Marines, and thinks of the team as his own family.
Goddessofweird: Ziva knows 18 different ways to kill someone with a PAPERCLIP. I don't think she should be counted out too quickly.

NCIS would be a good place for you to start, Naharada
The gang:
Gibbs: The Snape of NCIS. Marine sniper (there is no such thing as a retired Marine, trust me), and team leader. NOT a man you want to cross. EVER. He is NOT shy about kicking peoples' asses. VERY Alpha-male, snarky as all hell. His team is his family, and he will do whatever it takes to keep them safe, and HAS on multiple occasions. People learn *really* fast not to mess with Gibbs or his people.
Ducky: the ME. Think a cross between Dumbledore and Hagrid. Dumbledore's eccentricity, Hagrid's loveable, gentle personality and rambling conversational style.
Tony: Doesn't really have a comparable person in HP. Gibbs' second-in-command. VERY unconventional. A bit of a man-whore, with MASS amounts of UST and will-they-won't-they between him and Ziva. Smart as hell.
Ziva: The *ultimate* Amazon, more or less. Mossad, which is international for 'do not fuck with'. Practices 'obfuscating stupidity' with a vengeance (constantly mangles English, but has admitted to playing her trouble with the language up to make people think she's less of a threat than she actually is). Multi-lingual badass who will HURT you in *very* interesting ways. Especially if you even *think* of touching Tony.
Abby: The lab tech. She is essentially NCIS' version of Tonks, minus the clumsiness and with the addition of nearly ADD levels of energy, especially if she gets her hands on too much caffeine. Perky and adorable and geeky, and more or less Gibbs' surrogate daughter, which means that, even more so than the rest of the team, messing with her will bring down the pain. Not that Gibbs needs to worry too much ... Abby's been attacked in her lab a couple times and every single time, she's taken the idiot out solo, before the others can get there to help.
Tim: Neville. So, so much. Lovable, goofy, quiet young geek.

Maybe he shares a bit of Harry with Gibbs? He does manage to lead effectively when Gibbs is elsewhere, and Harry *does* have a tendency to pull solutions out of his butt a lot. Or better yet ... he's Sirius! Holy crap, why didn't I think of that one. Loyal as hell, zany, handsome and (let's face it, Sirius had to have been, as a teenager, with those looks) a bit of a skirt-chaser. It totally works. And as much as it scares me to say, Ziva is more Hermione/Bellatrix. Hermione for the brains, Bella for the hardcore badassery (and the tint of 'not quite a white hat') |

But yeah, the rest of it fits. He'd definitely have shades of Remus, yes, thanks to the off-again-on-again between him and Abby, but he's mostly Neville. I mean, when he starts, he's this completely intimidated, slightly stuttery, big-eyed, soft-faced geekboy. And then slowly over the length of the show, he gets steadily more and more badass. |

Franks is a hard one, but I'd say Moody is a good fit.
In a fight, I'm going with Gibbs. Sure, Snape has a magic, but Gibbs could kill him from a long distance with a long range rifle, shoot him from medium range with a pistol, stab him close range with his knife (Rule 9), or simply snap his neck.
Snape can just use a wand, and to do that he needs to be able to hit the target.
Plus even if Snape tried anything, Tony would blow his head off in a second to protect Gibbs.

Wasn't couting Ziva out, I want her to win, I think it'll be a close tie. Mike Franks would so be Moody, but a relax version.
We can't forget about Palmer, I don't know who in hp he would be, he's kind of awkward. I would say Ron, but I can't see it, maybe Neville.
I hated that cliffhanger, now I got to wait until September 26
