The Forbidden Forest

"Rhea hasn't gone with the fire silly. She's gone to the North Pole to help some other creatures and then she'll be back and you won't get stuck if you come with me now!" Calla was started to get frustrated again and if Eolande wasn't careful she would be involved in another fire.

Mean Little Girl was getting angry again, Eolande didn't like it when Mean Little Girl was angry. Eolande's tears and heavy breathing kept coming but she managed to bite her lip and stop making sounds. Eolande placed her arm across her chest and hugged the snake that was on it as she close her eyes, trying to make the Fire go away and calm down. The snakes slithered up to sit on Eolande's head again, hissing soothingly in her ear.

"Look Eolande, I know that your scared but we really do need to get a move on. I can always leave you here but I'm pretty sure you don't want that".

No! No! Eolande didn't want to be alone, only Mean Little Girl was left. Eolande whimpered at the thought, "Eolande doesn't want to be alone again." The dryad peeked around the tree, her pink eyes worried and frightened, but the tears were slowing. "Where does Little Girl and Eolande go?"

[Miss Wings]

"We go in the direction that Yew went and hope we can find her" Calla whispered sullenly.

"E-Eolande c-can ask the trees." The Dryad stated quietly before placing one hand on the tree and whispering to it, "Can you find Little Yew Tree, please?" But then Eolande screwed up her nose and eyes, trying to hear the reply. "I can't hear!" She said, "I can't understand the tree, it's too quiet!"

Maxy had been searching the forest for days to see what information he could find but so far he was having no luck. All he could find was a hut but barely any animals, where were they?

Maxy had had enough and figured it was now time to feed his chocolate addiction. Maxy was actually so lost in thoughts that he didn't realize that he was about to bumb into someone until it was to late.

Jovianne stumbled around the edge of the forest. Who would have thought Honeydukes expected her to do work like this? One minute she was tasting the Sugar Quills, the next she was being thrust out with an umbrella and basket to collect some dried wood for the fireplace. Nevermind that she was their only employee and they could use magic. Huffing, she reached the edge of the Forbidden Forest, and began collecting wood. After picking up five sticks, she gave up and pulled out a magazine. She flipped to the horoscope page, and took out her wand to see her star chart reading.

Just as she began reading her love life, someone bumped into her. With a shocked cry, Jovianne grabbed the guy behind her for support, pulling him atop of her as they both fell into the puddle with her.

"Oww," she moaned, her eyes shut as water splashed on her. "Don't you look before you step?"

Maxy felt someone grab hold of him as they both fell backwards, her on top of him. "Oww," she moaned. "Don't you look before you step" she moaned in a french accent.

Maxy recognized that voice, "I, Ivy?" he uttered in shock as he looked into those dark eyes.

Jovianne opened her eyes to see a strangely familiar face. She recognized it all too well as her jaw fell open upon realizing who exactly she'd fallen on. She just stared, before croaking out, "Ma-Maxy?"

"W, what are you doing here? Hell what are we doing in a puddle for?" Maxy laughed awkwardly as he pulled himself up before giving a hand to Ivy and pulling her up.

Jovianne laughed weakly with him. The last time she'd seen Maxy was that day. She could still hear her scream and feel the way she's pushed him. She took his hand and let herself be pulled up to meet his eyes. She swallowed, and tried to smile.

"I was just doing some work," she said brightly, "As for why we are een a puddle, well, I think you pushed me."

"No you pushed me!" Maxy bantered back. God he soo wanted to kiss her right now, even if he could see the mistrust in her face.

She smiled, a real smile. He was still so forgiving. She missed his kindness.

"Whoever pushed whoever," she said airily, flipping her hair. "I am currently soaked, and as far as I know, it's your fault. What are you going to do about it?"

"Well I can either use a drying spell or I can think of another idea" Maxy suggested in a seducing tone.

Bastion walked into the forest, his expression grim. He knew that he had classes to attend, but this was important. His parents had written their refusal to support Headmaster Sewlyn, and insisted he come home. Ever the just one, he had refused. Now he entered the forest intent on helping. What happened here was sickening.

Jovianne turned pink as she met his eyes, questions forming. She hadn't meant to be suggestive, but there was no doubt that Maxy had meant to be. Was her Seer right? Would she be forgiven after bathing in milk on the full moon?

"Another idea?" she questioned, her tone matching his. "I hope it's family friendly, Maxy."

As Bastion walked deeper into the forest, he started hearing voices. Both that sounded very familiar. Smiling, he followed them. And sure enough, there was his sister!

"How about this" Maxy said as he wipped his wand out from behind his back and uttered a drying spell. "That feel better?"

[G. Novella]

"Much," Jovianne said shaking out her hair with her fingers. She turned to see Bastien, her brother, and one again her jaw dropped. "Bastien? Pourquoi tu est la? Why are you here?"

Bastion smiled at her. "Hello, Jovianne. It's good to see you again." he said brightly. "I'm here to help the forest creatures."

Jovianne stared at her brother before sighing. He was determined to upset papa and maman. She turned to Maxy again, "You remember mon petit brother, Bastien?" she said as she indicated to him. "Bastien, this is Maxy, my old.. Friend."

She hesitated in saying more. Some how saying amour seemed like the incorrect word. She forced back a smile as she nodded to Maxy.

Bastion gave her an amused look. "Oh, just a friend, is he? From what I heard, things were about to become rather...heated."

"Bastien!" she almost screeched, turning bright red as she glared at her younger brother, "I-It's not like that at all! He and I-We-You- Oh nevermind. Stupide, you are. So, what are you doing in the Forest Maxy? And why Bastien are you trying to help the creatures from here?"

[Miss Wings]

"I am here you know" Maxy added irritably.

Bastion chuckled at his sister's expression. Priceless! His humorous was short lived, though. "After the way the Ministry decided to murderer the creatures here, I wanted to do more than wait around at the school. Besides, I tire of mum's requests to come home." He sighed. Bastion loved his parents, but his ideals would not be compromised. "How about you?"

"I'm trying to be more independent," she explained. "I got myself a job in Hogsmeade and moved out. My Seer says the pathmto self stability starts with finding indepence. And you know maman only means the best, Bastien. Now, you head straight back to school! Maxy, why are you here in the woods?"

She said this with a firm tone.

"I heard about the trouble and thought it would be a good idea to check out the forest" Maxy lied. It would do no good to anyone if news got out about his Aunt.

Bastion crossed his arms and sneered at the mention of that worthless charlatan. "And why should I? If our parents want to bigoted, fine by me. Besides, I'm an adult now, and can make my own decisions. "

Jovianne stared between the two, feeling helpless. Her little brother was entering some war, and Maxy was too. She switched her head between the two, and glared. Why did they make things so difficult?

"Why do the both of you have to enter this war?" she said with a slight plea.
