Personally, Rhea though killing them would be a fine way to deal with the situation. She wasn't exactly feeling kind or merciful right now. However, she grudgingly made herself push away any intent of killing them. She quickly went through a list of spells to use... An explosion would be nice, and push them away but it could be lethal. Rhea needed a milder explosion. Who knew, if she spared the stupid spider's lives- then maybe the Queen wouldn't be as nasty. When Lucinda told Rhea to leave, She almost glared at the Phoenix.
"I'm not leaving you!" She replied, suddenly feeling very thankful that she hadn't let Lucinda come alone. Rhea turned her wand to the mass of spiders and, making sure to keep all intent of murder from her mind, shouted "Expulso!" The resultant explosion was strong, but would only push back and maybe mildly injure, not kill.

Agora would have joined in the assault, but she was very interested to see what happened next. As long as the wolf-girl wouldn't kill, then there wasn't any harm in seeing how this played out. Besides, she could tell that her babies were having fun as well.
"Don't let them escape!" she commanded. "They must be made examples out of!"
Her children responded and charged once more. They made noises that only she could understand as laughter, seeming to gain a release of tension from this activity.
To keep the game going, she made webs that surrounded the area completely, making it harder for them to escape.

Rhea decided that their best bet here, was to free Lucinda. Moving her wand straight toward Lucinda and the spiders around her, she did the first thing she could think of. "Incendio!" The fire flew from her wand, if the damned spider's wanted to live, then they would have time to move. If they didn't, it was their own fault. The fire enveloped Lucinda and grew to encourage those around her to move away. Rhea could only rely on the fact that Lucinda was fire... And hopefully couldn't be burned.
After making sure her fire had taken hold, she turned around and fired at any spider who came at her, "Reducio!" Then, if they decided it was smart to still attack, she could step on them or kick them away with ease.

Lucinda felt a great relief as the acromantulas moved off of her. The fire that surrounded her gave her the strength to fight off the bonds of her vow. She could move again! She absorbed the fire, bringing it into her own being. With a renewed vigor, she sang to put the enemies near her fast asleep - it worked like a charm. Then she joined Rhea's side.
"Hold on!" she cried, before flashing them to the spot they had come from, far away from the acromantulas. "Thank you." she trilled, nuzzling Rhea's cheek.

The moment the two were away from the spiders, Rhea had to take a huge breath, and let it out in one long exhale. Glancing at Lucinda, Rhea allowed herself to back up to a tree, and slide down into a sitting position. The adrenaline that had come from her werewolf sized anger was fading just as quickly as it erupted. In it's place was the terror from before. Rhea had to close her eyes and keep them closed, continuing to take her deep breaths. She focused only on the warmth that Lucinda provided by being next to her.
After several moment, Rhea managed to open her eyes and look at Lucinda with a tired, but relieved expression. Cracking a smile she said equally tiredly, "Did I ever tell you that I don't like spiders?"

Lucinda chuckled. "Oh really, I couldn't tell." She hopped down on Rhea's lap. "You know, I'm really glad you came with me." she said looking up at her wide-eyed. "I haven't had someone look after me like that before. Thank you."

Rhea just shook her head, "I'm glad I went," she replied, then again, perhaps if Rhea hadn't been there Lucinda wouldn't have needed help. She pushed that thought from her mind as she responded to Lucinda's next statement.
"No problem, No decent person who ever leave you like that. And I normally pride myself to be a pretty decent person, so I had to stay."

She's so modest. Lucinda thought, a pleasant feeling welling up in her chest. Doesn't even realize how amazing she was. "Still, what you did was incredible! You stood up to them, even while you were afraid. I'm proud to have you as a friend."

"Thanks." Rhea said, her face reddening a bit as she tried to think of what else to say. Finally, she managed to chirp in a somewhat pleased voice. "I'm guessing that's one of the few blessings of a Werewolf- a huge temper no matter how tiny you are." She looked up at Lucinda, grinning once more, "No one messes with Wolf girl."

Lucinda trilled her delight. "And anyone who does is going to suffer a serious beating!" She looked up at her again. "So, breakfast? I'm starving!" And sure enough, her stomach growled loudly enough to be heard.

Rhea nodded, raising one hand and balling it in a fist, making her face serious and saying, "Damn straight." Then she grinned and stood up, "Breakfast sounds great."

Lucinda perched on her shoulder. "Given the fact that we keep attracting trouble, I think I'm just going to flash us back. I'll be able to take it easy for a while. If Fawkes is there, we can discuss some of the actions that need to be taken. I don't think I should be making decisions by myself."

Rhea nodded, agreeing full heartedly about flashing back. However, she couldn't stop from making a comment about the last bit,
"You can make decisions fine, you just need to make less of them at a time. Your too kind and concerned for everyone for your own good- Take it one thing at a time, or at least two by two instead of this thousand by thousand pace you've been going at." After a moment of consideration she decided to add, "Besides- While you can make decisions on your own, You can be sure I'll be there making sure that you don't make too many." Rhea smiled at the Phoenix. She was a good bird, just a bit too good at times.

If Lucinda felt a sheepish warmth inside her at Rhea's words. "I'll do my best, Rhea." And with that, she flashed them back to the outside of the cave, and flew in quickly to find her pile of berries. She allowed herself to glow extra brightly, giving the cave a soft, candle-lit glow.

As they appeared outside the cave, Rhea gave her usual stumble after flash. It would take awhile to get used to that... The werewolf shook her head and steadied herself, before following Lucinda into the cave. Rhea went and sat Indian style next to the berries and picked one up, inspecting it,
"So, No poison, right?" She asked playfully.

"Nope, just goodness." Lucinda said, eating one as proof. "See?" Then she ate another one, and another, and before she knew it, she had six in her mouth at once.

"I see." Rhea replied, one eyebrow raised in amusement. She rolled the berry she had over, once, twice, thrice. Then she held it up to her eye, scrutinizing it. Lowering is a bit, she sniffed it dramatically before licking it hesitantly. After a moment, she shrugged and popped it into her mouth. After gulping it down she grinned,
"I'm alive! Hallelujah!" Then she proceeded to take her friends lead and eat several more.

Kohl glared at Argon. He was leading her away from her old life and to her new one. She knew that he'd never have kept her with the herd. Yet for him to really kick her out, it wasn't fair! She'd grown up with the herd, he couldn't force her away. Not to some old friend of his he'd met many years ago! She contemplated running. He'd never catch her.
"Don't you dare," he said as they wound themselves through the trees.
"Your not my boss anymore," she snapped back.
"But I promised your parents I would keep you safe, and safe is where you'll go," he snapped back.
Kohl glared at him, baring her teeth angrily. She couldn't believe the way he was treating her. It wasn't like she couldn't keep up with the herd. Argon just hated her. He'd always hate her. Just like the rest of the herd. Nobody wanted to take her in since she was such a burden.
"We're close, I can sense Kei's nearby, behave yourself," Argon said to her.
She looked to the edge, she really could run. Maybe she should. When Argon wasn't looking, when this Kei person kept him busy.

Kei and Jei had been strolling through the forest, looking for a good patch of grass to munch on. Then Kei felt as if someone was close. She looked up and tried to pinpoint where it was,
"Who's there?" She called, positioning herself closer to Jei, who looked up when his Mother called out.

Kohl heard a voice call out, and looked again behind her. If only she knew where to run.
"It's an old friend, Kei!" called out Argon, sounding much happier.

Kei immediately went in the direction of the voice, and she soon came into the sight of the other two. Jei followed, only slightly behind his mother. The elder unicorn bowed her head in greeting,
"Hello," She began, "I'm afraid I don't recall meeting you, could you refresh my memory?"

"Its me, Argon, the first unicorn to fly from a tree," he said with a chuckle.
Asshole. Kohl considered biting him for a minute. When she'd tried that, he'd yelled at her for being a bad example.
"Can I have a private word?" he asked this Kei person, glancing at Kohl obviously. Kohl smirked inwardly. Once he was distracted, she'd bolt.

"Ah, Yes. I recall that you visited my herd when I was a filly."
Kei looked at Kohl curiously before she nodded to Argon, Kei then turned to walk away from the two foals, to a more private place off to the right.
Jei was also watching Kohl with a curious expression. She was younger them himself, but she seemed to be definitely angry about something.

"Kei, it's been too long," said Argon, "And I hate that we're meeting to discuss me leaving a foal here, but I have no choice."
Kohl glared at the older unicorn, and then turned and stared towards the trees. She pawed the ground, feeling it under her. Then she looked to where Argon was, he'd never notice. Then she bolted.

"Leave a foal?" Kei repeated, glancing back toward where they had left Jei and Kohl, "Do you mean that young girl you brought along?"
---
Jei blinked, so he was right- she was definitely angry. When she bolted, he did the first thing that came to mind- chased after her. Luckily, Jei had always been a fast runner, so he wasn't far behind despite her early start, "Why....Are... You... Runn....ing..." He panted as he tried to keep up.

"I know it sounds bad, but her parents were murdered by Acromantula, and she's too young to handle herself in a nomadic herd. Look at it this way, in a few years she'll be grown enough to have foals, help expand the herd," explained Argon.
"Go away!" yelled Kohl, looking behind. At the speed she was running, she didn't notice the large root and ended up falling over the root and twisting her ankle. Dammit! If it weren't for that idiot chasing her she'd have been able to get away!

Kei hesitated, Take the girl away from her herd? Of course she could understand... It was one thing to lose your parents in a familiar environment, and a complete other to lose them when you lead a constantly changing life. "Well... Of course we would be glad to take in the poor girl, But do you think that this is... the safest place at the moment? With the war growing more and more heated?"
Jei skidded to a stop, and quickly went next to the other girl, ignoring her command. After a moment he questioned, "What are you running from?"

"I have to leave her somewhere, she doesn't listen to anyone, especially not me, and I know you, and this herd. It was the only choice for him," explained Argon.
"I was trying to get away! I can take care of myself! I don't need a herd!" she yelled back at him, trying to get up and stumbling over her twisted ankle. She glared up at him in anger.

Kei nodded, rebellious foals where always difficult, but she knew the herd could handle them. After a moment she sighed and questioned, "So who is she?"
---
"Do you want to be alone then?" Jei tilted his head, confused. If one thing was important to him- it was his family. And his herd was his family. He didn't like the idea of being alone- it seemed like a horrible prospect. "I don't want to be alone, ever."
Of course, Jei was alone. His best friend had been his sister- the two had been so different, but so close. Jei eyes blinked at the realization- He was alone.

"Thank you! I swear you won't regret it! She's a little rough around the edges, but she's sweet on the inside," said Argon, looking relieved.
"Oh, please don't start crying!" said Kohl, horrified. How could this older guy just break down because she said go away!? "Look, you can stay alright! Please don't cry! Er, do you want me to er, tell a joke or something?"
