"Yew chose me, I didn't chose her, she's brilliant thought and I wouldn't change her for the world" Calla spoke as she stuck her tongue out childishly. Calla was struck by the Professor's question before she answered. "My names Calla Abby Potter".

A Potter? Henry smiled benignly, his insides jumping for joy.
"Calla, to honor your great grandmother, I expect?" he asked with a soft smile, "Your proving to be just as brave as she was, doing all these things for the students and your bowtruckle. If you want, I have to know all about magical creatures, I can teach you some things on them. I'm not the Defense professor for nothing after all."

Jamie glanced at Henry with suspicion. Did he really plan to use a little girl to get the information he wanted? Well, apparently. She felt extremely conflicted. She wanted revenge, but on the other hand... It was a little girl.

"Really? You'd do that for me?" Calla asked in excitement. "Wait, what's the deal here? Are you sure your not upto something? My Daddy always tells me to be careful of people like you" Calla added suddenly.

Henry let himself laugh.
"Your daddy's a smart man," said Henry, "And of course I'd do that for you, I'd do it for any student, especially the ones who've suffered recently. It's not fair to you. And there is no deal Calla, it's simply an offer. I'm just your professor, and it's my job to look out for Gryffindors, I am the house head, after all."

"Oh, OK then." Calla agreed happily. The minds of fickle children, agreeing to anything without realising the dangers.

Henry smiled. This was too easy, now to lay the kill.
"Calla," he began slowly, "After what you've been through, do you have any adult guidance? Have you told your family anything?"

"I haven't told my family anything. The Headmaster might have but I haven't" Calla told Henry as she drank her hot chocolate.

Henry frowned as he continued, "So, you don't have anyone supporting you? Nobody caring for you at all? That isn't right!"

"But why? Why isn't it right? I know plenty of people without parents" Calla didn't tell him that she was talking about the creatures.

Jamie glanced between Henry and Calla Abby Potter. It was an interesting talk between them. Her expression was stoic, but she had a internal battle with herself. Using Calla or leave her alone. Henry was already started, and it would be no use to prevent him, Jamie knew that. But she was already involved, and the girl would give them valuable information.

"Nobody should be alone," said Henry quietly, "Everybody needs someone to tell their nightmares to, someone to cry with. Even someone to tell if there is a hissy in the forest. Calla, do you understand what I'm saying?"

"I, I think so. I'd always ask Mum to comfort me when I saw one but she wouldn't. Daddy had to do it instead and he bought me Jett, my teddy but I didn't bring it to Hogwarts with me because the other student's would bully me".

"Well, that's not right at all, why didn't you say anything?" he asked concernedly, "Calla, if anyone bothers you, I'm here to help. I do that for all my students, as does Professor Prewett, we're here for you."

Jamie didn't plan to say anything, and she just smiled warmly to to the student, to reassure her, if she somehow got suspicious of Henry. Not that it would be possible with the way Henry charmed the little girl. No matter what, she would stay to the plan.

"Okay Sir. Thank you" Calla added as she let out a yawn before ducking her head in embarrasement.

"I think it's time for you to head off to bed now," said Henry kindly, "Do you want either of us to accompany you to the common room, or will you be okay on your own?"

"I think I can manage on my own Sir, remember that the Headmaster added a new spell to all the stairs? I just stand on the cloud and I'll be transported up the stairs. He's been ever so accomidating to me. I wonder if Daddy will send Jett to me?" Calla added as she wandered out of the room without waiting for a reply.

Jamie then glanced toward Henry, after Calla had wandered out of the room.
"So what's the plan?" she asked with a raised eyebrow. "You'll be the girl's favorite teacher?"

"Of course," said Henry coolly, "She's a major source for information."
He shut the door slowly behind Calla as he watched her leave.
"She's been visiting the forest, who knows what she can tell us?" asked Henry with a large smile.

"That's what I thought," she said. She glanced at Henry with a small smile. "We're gonna use a little girl as a source of information." She didn't say it as a question, only as a fact. She glanced upon him warily. He seemed to be quite happy.

She looked at him coolly. "Of course not," she answered just as coldly. "It's just a foolish girl after all, who will probably tell you many things what's happening in the woods. She has a bowtruckle, for Merlin's sake." She looked at the empty cup, Calla had left behind her.
"All my concern is whether it is smart or not," she said. "She could very easily tell."

"Why would she? I'm just the kind professor who helps her out. She's all but abandoned by her family, and I'm the perfect surrogate for that connection," said Henry with an easy shug, "She'll be jumping through hoops once she grows attached, which, is very likely. If I play her right, she'll become a key to our success."

Jamie had no doubt that Henry would manage to spin Calla into feeling safe. But good, how the girl would be heartbroken, when she once realized that Henry had been the enemy all time. It reminded Jamie way to much of her own son. But did a little girl matter that much, when it came to destroy the magical creatures, so they wouldn't hurt anyone anymore..
"All right. You're right," she sighed. She hated to admit it, but it was just a girl. "I just feel a bit wary. I've got no doubt that you will manage it."

"Jamie, don't worry," he said calmly, "The atudents here and teachers will offer plenty opportunity. As long as we play it right, they'll see the heroism in our actions. They won't blamr us in the end."
Henry knew he was lying completely. He wasn't a hero at all. He was just a man with a rather simple goal. Nothing else mattered until he got there, but Jamie didn't need to know that.

She looked skeptically at him. She wasn't looking out to be a hero to these people at all. And she heavily doubted they would. If these people mirrored Selwyn's beliefs, which came from his actions, as he had secluded the school. They would have a large grudge, she was sure of it. She decided to to not call the sentiment out. It wouldn't do any good.
"Alright," she shrugged. "As long we play it right," she mused over the words. It wouldn't be easy for her, perhaps for him, but she would try. She was perhaps clever, but apparently not as clever as Henry was. Not that she would tell him.

They sat in silence for a while, before Henry stood up.
"Come on, I'll show you to your rooms, you can settle in and find a lesson plan. If we're doing this, you need to be convincing," said Henry with a nod.

She glared at him for his comment about being convincing, and stood up too.
"Fine," she said. "And I can be convincing when I need to, which will apparently be all the time now. Don't worry, Henry," she said with a sarcastic tone.

"Worry, about you? Never!" he admonished sarcastically in response as they exited the staff-room. "And I trust your acting skills, you can keep up script with me at least."
