what do you guys think of Hermione/Severus, Hermione/Lucius, Hermione/Sirius or Hermione/Remus? Personally I don't really like them. I will read them if they have a good plot, but other than that I kind of find them creepy. I think they are more like a father figure (yes, even Lucius) to her than a romance interest. I did find a really good story about Hermione being Severus' daughter. It's called Different Paths. See, I'll read them, but ONLY if its time travel and they're the same age. I won't read her with an adult during present time. So, she'll either have to be stuck back in time or when she returns they don't resume what they had in the past. I do agree they fit more as a father figure *nods* |

Thinking along the lines of "disturbing" pairings, what do people think of Twincest? And if you don't like it, is it okay if there is another person involved like Harry or Draco?

I don't think magical animagi are possible but I'm not against them. I think Phoenix's are overused though. My posts were the same!. RP's or game threads. Awww I rather like when Harry is a Phoenix or Dragon, even a Gryffin is good to, or a big cat of some kind, or a bird mainly bird of prey like a falcon of some sort. What is your top favorite male and female characters? Harry Severus Lucius Tom Draco ------------- Luna Hermione Daphne Susan Fluer Not really fully in order save the top of each grouping, the rest is just as I thought of them. Thinking along the lines of "disturbing" pairings, what do people think of Twincest? And if you don't like it, is it okay if there is another person involved like Harry or Draco? The Twins are the only ones I see it being okay with and have no problems with a threesome of either Harry or Draco. |

That is why I love TitansRule's fics Uncovering the Truth and the sequels. the relationship of Hermione and Sirius is really sweet and it does help that she is with Harry and still is friends with Ron and the rest of the Weasleys. Whenever people pair Harry and Hermione the Weasleys usually get taken out of the picture and it just irks me! |

I like him as a big cat or bird of prey too. I've read a brilliant one where he's a flamingo. And there's another one where he finds Snape as an injured bat.
Missed Lucius and Tom off my list but they are definitely on there too! and the all the male Weasley's except for Ron and Arthur.
I don't mind threesomes but only between certain characters.
I prefer them in the Naruto fandom to the HP one.

I believe the Flamingo one is simply called Pink. and I'm pretty sure the bat one is called Tightrope and has a sequel called Trustworthy (I think) but that hasn't been update in quite a while. The first one is still worth reading thought, as the sequel doesn't need to be read really. |

Lots of different opinions on pairing and favourite chars. It is nice to have a place to discuss this. I tend to stay in canon-territory concerning HP-fics, but recently I have been reading others. I tend to avoid Slash, it's just not my thing. But the whole Severus/Harry, mentor etc. can work. A good 1 in that cat is: Vows. from Zarathustra46. Sev is actually his father in this case, I'm not sure how you feel about that. It is disliked in most cases. as for pairing, mostly canon, but there are good stories in the HP/HG section, with evil Dumbles in most cases. HP/DG works as well. It is interesting to learn of other peoples opinions on this matter.

I like the fics that show Severus, Remus or Sirius as parental figures and not romantic interests *shudders*. I'll have to look into that story, sounds like Different Paths by idle lumberjack (Hermione/Severus, father/daughter. though in the beginning she doesn't know about him being her father. it's an interesting twist.)

I haven't read Different Paths, but it sounds like a good read. Haven't read many sev/hermione parent stories. in most cases Sirius, or some sort of Black turns out to be her parent.

I'm not really a fan of those sorts of parent fics, although I have read a couple where Hermione is a Black. I've read some Snape/Harry parent fics but I prefer mentor/adoption/guardian fics.
I like HP/DG but not HP/HG so much. Not too sure why but I like them to stay as friends.
What do people think of "rescue from the Dursley's" fics? Where Snape of another adult finds Harry being abused (whether it be the simple neglect we see in the books or heavy abuse) and rescues him from the Dursleys.

Those fics are always good to read - the sooner Harry is rescued the better as far as I'm concerned. Don't like it as much when they increase the abuse to violent beatings as I've seen in some fics - they don't need to increase the abuse, what happens in canon is bad enough all by itself. |

Yeah, sometimes they take it too far, but it depends on what mood I'm in. I could read a rape-fic if I was in a dark mood but most of the time I don't like it. All they need to do is add maybe a few slaps or punches every so often. Not like those constant (sometimes 3 times a day) beatings.
I also like Mute!Harry fics but thare aren't all that many. Or Autistic!Harry, Blind!Harry, Deaf!Harry.
I read this one fic that was really sweet where Harry had an accident that caused him to go temporarily blind and deaf and Draco found him and helped get him to the Hospital Wing and communicated with him by writing on the palm of his hand with his finger. Harry didn't know who he was until the end. Can't remember what it was called now.
There was another one that's set in the future where Draco is blind and Harry owns a pet shop. That's by Lomonaaeren, I think. Could read that fic over and over.

Has anyone here read Lomonaaeren's fics? I haven't actually read anything of hears in a long while because I got bored of the really lengthy fics and I don't have time to read them, but I used to and they're all so original! Most of them are Drarry, some are Snarry. I don't remember if she's done other pairings or not but she probably has nearly 200 fairly lengthy fics now.

They watch as the dursleys mistreat him and they can't do anything and they can't get out of the memories, they are stuck there until the memories are done. the only thing about it is that the abuse scenes are graphic, but it does add a lot to the chapters. I believe the last time I read that story, the author had just put Sirius in it. I favorited it, but I can't find it. I believe the title was something along the lines of Harry's Life...... or My Life....... or something like that. |

I'm just the opposite of you biakit - I love reading Snarry but find Drarry weird. I read Drarry too sometimes, but I prefer Snarry to Drarry. ^^ll Has anyone read Harry Potter's Rise to Power? In this story Harry has eidetic memory and can remember everything. It's written in a pretty original way and I'm enjoying it so far. |

Snarry is my favourtie pairing at the moment. I found it a bit weird at first too but...meh. I kind of like Harry and (insert name here) getting over their differences and becoming close like that.
I think I have read some of that rise to power fic but it was a while ago and I don't really remember it that well.

Has anybody read Methods of Rationality? I got bored of it eventually, when it got to about chapter 72. I'd forget what was in the last chapter by the time it was updated and would have to go back and read it and that really bugged me.
