What is everyone's favorite point in the 'reading the books' fics that they most laugh at or find the funniest at the characters reactions to something?

I generally like the twins' reactions in the first book when they realize they hit Voldemort in the face with snowballs.
Also the entire reaction to Harry's long crush on Cho can be funny too.

I enjoy it when Sirius and Remus find out all about Harry's dangerous adventures as well as the romantic bits and the reactions that come with them.

I'm not really picky with their reactions persay. They all usually make me laugh. Lately I'm into ones with death eaters or voldemort being involved in the reading, especially the entire black family. While I love the order (Sirius, Remus and all them) they tend to be used a lot and once and awhile it's nice to see the characters that aren't used as much.

I also like it when the writer has it where Bill doesn't know what happened to Ginny in the second book, that or he knows very little, and I like to see his reactions. I also like to see charlie's reactions; but next to the twins, Bill is my favorite Weasley.

I enjoy Severus' or Draco's reaction to Harry's upbringing. I also like people's reactions to the whole graveyard episode.

I think my favorites are people's reactions to Harry's upbringing and their reactions to Ron/Hermione and Harry/Ginny (especially Ron and Hermione's reactions).

I think my favorite is when Remus and Sirius get very protective... Or when they realize Harry isn't some little boy. The order mind you not Remus and Sirius.

Especially Molly. sometimes I want to slap and shake her when I read parts where she is scolding or what not. Hermione, Harry, Ron, Ginny and the Twins are not the little kids that they used to be (unless they are reading when they are all young like Dimcairien's stories) and I don't think Ron, Harry or Hermione were ever children to begin with, especially Harry and the way he was raised. Ron might have been childish at first but after the first few books he started to really grow.

I really love when the twins find out about the Marauders and that Harry is their "heir" rsrs. Also when the Weasleys start to realise what Harry feels for Ginny, his thoughts about her in HBP are the best! I like to see people's reaction to Harry's upbringing, normally the Weasleys, Hermione, Sirius, Remus and Minerva are the best, but I also like to see Snape's reaction while he realises Harry may not be a prat as he thinks Harry is. It's funny because normally decide whether I'm reading the story or not in the 'The Vanishing Glass' chapter.

I feel in many ways that the adults let the kids of Harry's generation down in so many ways and not just the major characters either (cough, socerer's stone, cough, camber of secrets, cough, cough, dementors, cough, tirwizard tornament, cough, Umbridge, cough, battle of hogwarts, coug- hacking and choking).

I understand that she wants to protect her children, but she needs to realise that keeping them innocent and out of the loop is not going to protect them from a war, and that they need to be prepared. IMO she is endangering them in her naive belief that keeping the real world from them would save their lives.

Hard to choose just one part that I like when reading the "Characters Read the Books" stories as each one is different. But I tend to like seeing the reactions to those reading and hearing of this information for the first time, like second year I can see Bill and Charlie not knowing what happened for being busy with work.
Of all I have read I think my actual favorite of the Reading stories is the one "The Founders Read The Philosophers Stone" it is awesome and hope it weathers the storm with this recent stuff...
Beyond that one you have the one where the Blacks read the books though it is not exactly "Cannon" written or plot.
Crossovers are sweet in regard to the "Read the Books" series because you get the reactions from those who were not present for any of the events and their reactions can be hilarious to say the least, or down right scary, more so in how he was raised and the actions of the staff.
But Snape in either versions reactions can be entertaining to see, though heartbreaking in some aspects after all he has come across more then a few abused students in his house alone, yet ignores he see's right in front of him because of a grudge against his father and godfather.
And of course you have the ones when Dumbledore gets his "you know what" handed to him, which I think is to long in coming. So seeing what reactions to his plans are great as well.
So as you can see I cannot just pick one thing in the likes of these type stories.

^ what do you mean by crossovers? do you mean like the twilight characters reading the book or something else?

Basically, though the HP characters are there as well. I think I have only seen one story with Harry and the Twilight characters read the books though, I could be wrong.
I often read HP/? Crossovers. Not necessarily in regard to "Read the Books" but the crossovers in general. One my fav crossovers in regard to this type is stories by The Venquine, they have a Yugioh/HP series going that I like. But they also have a other crossovers as well, they are more in the Mature area though.

I would like to see more crossover versions of "read the books" fics. There are nowhere near enough of them. And I think we need more with the Slytherins/Death Eaters that have decent grammar/spelling. Most of them ones I've seen are horrible written or highly unoriginal. I'm actually starting to write one myself but it's slow going as I'm in a full-time job, looking for more work once my contract is finished and I get too caught up in other people's fics (I much prefer reading to writing).

I have though to make a "read the books" Chronicles of Narnia one, but I don't know how to start it. I think it would be neat, but yeah, the starting plot is hard to figure out.
I like the crossovers of Hp and Chronicles of Narnia, though they usually don't let the HP characters keep their wands or use magic at all. :/

Oh I would love to see more HP/Narnia crossovers, be they "Read the Books" or some other plot.
Same with the "Dark Side" characters reading the books, of the ones done most of them all based around Humor which is fine but would prefer a bit more realism to the plot then just Humor.

Their reactions are totally unrealistic and they make them ridiculously stupid or insane. The only insane one is Bellatrix and even she wouldn't dance around a room singing nursery rhymes for no apparant reason. I prefer these fics without Harry/Ginny. Personally, I'm not a fan of her. I think the whole looking exactly like his parents thing is a little disturbing and, yes their is nothing wrong with her character, but I feel like his feelings for her came out of nowhere. I'm a lover of Slash anyway so...

lol very true there. Though I do like the ones where they tone down on Bella's insanity a bit, where she just Acts as being completely insane.
Sadly a lot of ones I have come across lately the Plots have been very promising but the stories not so much which is really sad...
Ugh yes Harry/Ginny is actually annoying, I have only read maybe a dozen stories with that pairing. For most part I try to avoid them as most are not that great and just not fond the pairing for pretty much the reasons you said. So I look for non-cannon pairings for Harry, though for the most part I read Slash as well, but if the Het story is good I will read them as well.
