I don't see a problem with non-RtB stories being here as long as it is made clear that they are with a summary or blurb. I read plenty of non-RtB elsewhere.

Dito. Besides there's already the One-Shot Board. Longer stories would basically just be an extension of that, right? (I'm planning a one-shot in correlation with my RtB-fic. It would be nice if I could post that here... Might also serve as advertisement.)  |

I know that I have stories planned for the aftermaths of my RtBs, and I'll probably post them on here if we end up being allowed. Plus, I have ideas for several non-RtBs that I want to do.

I'm all for it! Sure, this is mainly a discussion forum now, but we already have the one-shots, and it would be nice if people could keep their stories here where we are discussing about them, too. It's special and something most fanfiction archives don't have.

Just noticed something. I always thought guests were the lurkers who read without logging in? We still have over 30 guests right now, despite access only by login. How's that possible?

I'm on your side here. So, when I get around to putting non-RtB fics up, I intend to move those authors up near the top of the board so they'll get more exposure. Those authors who only have their discussion forum will remain where they are. In effect, I'll split the categories into 2 alphabetically-organized sections - non RtB authors and those with RtB review sections. Sound good? |

Just to let you know: After noticing that the RtB's on the Challenge board were still there, I messaged Willy. As he didn't have time right now, he asked me to delete them, just to make sure Proboards doesn't kick the whole forum because we overlooked these few stories. But my Mod rights seem not enough to delete other's threads (or I'm too stupid to find the right button), so I just removed the text for now. So don't be too surprised about how these threads look like until Willy can get around to properly remove them. Sorry, folks, but we want to keep the rest of the board, right? But one good news (I think ) - while searching how to go about it, I finally noticed the print button in the dark blue beam at the top and bottom of the threads and remembered what I learned many years ago on a phpBB board: Clicking on the print link puts the whole thread in one long document - which then can be saved. So it would be possible to save the whole thing in a few moments. The design may not be that great, but better than nothing, right? |

Haven't used that for ages and had completely forgotten about it, but when I saw the link, I suddenly remembered what our old Admin told me once and tried if that works here the same way. The format is probably limited (with my browser it's only as a webarchive, not sure about others) but the text can always be copied into another format. Did you remember that before or after you deleted the text? Meaning - did you save them? Before, and tested it to see if it works here the same way as I know from that long deceased forum. But actually, it's not my job to save everyone's stories, that's the responsibility of the authors themselves. |
