In this thread, all Role-playing involving the main Castle should be done. Here is where the Royal Family of Saxony lives, alongside their servants, army men, and other nobles live or come to visit.
It was a warm sunny day when the castle awoke to the new decree being passed. It was part of the first set of Witch Laws. Servants were busy gossiping already. It was no secret that Lord James was under a lot of pressure from the public to deal with the problem. The idea of Witch Hunters excited everyone. It was yet to be decided who would instruct the training for these Hunters, and where it would be held, but speculations sounded.
For long the castle was plagued by nobles arriving with complaints. It seemed like in the past month alone the castle was flooded by guests trying to enforce their issue with witches. Townships were getting paranoid and many were using witchery as a reason to blame neighbors and steal their crops. Others claimed they had been attacked by wizards and demanded justice. Nobles needed some way to organize the matter and be done with the witch problem once and for all. Now, Lord James had finally addressed the problem.
In the West Wing of the Castle, where the Royal Family rested, Lord James awoke to be greeted by his man servant. After being congratulated, he bathed, had his beard trimmed by the boy, and dressed. Once he was presentable, he began walking along the stone floors of the castle.
All around him, servants bowed and curtsied as he made his way for breakfast. As per tradition, he would dine in the Great Hall with his family. He smiled and nodded politely to the servants, who beamed at him. A few of the more unruly, or perhaps braver ones, congratulated him on his decision. He just smiled back.

Florence was shocked by the news of the Decree, she had nothing against magic users, hell she wished she was one most of the time. What could she do now? Help those magic users behind her fathers back? Fight in this war that was bound to happen? Run away? What was she to do?

James headed to the Great Hall in the West Wing and took a seat at the head of the table. He took a seat at the table, and awaited Florence. Everyday, he'd have breakfast with each child of his to talk to them. It was his way of compensating for not being able to give them as much time as he could.

Florence was running late. Today was the day that her Father was to have breakfast with her, and as much as she hated it, she knew she'd have to do it today, how else was she to find out information? Finally she reached the West Wing and practically ran to the Great Hall, only stopping outside to make herself more presentable.

James sighed as he waited for Florence. She was always running late. As much as he loved his daughter, she did tend to forget her duties. He began drumming his fingers on the table as he waited, slightly irritated.

"Your Majesty, ever so sorry that I'm late!" Florence told him as she walked calmly into the Great Hall. "I got caught up in the news of the Decree".

"Of course, my dear," he said with a smile, ushering a man servant over to pull a chair out for Florence, "It's quite alright. However, need I remind you that it is a Lady's job to be on time? Tardiness is for commoners."

"Might I remind you Father that I am not a commoner and that time waits for no one?" Florences shot back in annoyance.

James raised an eyebrow at his daughter. She always fought with him. He couldn't understand why Florence didn't understand that he was only trying to help her become a better princess.
"Time may not wait, my dear," said James in his calm voice, "But neither do I. I have a kingdom to run and a schedule to follow. In the future, when your married, you'll have your schedule to follow to run your husband's lands."

"I think your wrong Father. Thomas is nothing like you and he's a spontanious man!" Florence retorted back indignantly.

"I was rather spontaneous when wooing your mother," said James, "But when you grow up and responsability takes over, you'll wish you listened to me then. Anyways, enough about me, how are things going with you and Thomas? I remember you being upset at the arrangement."

"Well I think your wrong and for your information Tommy and I love one another" Florence bounced back at her Father.

"I'm glad to hear that," said James as the man servant began serving out the breakfast of boar and gruel, "And believe me wrong, but you have responsability not only to Thomas when you marry, but his land and people as well."

"Yeah well the way your going we might not have much land left! How do we know that most of those that live on his land aren't magic users?" Florence retorted as she folded a napkin over her clothes.

"Witches, you mean?" asked James, raising his fork to his lips, "Why would they be? He owns small land, and statistically speaking, out of every ten people, only 1 or 2 turn out to be wizards. I doubt all of them would meave to the Tubridy estates, though it would make catching them all far easier for me."

"If you start a War it means that they'll lose their workers, their crops. Everything that they've worked so hard to build up. How would you like it if you were in their situation?" FLorence asked her Father pationately.

"Darling," said James with a sigh, "I don't have a choice. The nobles are swamped with complaints, and if I don't act now, we'll have riots. Besides, it's not a full fledged war yet. For now we're just arresting questionables, and building a group to hunt them out. I'm doing my best to keep a civil war from breaking out, but I can't control everything."

"Have you ever thought that they might just retaliate? What if they kill me or my sister, or one of the others?" Florence was determined to make him see sence.

"Of course I have," said James, growing tired of Florence's nagging. She wasn't seeing the bigger picture! "And let me ask you this? Would it be better that we leave them alone, and have villagers riot and murder anyone who plucks questionable herbs? Or if we try and contain it and flush them out? And those riots I'm talking of won't end with just attacking each other. They'll blame the nobles running their lands. We would descend into a cival war between regular folk and wizards and everyone. Nobody would trust again. At least in taking control of the situation, I have subdued an impending storm!"

"We were better off without your idiot Decree. Why do you think Aelesia ran odd to be a nun?" Florence retorted back as she moved away from the table.

James had enough of Florence. He fixed her with a glare. "Enough," he said in a quiet, commanding tone. "Aelesia chose to go to the convent because she didn't wish to marry. As I recall, that winter I sent you to Tubridy to finalize the engagement. Don't talk like a fool of matters you don't know. I have ruled this kingdom since I was younger then you! And successfully, may I add. If you cannot see the bigger picture, then keep quiet. Just because I nicely let you speak your opinions does not mean you can run rampant. You are dismissed. Until you can learn to respect my decisions and shut up, or get some common sense, don't show your face to me. I shall let the guards know you are confined to your rooms. Perhaps some time to think will teach you respect for your father, and understanding for the kingdom. Be gone!"

"I know more than you think Father! I'll leave alright but I WON'T be coming back!" Florence spat at her Father.

James continued to glare. "Then act like it! If you can't understand common logic, then you are a fool, and you obviously never paid attention in your lessons. The guards will escort you to your rooms, and you are under house arrest. Remember Florence, women are meant to be seen, not heard, and a woman with who speaks idiocy is never looked upon with respect."

Aeleisia was sitting upon her horse (Sideways of course, the nuns would never approve of a lady sitting on a horse straight.) as she rode up to her families home. It was her day to go out and do as she pleased in the outside world, a day she took advantage of every time it came about, as the Nuns didn't allow people outside the Convent very often. Slowly, she dismounted from the mare, Stella was her name.

After the rather terrible breakfast with Florence, James settled to work. He filled out some papers, sorted a few issues with the current taxes, and began editted an edict just before heading for a walk before lunch. He strolled through the castle leisurely, when he noticed Thomas, Florence's fiance. He was rather surprised to see the young man, ans immediately called out, "Sir Tubridy, fancy meeting you here!"

Elizabeth moved from her spot and followed His Majesty aa he walked through the castle walls remainig seven feet behind him, waiting for any orders he might give her.

Thomas made it to the castle in record time, dismounting from his horse and handing the reigns over to a Livery Stable Groom he made his way to Florence, or rather he tried to but King James intercepted him before he could. "Your Majesty" Thomas greated with the nod of a head.

"Ah of course," said James with a smile, "She's currently on lockdown, so she's not allowed out of her rooms just yet, I'm afraid, but I'll arrange for a guard to bring her to you in the private drawing rooms, of course,"
