"He's not very subtle in anything he does," said Amelia with a roll of her eyes, "Didn't you see him with Aura today? It's not bad enough that he has a reputation among women in the town, he's blatantly throws that image around! Now woman will marry him if he doesn't settle."
"Tears are the quickest way to send a man running," said Robby with a chuckle, as he moved and hit Rylan in the head lightly for taking the mickey of him, "Or at least my weakness. But witches and wizards are much less frightening than tears. Speaking of tears Ry, when should we depart for the Academy? I know you want to get your affairs in order, but I think we should hit the road soon. Like, tomorrow soon. How about you?"

"He flirts too much, I don't know how to!" Joshua laughed. "We need a middle ground here."

"Flirts too much? Oh that's tame," said Amelia, working herself into a rant she and Vicky had all the time, "If only you had heard the rumors! He's out to embarrass mum, that one! The grocer's girl and mum couldn't look each other in the eye because Robby had an affair with her! And then the married women he's supposedly had flings with! One woman even had the gall to ask mother if it was true that the Tailer Windmere's son was actually Robby's child! Can you imagine that?!"

"The problem with tears," Rylan turned to explain to Aura, "Is that they are normally an indication that a woman is upset with a man; and hell hath no fury like a woman. Hence, tears mean that the men need to take a hike for a little while."
Turning to Robby, Rylan bit his lip in consideration. He was a bit anxious leaving home so soon, he'd always been a simply farm boy; quite content. However, he knew Robby wouldn't wait long, and he couldn't let his best friend go alone.
"We can probably be on the road tomorrow. However, I would like to make sure Grace isn't going to cause my mother a problem; it wouldn't do to leave just as my mother is handed another task. Grace should be alright though, so tomorrow sounds good."

Joshua began to laugh at Amelia's indignant face. "Well, that's much more extreme than I imagined!"

Aura looks down at this news, "I hope the both of you will be careful. Also Rylan where did your mother head off to?" aura wonders since rylan's mother had mentioned looking her over before she went to tend Gracie.

"Or in my case, it usually means that the husband's caught on and I need to run," added Robby with a good-natured grin, "But that sounds like a plan then Rylan. Are you staying here tonight Aura, or should I accompany you to my place to spend the night with my sister and sister-in-law? Or Rylan can. I need to make a round to town anyways."
"It's Robby," said Amelia with a huff, "At least mum doesn't need to worry about grandchildren from him."

"Don't you worry about us, you've got enough to worry about already. We can take care of ourselves; or should I say I can take care of myself while keeping Robby from killing himself."
Rylan looked toward the door where his mother would come through, "Mum will probably be just about done attending to Grace, she'll be in in just a few moments."

"After everything that you've done for me today, I believe you've earned the right for me to worry over you. As for where I'll stay, I think I'll stay here for the night. It has been a long day and I'll retire as soon as possible." she tells the pair quietly

"Good plan! I'll be back in the morning to pick you up then Ry," said Rylan with a nod, "Tell your mom thanks for dinner! I'm heading over to say goodbye to a few other friends, if you know what I mean!"
With a devilish smirk, Robby turned around and headed for the door, humming a jaunty tune as he did so.

Aura shakes her head at Robby's actions with a quiet goodbye. She then turns to look at the door where Felicia is and waits for an appearance by the kind hearted woman.

"Robby!" Rylan replied exasperatedly, grabbing a cloth and throwing it at Robby as he left. Merely moments after the boy was gone, Felicia entered from the other door, looking very flustered.
"Sorry for being so long, Dear! Grace isn't badly hurt, but she likes to pretend she is! Goodness knows how long it took to settle her done, her father is tending to her know. How are you? Let me see your burns, and I'll get a nice paste on them."

"that is alright and I think I'm fine. But I was...harmed earlier today and I need to change my bandages again." aura replies with a sheepish smile and complies with her orders.

"Harmed?" Felicia replied sharply, putting a hand on both hips and turning to glare at Rylan. "I swear, if you boys allowed any harm to come to this sweet girl you'd better hope you have a good reason for it!" She huffed and went to a cabinet and pulled out some ingredients and began to mix them together as she spoke to Aura over her shoulder, "Please elaborate on 'harmed'."

"Please, it is not at the fault of Rylan and Robby that I was harmed. There was a fire at the Manor I loved in. I was burned there, but I managed to escape. I met the boys and Amelia at the clinic where bandages were placed on me to protect the burns. The nurse said I should change them in the evening and with the soup falling on to me and Grace; it is best to replace them." Aura hopes her explanation is satisfactory for the kind hearted woman. She hopes that she'll agree so that she may rest.
