JKR wasted another good character here; she could have been a proof that at least some ministry workers have a brain and some sense for justice. After she was killed, pretty much everyone in charge was corrupt to the bone and unable to get their heads out of their butts and do something useful. But I guess that was her plan - have the Ministry fall with barely any resistance.
As I find the Ministry in the book beyond pathetic, I like it when Harry gets her help to get Sirius free and then both work with her to clean up the Ministry and Wizengamot.

Do you also find that the actress who portrayed her in the film didn't exactly meet the expectations that we've all build up for her? It ust doesn't feel like Amelia to me.

I do as well, do you have any recommendations on good fanfics of these? From the top of my head, I'd recommend A Marauder's Plan by CatsAreCool, as well as the stories by old-crow and Robst. Do you also find that the actress who portrayed her in the film didn't exactly meet the expectations that we've all build up for her? It ust doesn't feel like Amelia to me. Can't tell you, as I never watched the movies, sorry. Sounds like she didn't act the determined head of DMLE? |

A few stories done by robst have her in them and are fantastic in my opinion. The two time travels have her in the most and one has her as minister.

Always fun, particularly as there you know they won't be too dark and angsty, and the outcome will be good. So, even if I don't agree with everything (as usual), I like these stories.

Most of Robst's stories are Harry/Hermione pairing, and unfortunately I hate H/Hr because I see them more of a sibling relationship. But, I do love Harry and Amelia working together. If anyone can recommen me anyother stories I would love to read it.

The new story by sprinter1988 seems to be going into the same direction, these two working together to thwart both Fudge and Dumbledore and do something about Voldemort, too. Though it's only three chapters so far, so it's hard to tell how it is developing. |

We both know a good story when we see one  I've read a good number of his other stories, too, and enjoyed some quite a bit. He certainly doesn't necessarily go the usual paths, which makes it more suspenseful. |

I have read that one too and have favorited it... I love stories where Harry takes charge of his life or Sirius helps Harry taking charge... There was one story i read where Sirius was angry at even Remus for not looking after Harry. I dont think that story was complete and i dont remember the title or the author.

Jeeva, I've read one or two where Sirius wasn't happy with Remus to one degree or another, and they were finished, but I don't know if it's what you meant. In the one Sirius forgave him, in the other not.

Jeeva, I've been trying to remember since my last post! Unfortunately, I didn't favourite them, so it's hard to find them again with the many stories I have read over time. Of one, I remember enough of the summary that I should be able to find it again, or at least I hope. Still trying, if I can find it again, I'll let you know.

Still haven't found it, despite trying a number of searchs ... *grumbles*
The summary had something about Sirius deciding to get even with all the people who betrayed him by leaving him to rot in Azkaban. If I don't mix stories up, then when they left the Shrieking Shack, he locked Snape in with Remus, and he got somehow free and custody of Harry (can't remember how that was done in this particular fic). There was something about the prisoners of Azkaban being fed infertility potion on Dumbledore's order, and it ended with Sirius taking control of Voldemort and in turn the Death Eaters, but not for evil purposes.
Does that sound familiar to you?

I've tried an Azkaban, Fertility Potion search whilst clicking Sirius Black but I've got nothing because there's tons ofthem that match the search.
