Do you think they'll delete most of Naruto? Because that's wholly violence. The only things that would survive are the High School fics and sappy romance one-shots.

And a lot more as well. When I left for my holiday a week ago, I had still at least 145 favourites, today morning it were 130, and now I am down to 125. It's really making one nervous about looking at the list at all, always worrying who has vanished this time ... I'm so glad I have all the backups!

Not to boast of anything, but I'm really thankful my series is still up there.

Still being the keyword ... they certainly don't do it with any system I could recognise. I'd cross my fingers for you, but I am not sure it would help much ...

there are still a huge amount up there though. there's one community with 955 still there. I'll check back there every now and again to see if the number drops but new ones are added every day. I've been telling those new authors about this site too.

I know, but when you look at people with more than one book done, their stories seem to be pulled randomly. Not all of them at the same time, but one here, one there, not necessarily older or newer first ... Still wondering how they go about that. And it doesn't seem to me that they use certain communities, either.

I know that the number of stories listed under a c2 hasn't been updated competently. If you look at Anniriel's community, it says it's got 880, but if you go to the last page, it says 654.

Very odd. I hadn't noticed that because I rarely go to the last page. I might have to check that when I get home.

Yes, it's always the first think I do. That I did one time and then bookmarked the site. Much less bother than to change age group, language and all that every time I look at it.

Well, it looks like my favorites have yet to be hit, I still have 282 right now, but I have not browsed my favorite autho'rs profiles to see if some of their fics were purged. I don't think I really want to do that right now or anytime soon.

I think about 6 fics or so just got purged just this last night... had 899, now at 893. Yeesh. Of course, I originally started at over 950... At least I've started saving fics now... just wish I had MUCH earlier. Of course, I didn't know about the fic downloaders, because I would've been doing them by hand...

I actually tried copying the fics by hand and thought I was going to die lol. Flagfic makes it so much easier now in my opinion.

what I find odd is that I haven't been deleted yet. I wonder if it's because it has the British royal family in it?

Probably only a matter of time. Was just reading reviews to GreenIcePhoenix's story and found a 'review' from one of these idiots from the Critics United. Granted, they made suggestions, but still, they threaten with reporting. Which they will probably do anyway, seeing how they act. Already sent the author a PM with links to other possibilities, this site included. It seems they are now trying to pretend to keep the proper way, just so they can feed their self-righteousness. God, these people annoy me!

and yet the majority of these critics don't even write!

Of course they don't write themselves. If they did, they'd have not the time for this witch hunt and more respect for the work of others.

more like they'd be jealous of the work that goes into these works of art..

dammit The Venquine's story has finally been taken down even though she had received an email to say she would be safe.

Knowing at least one of her stories - why should she be safe? It's the same as all the other CR stories, after all, just the circle of readers a bit different. I know she trusted the words of someone whose position I am not sure about and the fact that JKR accepts fanfiction, but why should FFN care for that? Or that stupid league, for that matter? At least she has everything backed up, I've been exchanging PMs with her.

One of them got involved on my friends Hunger Games fic, and while I very patiently explained to her that his fic did not break the rules in any way, she still managed to get it deleted.

Just proves that they don't really care if the fic is within or outside the TOS, they delete just because they can. Any questions why I have backed up not only the CR fics, but a lot of normal ones as well? And particularly the T and M stories?

Well, Venquine's deletion is upsetting, but I knew it was coming. I hate Critics United. They don't understand what it means to be an author, not really. They just don't contemplate how hard we work to make our stories the best that they can be!

One of my favs Harry and the Rise to Power got deleted. it wasnt MA nor was it a read a books so Idk what basis it was on. Just reinforces my opinion that they don't care. Somehow I suspect they just search stories for certain words, and if a story contains one of them, then it gets deleted without any checking of the actual content. So along the line of in the story someone saying "I'm not ready for sex yet" and the Critics United saying "Oh, they have sex, let's delete it". And seeing that even pussy is on the index ... I can just recommend to back up all stories you love, and if authors say anything about other sides they are posting at, keep track of that. I've made myself a list for some, particularly when that was said in updates, which might get deleted in the end.

I always go to Cwam's CR community, they had been up to 33 pages now they are down to 29. A lot of other stories I was reading that aren't CR have been deleted to Has there been any further response from FFN recently?
