MonkeyMail and Nikki-Love13 fics have been deleated as well. Another reading Deathly Hallows is gone as well. I'm glad that you have backed your fic up here.  |

I've noticed people reposting theirs too. I'm not sure if that's a bad idea or a brilliant one. If you just kept reposting your story every time they took it down what would they do? Delete your account?

I work at a law firm in Britain and I've told a couple of people about this mass deletion of people's work and they all say it shouldn't be allowed, and they're solicitors/lawyers/barristers.

I've joined this list as well - Price of Peace 3 just got pulled. I find it interesting that they went for the third, not the first or second, given that they were the two that stuck rigidly to the text.
I'm not going to bother reposting on ff.net - I said days ago that if it didn't stop, I was leaving the site - I've got other places to go, thankfully. Now I just have to wait until Sunday before I can tell my readers that.

One of mine just did too- not that it was completed or that I planned on doing so but still... I also noticed that I've lost over 30 fics from my favourites in the last few hours.
And you're right, they have no legal recourse to be allowed to delete fics; especially without prior warning and a probationary period. If the the fics were outside of the law (i.e. People actually claiming ownership) or they were offensive in nature (racsist etc) then in certain circumstances they may be in rights. It's like me going around and burning books because they may intefere and promote different ideals to my own.
I do hope Monkeymail and Nikkilove13 repost somewhere- the latters story was nearing it's end and I've been waiting months for it. Thank goodness all you others are here already.

I still haven't lost mine, luckily enough.
I haven't noticed any missing favourites... well, a couple but not a lot.
I'm getting kinda sick of it, actually... I mean, everyone is moving away and stories disappear left, right and center without message from the admins/ whoever deleted them...

The deathly hallows fic was by Laura Potter is Awesome - I hope she continues it elsewhere, there's nothing on her profile yet. This was another that was nearing the end of DH, there are very few that have got so far yet.

Nikkilove13 is continuing it on her tumblr page - I think she's under the same name. Monkeymail did say she'd continue on a different site if the story was deleted, or that she would take the book part out and continue it, but I haven't heard anything yet.

I was just reading a fic and then I had to take my dogs for a walk, when I came back I clicked to read the next chapter and it was gone. Looks like yet another fic has gone. It was 'Hermione's trip to the past 'series. This is becoming very annoying.

Unfortunately, I just saved the HP Reading stories from jlmill9 and not the Percy Jackson ones. I'm downloading the Twilight one now as well. Just in case.
BTW - have any of Twilight reading the books been deleted or just Harry Potter?

So, Quidditch Players and Lovers Read 1,2,3,4 and 5 have been deleted along with When Secrets are Revealed. They left QP&L 6 and 7. Why?
