Well THAT hardly seems fair. On that other forum even the Mods and Admins had the same ranks. I don't know if that's possible on these forums or not.

I think Point Given is an admin because he started the site, and everyone who's writing a story on here is a mod. I don't exactly know how it works though.

Yeah everyone who has their own board is a mod because they need that title to control their section.

I know that this may seem random but does anyone have Sage of Seals' Naruto reads Naruto? If you do could you send it to me or something? I just checked and it was gone from my fav's. How in the hell is reading fanfics illegal anyway?

d'awwww. I knew I forgot to save something
Also, I'm pretty sure that the RtB ban has to do with copyright law. I think it could be considered plagiarism, or perhaps just a copyright violation.

SoS got permission from from all the authors who's fics were featured. Heck, all of them actually loved the critique that her characters gave and wrote reviews for the fic. Edit: I hhave just found and saved the fic after searching google.

Yea, after I got ahold of the link (thanks cody), I found that, kinda like with Laura Potter's Umbridge reads DH, the link still worked even if you couldn't see it on FFnet

I've sent a message to Laura and she knows about the site, so she should be on here soon anyway

So, I finally broke down and gave the Critics United my thoughts on the purge that has taken place on ff.net. After cooling down for a bit, I have to say that I agree that some of the "M" rated content really needed to be somewhere else. I say this mainly because I sat down and tried to find something that could change my mind about why there is no "MA" rating on ff.net. Unfortunately, I found just the story that could change my mind. All I can say is that it was in the HP section and that it involved the rape of one of the more favorable female characters while she was underage, luckily it has been deleted from viewing since last night. I can't say that I agree about the deleting of "characters read" stories because none of the authors who wrote thme got money from the supposed "plagiarism" and they mainly wrote them for enjoyment. Here's a word by word account of what I wrote on the CU forum:
I can't say that some of the members of the group are all that pleasant but their are some that have a heart. It really seems that a major player of reporting fics are the Literate Union and some people who want to stir up some controversy. I hope I didn't offend anyone here about my thoughts on the "M" rating purge but I needed to be honest on this issue.

Does anyone know any good books to read? I'm running out of books to read.

My list of good books is quite extensive, but here's a few of them. I don't know if you've read any of them, but here you go.
Out of the Silent Planet, Perelandra, That Hideous Strength (C.S. Lewis') It's his Space Trilogy. Basically, anything by C.S. Lewis is worth the read.
Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Much Ado About Nothing (these are a few of my favorite Shakespeare plays)
Jane Eyre (Charlotte Bronte)
The Lord of the Rings (along with any other Tolkien books)

For those not in the know of Proboards.
Admin Powers: They can do everything that is listed in the Member Group Powers as a Default. Global Moderator Powers: Can do all that Admin does IF, Admin has given them that ability. Save for Deleting the Forum and Creating or Modifying Member Groups. Moderator Powers: Only have Staff power in the boards in which they Moderate.
It is one the things that Proboards has yet to find an answer for, I think there is a code that removes Moderator when outside the board they are a Mod of, but I would have to look for it and then not sure if it still works, since last checked...

I didn't know where else to post this very happy news. I just found the British Edition of all seven Harry Potter books, plus the American Edition. They're all in .pdf, .epub, .azw, and .rtf format. YAY! Now I can finally, finally get to start writing the next book. I don't know why I'm finicky like this in the matter of me writing the British Edition books instead of just using the American ones... but oh well - I found them now. ^___^

I know it seems stupid, but I don't like it when they use the same idea over and over as to how they get the books in the first place. I don't know how many times I've seen the books falling on someones head, but it has really begun to bug me.

Yeah I agree with that. Or someone creating a way to travel into the past to give them the books.

I dont mind that as much as long as it's original, just don't use something thats been done millions of times before! If they come into the past on a unicorn or something, and i'd never seen that done before, i'd probably go with it.

LOL! Time travelling unicorn? I'd like for them to read somewhere new too. Somewhere that isnt the RoR, Grimmauld, the Great Hall, the Burrow or some random room created by the fates.

It was the first thing I could come up with I don't think I've read one that actually WASNT set in one of those places, you know. It would be good if someone wrote one about the trio reading Deathly Hallows in the tent while they're looking for Horcruxes.

That would be cool. Before Ron leaves though. More emotions and tension that way.

Yeah! I would write it myself, but I've already got one to worry about at the moment maybe after that one is finished.

Hm, my way was somewhat original as I actually developed the fates, but otherwise, it was pretty standard.
I think if someone wants to pick an original timing of sorts, they should use Harry's third year, instead of the Firebolt, he gets the books. Or they could have the books delivered via goblins. I mean, who knows what random stuff they can do. Maybe a goblin offers the group a trade, only to double cross them when the books are over. A sneaky goblin to mistrust. Just throwing it out there for anyone who wants to have a go,

LOL! Imagine a goblin giving them the books! This is really original and the one of reading in the tent too, but I really don't care for how the books are given to them it's the afterwards that matters to me. I don't like when the next generation is reading too or Tom Riddle, but Sirius and Remus must be there. I don't like when Molly is there, she's always freakin' out and she pisses me off a lot.
