Lucinda had spent a good majority of her morning speaking with the other creatures of the forest and readying them for an eventual attack. For now, she couldn't fathom the idea that Ministry would want to storm the Forbidden Forest while the students were in their classes. It would be a unwise move on their part, and many of the parents would be angry - especially if their kids were harmed in the crossfire.
She had spied upon the students and professors at the school already, and knew that quite a few of them would react badly if anything happened. She let out a low, sad trill. Hopefully, it didn't come to that. The humans in the castle were rather admirable, for the most part. She'd hate to see them harmed for supporting the creatures of the forest. Even so, nothing could stop the ache in her chest as she thought of them.
Oh, Artemus! What she wouldn't give to be a familiar again...

I set my ax down. This was getting me no where. I wanted to feel the human skulls as I crushed them, hear their squeals of pain. See their eyes, begging for mercy, as I slaughtered the lot of them. But I was at home. When would the battle begin? All I needed was one spark, one sign of real war, and not these hazy interpretations the ministry kept printing.
Again I stared down at the village. A woman laughed as a man grabbed her around the waist. Courtship. The mere idea of it sickened me. Humans creating more humans. Their vileness knew no bounds. If they had any decency, they'd kill themselves and save us the trouble.
But then, humans were never decent. The Minister had taught me that long ago. And it was for that reason they gave me reason to wipe them out. Like a disease. Humanity was a disease.

I knew today was going to be a good day. I didn't know why, it was just that morning feeling. I got out of bed and put on my favorite red robes, cut just half way dow my thigh. My black curly hair was pulled back with a large red hair tie, with a bow on it. And I was out the door with a smile on my face.
Maybe today I would make a new friend, maybe I'd see Eleazar again. The feeling of the war was not at all important. In a spur decision, I walked into a book store near my house to buy some anatomy books. Of course the information of even human anatomy wouldn't be the same as my parents, but it would be well worth just reading again.

What to do now? I know I have Lexie but I do still miss my first companion. Oh why did Arie have to die? She was ever so sweet, not like Lexie. It's a nice change but sometimes Lexie can be rather adventurous for my tastes. I guess that's why Lucinda and I get along so well, her companin betrayed her and mine died. I do so hope that we all survive this and that Lucinda finds another companion, possibly someone with a family. I feel she'd be good with the kiddies. Oh well another day of recon for me.

Rhea was restocking some books, when the bell above the door rang. She looked up to see another women who looked quite happy. Rhea was ever so slightly relieved to see that the other women was petite like Rhea was, though of course she was still the taller out of the two. Rhea was so small, she was often mistaken for a young girl, despite being 21.
Quickly putting the last book on the shelf, she walked up to women saying, "Hello, is there anything I can help you with?"

(OOC: Switching to third person]
Alice stared at the store in wonder. It was beautiful. In her good mood, she was smiling at everything. Her hands itched to get a hold of those books. Without a second thought, she moved towards the shelves. Until-
"Is there anything I can help you with?"
Alice jumped slightly, as a petite woman appeared out of no where. The girl was quite a bit shorter than Alice, though just as slim. The girl-woman looked pale, and something about her seemed familiar. Not in the I-know-you way, but something about the way she looked seemed familiar. Was she inflicted by something?
"I-I'm looking for some books on anatomy, can you help me?" asked Alice gently, trying not to have a cooing in her voice. Children tended to be upset when addressed as such.

(Girl-woman? I'll remember that one.)
Rhea quickly, and sadly, noticed that the customer seemed as if she was uncomfortable around Rhea... Almost all wizards and witche's reacted like that. Their subconscious thoughts trying to warn them, to keep them safe from the monsters. Self-conciously, Rhea raised one hand to her ears, that was slightly pointed due to her lycanthropy. Trying to pass it off as a movement of pushing a strand of hair behind her ear, she lowered her hand slowly.
With her pointed ears, Rhea easily picked up the ever so slight coo in the other's voice... It always annoyed her how others thought of her as a child, though she could understand it. "Right this way," She replied, making her quiet voice pack a bit of authority into it. Rhea wanted to show that she wasn't a little girl. Holding her head high, Rhea led the woman to the section about anatomy.

(*Chuckles. I needed an adjective ) Alice beamed at the girl. She wondered what year in Hogwarts the girl was in. She noticed the girl brush her hair behind her years, and immediately noticed the pointed tip. Her eyes widened in recognition, but she kept her smile on her face. The girl was some kind of half-breed, if only Alice could remember which.
The girl immediately turned and began leading her into the shop. Alice's mind was swirling, trying to think. Was the girl infected with lycanthropy?
"So why aren't you in Hogwarts? This store is beautiful? Do your parents own it? You have such pretty red hair!" babbled Alice, not wanting to make the girl uncomfortable.

Rhea blinked- This woman was proving to be a chatterbox. A bit ticked off, she replied a bit coldly,
"Thank you." She began grudgingly, "And I graduated from Hogwarts four years ago. I have co-ownership of this shop along with my mother." Rhea's eyes were glaring daggers at the woman for assuming she was a child. Taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes for a moment and looked away, attempting to calm herself. Rhea's Mother had always said she needed anger management...

"Your older than I am! I only graduated a year ago!" said a surprised Alice.
She barely noticed the girl's anger.
"And already owner of a store, well, co-owner. Wow! And I'm stuck doing clerical duties and paying debts off. It must be lovely to work among the books all day," said Alice with a wide smile.
The lycanthropy wasn't an issue. The girl just had a disease. No sense in acting all odd about it, the girl wasn't near a full moon, and even if she was, well, her parents had prepared her inadvertently for anything.

"What a surprise." Rhea replied dryly to the other girl's exclamation.
"It's not the best job in the world, but my mother started it when I was younger, and I'm not.... well suited for most jobs, so I took what I could get." Which was likely, the only job she could get. So many werewolf laws made it near impossible to become employed, as no one would be willing to hire a werewolf. Rhea was likely to be stuck in her mother's bookstore for her whol life.

"Well, a day without surprise is a boring day," said Alice with a smile, not hearing the girl's sarcasm.
"The muggle world would be filled with jobs you could take. And I know newspapers and such don't need a person to come to work, they pay little, but if you wanted to write you should go for it. Don't get discouraged too easily. There's always a person willing for an extra hand," said Alice warmly.
She beamed at the other girl as she said this.

Raising an eyebrow, Rhea carefully considered her words before replying, "I'm not sure that I would fit into the muggle world. It's not as if I know of any muggle affairs to write about, most of what I would write would probably by related to the wizarding world. Anyways, I'm not particularly a good writer."

"Oh I'd be terrible in the muggle world too. But who would want to leave these books behind? It's been so long since I read anything! I just felt the need to brush up again on anatomy, you know? I'm getting slow. So what house were you in when you were at Hogwarts? I was a Hufflepuff, I must have been a first year when you were in your fifth! Now I work in the ministry as a clerk. It's so tense what with the war brewing, but I know everything will turn out alright. You just have to believe," said Alice brightly.

Merlin this girl could talk... Rhea was very surprised at how bubbly and open she was. Then, she girl caught Rhea off guard... War? "I was in Slytherin." She answered hurriedly before questioning, "What do you mean war? With whom? Is there anyone causing trouble?" No one had ever spoken to Rhea about possibility of war, maybe it was only really known in the Ministry as of yet, only a possibility.

Alice glanced at the girl in surprise. Almost everyone was whispering about the war to their friends. Could her lycanthropy have isolated her from the world? That was awful! The poor girl would need someone to tell her what was coming.
"It's only in whispers," began Alice, "They're talking about cutting off magical creatures. Caging them, executing them, and more. It's only in whispers, but I've heard tales. The ministry is beginning to arm themselves with more knowledge of the magical creatures. And their developing propaganda."

Caging them? Execution? Rhea was getting more and more worried with each word. She tried to seem nonchalant as she asked again, "All kinds of magical creatures? What about half-breed like Vampires?" And werewolves. she added inwardly.

Alice didn't even think before replying, "Of course, they are magical creatures, aren't they? But I'm certain the war will just smooth over. We just need to be positive! Now, where are those books?"
Alice wondered if she'd said too much. She didn't want to scare the other girl. Maybe she should have just kept her mouth shut.

The other girl definitely did not seem to be aware that she had just informed Rhea of her own possible destruction. A bit frantic, Rhea struggled to stay calm as she replied quickly, "On that shelf over there," She pointed toward the mentioned shelf, "I'm sorry miss, but I must excuse myself to the back. I'll send my mother out to help you." Before waiting for a reply, Rhea disappeared to the back of the store.

Alice stared in bewilderment at the back of the girl. Pushing out the odd behavior, she grabbed a few books and paid for them. She left for work, unaware of what the problem was. She hoped that the werewolf girl wouldn't be too panicked. Things weren't going to get bad. You had to be positive!
With that, Alice headed to her job. Another routine day of looking over posters and diagrams.

Harrigan strolled through the forest, trotting at a level pace. Rodimus would be disappointed if none of the centaurs retrieved information of the rumors. Apparently some kind of war was brewing. All Harrigan wanted to know what exactly was the function of a hamburger. Firenze had passed much before explaining this particular thing to Harrigan. It had been almost forty-three years.
Harrigan shifted, his bow slung across his muscluar arm and his quiver along his human back. He looked to the blue sky, a smile on his face. No sense in facing a stranger with fear or anger. He swished his tail happily. It was a beautiful morning, and last night the stars had been clear. He remembered trying to read them with eager patience. However, they seemed to stress some kind of warning.
He heard something moving behind him, and in seconds had an arrow out and readily slung across his bow. Whatever was approaching, he'd be prepared.

I'd been doing the usual rounds when I heard a twig snap, from behind me. I turned quickly to find yet another Centaur behind me. I wonder if he's Kei's husband? "Woah hold it Mr, I don't mean you any harm! I'm an aquantence of Kei, do you know her?"

Kei? Was she not a unicorn? Perhaps a centaur acquaintance. Either way it wasn't a matter of his. Why was a human creature in the forest?
"No clue who this Kei you speak of is, but the bigger question is what is a human doing so deep in the woods? And perhaps the most important question, what is the function of a hamburger? I'd like to know before I have need to hurt you," said Harrigan excitedly in response, lowering his arrow just slightly to make the human feel at ease, and enough to have a quick response should the human prove dangerous.

"Seriously a hamburger?! Well you eat it, but it's made by the use of muggle animals. Plus if you looked closely you'd see I was a Vampire and no I don't bite humans or live animals. I feed from the dying with their consent" I said as I casually swung my arms back and forth making sure to randomly stop with one hand on my dagger and the other on my invisable sword. If this person was to start a fight I wanted to be prepared, hell I wanted to finish it!

Harrigan was delighted. He ignored the girls attempts at defence, one arrow and she'd be down. However, his questions weren't sated just yet.
"Yes but are they eaten plain? What exactly is used to create this hamburger, which animal? Are they cooked? Why do humans seem so fixated on this dish? And a vampire, well, fancy that! Never met one myself, but I'm pleased to meet you! What's your name again, didn't catch it, and why are you in the forest befriending unicorns? And do all vampires feed on the dying, are the rumors and stories my herd tell wrong?" demanded Harrigan, his bow still in place in case the vampire got aggressive.

"So it is complicated, delightful, and I'll hold you to that promise. So, what are you doing here Vampire-who's-name-I-do-not-know? And why are you befriending unicorns? Is this a new fad for Vampires?" asked Harrigan, his black tale flickering lazily in the heat of the day.

"The names Lexie and outside this school there's a war going on. Or rather it's just in the starting stages. Humans against Creatures and I'm here to look after all those kids. They don't need to be involved, especially not after the last war we had. You remember don't you? The Voldemort War?

Voldemort War, of course, he'd heard the tales. He lowered his bow a bit more, feeling more at ease. This Lexie person seemed to be suggesting something of that level. However, this time directly involving the herd. Rodimus would need to be informed at once!
"Lexie, a pretty name for a pretty lady," he began with a grin, "A war you say? We heard the rumors, and the phoenix song, but we assumed it wasn't to be said. Alas, Mars was particularly bright last night. And it shows no signs of dimming. Is there no way to reach a peaceful accord? Humans are ever so fascinating, did you know they war for things other than territory? And they choose to exchange commodities for gold rather than tools. Perhaps it is time for us to lay claim to our land again. Of course, I will personally assist in defending the humans and their young. Foals are to be treasured."

Kei, after speaking to Lucinda, had decided to return to the herd and inform them of what she had learned. It wasn't long after though- that she heard two voice. She didn't try to listen, she didn't approve of eavesdropping, but she heard her name. Slowly she approached them and interuppted,
"I'm sorry to interrupt, but I heard my name...?"
