Is anyone will be watching the Olympics for the next 16 days?
Who and what sports are you interested in watching?

Might check out soccer, but I won't be looking for it specifically.

I'll probably tune in for the opening and closing ceremonies. As for sports, I'll probably watch some of the swimming, gymnastics, and diving. I'm also going to check some of the running as a girl from the college I'll be attending is on the running team for Guam. I don't know her personally, but I do want to watch her compete.

I'm not into sports but I do try to catch swimming and gymnastics. I don't care for the rest much but tennis is cool too.

I'll be tuning in when I can, but I am so watching the opening ceremony, along with the closing ceremony. I'll be watching the athletics, and some of the other sports, but definitely not the football.

I should think so, considering he was 14 at the last olympics and that's a bit...illegal.

14 year olds are allowed in the regular Olympics if they're good enough. It doesn't happen too often, but every so often, there are young teenagers.

I'd just like to point out that there was an inflatable voldemort. Britain should win all the awards just for that

That bit was by far one of the best bits, and not just the animatronic Voldy, but also the Child-catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Didn't see it, but is the news in anyone elses' area going on about the swimmer who chose not to walk in the opening ceremony because he has a race tomorrow and he wants to rest up? The news channel here in FL is making that dude out to be the new devil.

Lots of participants have not taken part in the opening ceremony. Half of the Great Britain Team is abroard at a training camp.

I know, and I think it's ridiculous. The dude made a good choice in my opinion, and newscasters here were just tearing him to shreds.

Archery Beach Volleyball Diving Fencing Gymnastics - Artistic Gymnastics - Rhythmic Hockey (mostly just looking in on USA games) Shooting Swimming Synchronized Swimming Table Tennis Tennis (mostly USA) Trampoline Volleyball Track and Field (Varies depending what happening) Water Polo Weightlifting (some not all)

I loved the ceremony, the one in Beijing might have been grandiose but it made it quite impersonal. Here we saw things that are much closer to us and that we know, be it that funny Voldy (my sis said that she thought it was Snape ) or David Beckham or that short film with the Queen. But still, my favourite part was the one with Rowan Atkinson, it was hilarious By the way, did reporters in any country comment those wellington boots the Czech party had on? They didn't here but still, I thought it was so humiliating -.-"

They did here in GB, wellies and brollies . They must of been expecting our traditional English summertime. Though to be fair a week earlier and they would have been the ones laughing. Oh well as the opening ceremony was dry I'd put my money on needing them at the closing ceremony.

I'm just gonna follow what's in the television. I'm not much into sport, but well... I may watch a couple of sports... Probably tennis or soccer (my brother's favorite sports). Gymnastics... I would love to watch that. I was a gymnast for five years (was terrible though).
