Personally I always was a little disappointed in McGonagall. Everyone seems not to have her reprimanded for the doorstep incident when she is just as guilty. Not to mention she tends to treat harry like he is his father. I mean James was a prankster so she automatically assumed Harry was triccking Maalfoy with the dragon. Not to mention 150 pts. for out at curfew. Not to mention she sent them out to the forest. The heir talk I was disappointed that she never stepped in when he was being called the attacker. Not to mention in GOF she defended Dumbledore's age line but not Harry's innocence. I love her character but to me she was just as guilty as Snape of seeing James instead of Harry in certain instances. So I think it would be awesome if these things were brought up.

With the exception of the doorstep incident, you've got a dang good point, melody.
The reason I say the doorstep incident is an exception is because she DID object, but Dumbledore overrode her ... and he's got a shiteton more power and influence than she does. She's just a teacher. He's Head Mugwump etc etc. If she'd tried to fight him, she'dve lost, big time, and if she'd snuck back to steal Harry ... yeah, that would have ended badly, for her. There really wasn't anything she could have done.

Not if she gave Harry to a wizarding family who lives in a totally different country.

Kidnapping across country lines? When Dumbledore is the head of the ICW (Wizarding version of the United Nations) ... REALLY bad idea. Besides ... what are the odds she knows anyone far enough away to get Harry out of Dumbles' reach?

Not to mention she's pretty loyal to Dumbledore anyways And she sees him on a daily basis and if he uses passive Legilimency on her and gets suspicious, she'd be outed before doing anything :S

Im not saying she had to kidnap him. what pisses me off is instead of acting like mature adults and ringing a doorbell they took the easy and dangerous way out and left him on a doorstep (when it was supposed to rain!). I love to see Dumbledore try to bring her to court for ringing a bell. He would have looked terrible for his intentions. Especially if it was found out that he did so that they wouldn't deny guardionship rights.

I'm sure SOMEBODY casted some spells for Harry's overnight stay on the porchsteps... but after? Also, I agree on the denial that the Dursleys would've issued forth.
And I don't think any of my concerns (mostly just one) will happen. This story still has a long way to go...

I love Minnie but I agree with you. I think with her its more being stretched thin with her teaching duties, head of house duties, and being the deputy headmistress it doesn't leave her much time to connect with her students.

Honestly I believe no head of house should have the right to be deputy. Seems a conflict of interest though atleast McGonagall doesn't really abuse it. I also dont think McGonagall would have as much work if Dumbledore didn't have three taxing jobs. Not to mention if there was more teachers for a subject so she didn't have to read around 700 essays a week. Honestly unless they have special Quills that was the only really unrealistic thing I found in JK work. No way would one teacher per subject have worked. sorry for the rant. lol
Though I really love the idea for this story and cant wait till we get to the line in GOF where Dumbledore had triumph in his eye when Harry recited what happened in the graveyard.

Sadly, that will be a while in coming. But Elizabeth will NOT be happy with the implications. Not at all.

It really is, because there is so much epic shit that happens that could have been avoided with a half a grain of common sense, nevermind obeying the law.

And that's why a story has so much appeal where someone like Elizabeth has the power to put the thumbscrews on Fudge and his lackeys, and on Dumbledore, too! Would never have thought of that myself, but I like the idea so much. The possibilities have me nearly drooling already.

the only downside being a thread like this and not a separate thingymabob..
the good thing is that it's combining my life together. HP and the Royals

Just had another thought. Seeing who some of the readers are, wouldn't the question of legal paperwork for Harry come up? Don't Petunia and Vernon need some proof that they are Harry's legal guardians? It certainly never sounded as if Dumbledore put the birth certificate or anything beyond that letter in with the baby.

Magicals would probably not worry about that, but Muggles would think differently, I believe. And seeing that the Queen and PM are there, and someone from Child Service, I just thought they might consider such a problem.

Muggles would definitely care about, especially the muggles reading in this fic. Don't know whather they'll say anything about it or not. I guess that's up to sherza.

Indeed, it's up to Sherza. It was just a suggestion of what seems a logical question to me in this particular setting. Ah well, in any case, I want another update! Knowing what the next chapter contains, it is promising to be so much fun.

Yay! The next chapter! I really love the idea for this story. Seeing everyone get what they deserve, from the queen no less. Reading over the posts, I was all kinds of happy to see you say Snape would stay. I've always loved Snape, he's my favorite character, even if he is a baised jerk. Can't wait for the reactions to the next chapter.

Miss Wings: Well at this point it could be separated by admin, but it would be multi-step'd in order to pull off... Be like a 4 step process and need to be an advanced user of the site, meaning know the in's and out's of it and how to use it's functions.

To make things easier, before I post each chapter, I'll post with links to all the previous chapters (since each chapter takes up all or almost all of the space available for comments). I've also put a link for chapter one at the end of the prologue.

Be like a 4 step process and need to be an advanced user of the site, meaning know the in's and out's of it and how to use it's functions. Take it back it only needs one move lol. Point Given would need to use the Move Posts function and select each post to be moved, then select the board want the thread in or if one already created, in this case click new thread and name it Queen & Dursleys Read Reviews, then press the submit button and tada all done. You would then have this thread free for just the story. Or move the Story and keep the reviews here., Might be easier that way. You can make a new thread named the same as this, move your story posts to it, then rename this one for reviews
