i actually screamed when i read the epilogue. it was rather funny actually. i was in school and finished the first book within a day and when i saw that harry did get together with ginny it was as though a banshee had been let loose..

I never really could see Harry with Ginny. I don't know why.

It's funny, I liked the epilogue fine until I read fanfictiona and discovered Slash. I actually still don't mind the epilogue, though it would have been nice to see what the other New Gen kids were like.

I love slash, but I will read het, and the pairing doesn't really bother me. There are some Harry/Ginny stories that are quite good, but that isn't one of my favourite pairings.

And fun to read ... shame on JKR for cheating us out of it No, I don't think it says anything. The book didn't make it clear what exactly happened, as far as I can tell. Like with all the others who fell and we don't know if they just went down for a moment, were stunned or died. That battle description was so vague in that regard, and the last chapter to tie up these loose threads didn't happen. has found something of this, posted it in a new post about hp facts..

The first time I read the epilogue it scared me. I made the mistake of flipping towards it right after reading that Voldemort sent the killing curse at Harry. I scanned through the epilogue real quick and read something about Albus, James, Lily, Harry, and Ginny and freaked out, because I though I was reading about their afterlife. That might have been because I'd been reading the darn book since 1pm and it was then 2 in the morning. But since then, I've stopped skipping ahead in books to make sure people don't die.

I never skip ahead in books, except in Eragon, but that's only to get to the language section and I've not turned far enough and ended up reading a couple passages on that page before realising what I was doing and going to the translations.

i've always held the belief that if you read the last page of a book then you know that it's a good one. can't remember where i heard that little tip..

The only times I skip ahead are when I'm reading a book that has a glossary at the end, or a language section, or when I've already read the book and am searching for a particular quote.

I find that when I reread things I notice little easter eggs I missed before. . . . I've come to reread a lot of books.

I was thrilled when I realised she'd mentioned Sirius in the first chapter of the first book. I love little things like that. Nobody would realise it unless they re-read it.

Re-reading books does give you a lot of foreshadowing that you didn't notice the first time. The majority of my favourite books I've read time and time again, each time discovering something new about them.

That's why I'm going to read J.K's new book extra slowly to make sure I take every little detail in.

I read her books at least seven times and I still don't think I've read everything.

I've read those books so much they've fallen apart, and I've had to staple the pages in small sections, just to keep them together. It's disappointing that they aren't still in one piece, but it is a lot easier to deal with just holding a small pile when trying to make sure that I've got everything exactly as she wrote it in my RtBs.
