I have read those books quite a few times, and I do not recall anyone ever saying 'rainbow sparkles'. If it's in there, it's probably one of the werewolves making fun of the vampires. And she admits that they aren't werewolves- they are shapeshifters. It's in the fourth book.

In relation to what Sherxa said I agree that Rainbow sparkles belong to cute childrens books and unicorns, Glisten like diamonds in the midday sun or something like that would have been more appropriate but it is her world so who am i to complaine. You are correct with the fact the are not werewolves (Cute fluffy puppy) and the vampieres are not the stuff of legend again these are some of the reasons why i have not read the books since getting to the end of the last one.

But she constantly calls them werewolves, even from their own point of view (when they'd know better than to call themselves such).
And unless you've memorized the lot, if it's in there only three times, you probably just don't remember it. And given that *Bella* is the one given to over-the-top, gooey descriptions of Edward, I'm betting it was her that said or thought the phrase.

I grew up reading Harry Potter. I started the series when I was 8, and it was my favorite book until I read the Twilight series. The only reason I like Twilight more is because I like to read romance novels. But I can admit SM isn't that great of a writer. I like the twilight fanfiction better. Twilight fanfiction is more real, and the characters don't have anything supernatural about them in the ones I read. Humans are better then vamps. I will admit I hate vampies.

Haha. My favorite characters in cannon Twilight aren't Edward and Bella. Mine is Alice. I admit I can't stand Bella. She is an ungrateful whiny brat. And I mean getting that upset over a guy leaving. Get over yourself.
My problem with Edward is his controlling nature. I would never be with someone like him. I would like to be with the personality with Jacob before he was a wolf. And I could see myself with someone like Emmett or the twins.

My problem with Edward is his controlling nature. Controlling nature my ass. He's a straight-up stalker. He took parts out of her engine to keep her from going somewhere he didn't like!

When it comes to the Cannon Characters in Twilight I hate Bella -Miss I can't go on without my Edward, *Shiver" what are we in the 1920- I think that Edward needs to stop being a Martyr, I am leaving you becaues my brother attacked at the sight of blood, What do you expect you are all blood drinking ceatuers.
My Favorite character would have to be Carlisle because of how human he is and how hard he worked to be able to have the life he has got.

He was a stalker too. I would've been freaked out by him in real life. But unlike Bella I would stand up for myself, maybe hit him, and curse him out.

How it's creepy? I never saw anything wrong with Jacob/Renesmee, it's not like he thinks of her romantically at this point. He may not think of her romantically at that point but he IS intending it to be in the future, just as Quil was when he imprinted on a TWO year old, plain old human who ages normally. Imprinting is just creepy and possesive. The wolves say that the imprints have a choice but when Emily wanted nothing to do with Sam she ended up having half her face slashed off by him when he lost his temper. Then when Jacob imprinted an Renesmee he told her PARENTS that he could share like he had co-ownership of her. Then when thay wanted to leave so they could find out about other half-vampires to protect her, he tells Charlie (breaking both the treaty and vampire law) to keep them in the country. He did this despite claiming that werewolves would do anything to protect their imprint, surely finding out about Renesmee's health is more important than his own need.

The whole imprinting thing, and especially on a toddler is something I'm not ok with. It's disturbing, but if they met later in life and realized they are supposed to be together I would be more understanding. Edward and Bella should've put their foot down with Jacob. I still don't feel comfortable with that much of an age difference. More then two years is a little bit of a push to me.

I've got nothing against a large age difference as long as they're both consenting adults. The imprinting in Twilight sounds a lot like grooming to me. Besides as for it not being creepy the only proof they have is on the say so of a bunch of adolescent boys, not to mention Jacob had proved previously capable of controlling his thoughts around Edward.

The whole Imprint thing is rather creepy and i have no problem with large age differences but the idea of seeing someone as your brother when your young then sudenly you wake up one day and say 'i am in love' just seems wrong to me. Also the people who are imprinted on have no choice about who they love in later life, it is decided for them before they can talk.

Exactly, do they really think that after years of waiting Jacob and Quil are just going to turn around and be happy if they choose someone else no matter what they say about it being the imprints choice.

Also isn't it a bit strange that the wolves exist to fight Vampires yet Jacob imprints on a half vampire shouldn't she be the enemey too.

I will agree with you all on the Renesmee/Jacob thing. Claire I am more accepting of because Quil is a good guy, and Claire's not half vampire. Jacob was an idiot who couldn't step back and let Edward and Bella be parents, then he went and hurt Bella by bringing Charlie into the mix (Which endangered his life). I mean, he could have always left with them. Anyways, it doens't make sense that he would imprint on a half-vampire if imprinting is something that pairs you up with the person most likely to carry on the werewolf gene (Of course that was a theory...) I just don't think it's creepy like all of you do.

Quil is a good person and i do to some degree think that if Claire fell in love with someone else he would step back and become her best friend.
Jacob on the other and tried to get Bella away from edward and she was not his imprint, so what is he going to do if Renesmee fell for someone else. If myers waanted to set Renesmee up as an imprint then i think seth would be a better option, he is younger, nicer and is actualy liked by the cullens minus rose

Yes, Agreed. I never liked Jacob, I felt he would have raped Bella out of spite and anger eventually, had Bella not become a vampire/mother.... Honestly, he assaulted her two time through out the books. It really annoyed me, and I wish he had died in the fight against the newborns. Would've made me much happier.

I don't like Jacob or Edward they are two different kinds of controlling and manipulative. Jacob would have Never let Bella out of his sight if they got together and he constantly did a smacked puppy look whenever he wanted his own way Edward on the other hand controlled her by making sure she could not really do anything without his say so, like removing the parts from her car, he also manipulated her into being more dependent on him by leaving her, sometimes i think mike would have been a better option.

Don't get me started on Jacob. Too late, I am.
His character development was so WTF! Seriously, he goes from shy and awkward dork who's adorable and you feel bad for because Bella's completely using him, to manipulative asshole who suddenly knows all about Bella's feelings and girls in general. I can't say he's the better option, but at least he's funny. Edward had like, no humor. Though, Jacob has anger issues, serious anger issues. Which came out of no where with the entire wolf thing. The wolf completely changed his personality, and Seth remained bubbly and friendly. I liked Seth, he was at least a good person and stuck by his values. Jacob was always changing into more annoying personalities. From geeky dork, to aggressive asshole, to parent/boyfriend to his ex-girfriend's baby.

Edward's issues stemmed from self-hatred and fear, where as Jacob was arrogant, possessive and manipulative. Out of the two of them I would go for Edward. He has no sense of self-worth believing he had destroyed his soul and was terrified of Bella getting hurt (either by himself or someone/thing else), both of these would be helped simply by time and love. A little counseling wouldn't go amiss either.
Jacob on the other hand, choosing him would only fuel his arrogance, prove to him you are his possession and place you completely in his power. Once he had you he'd never let you go.

Lol... I liked Twilight in the beginning (Was a thirteen-fourteen year old girl, who was into that). My friends liked it, and yeah... Then I started to dislike it, when I read it again, and noticed several things. The first time I just rushed through the books.
Charlie was only supportive of Jacob, since it was hist best friend's son. I mean... It would be the ideal picture for Charlie and Billy, that their children started to date. I hated that, when he supported Jacob first, when Bella broke her hand, when Jacob kissed her. He was just "Nice!" I was really WTF?
And the fact, that Jacob 'named' Renesmee was creepy. I get it, people get nicknames and all that, but... Bella had decided that her daughter's name was Renesmee, and then Jacob goes to call her Nessie. Was annoyed when Bella gave in and started to call her Nessie too. But well, she's a flat, boring and annoying character. I hate imprinting ... The only normal imprint were Jared and Kim. Sam slashes Emily's face, when she rejects him, and then Emily just gives in, when she sees how 'hurt' Sam is. Then she is home-maker for the wolves... Pfth. Doesn't she has any standards?
And don't make me talk about Quill/Claire and Jacob/Renesmee..

Another thing that truly pissed me off was the treatment of Leah. First her boyfriend dumps her for her cousin, then her Dad dies and she becomes a wolf. Add to this she is then subjected to Sam's thoughts about Emily, and her cycles stop so she can no longer have children. To top it all off Emily then has the gall to ask Leah to be a BRIDESMAID in her wedding and people call her an insestive bitch.
I seriously want to know what the F is wrong with the Quellutes I swear their all unhinged.
