Oh yes. The treatment of Leah pissed me off too. Edward even had the gall to say that Leah hurt the others too, by thinking about that no one knew who Embry's father was. Alright that's perhaps hurting, but they keep adding alt in her wound. She was happy with Sam.. Then he leaves her, and she worries about him for weeks, and then he returns and refuses to speak about where he's ben, and leaves her again, this time for her cousin.Leah probably believed that she would marry Sam, and then she ends as the bridesmaid.

Well, I agree about bashing them without reading them... that exactly the type of things that make some twihards look like idiots when they're insulting Harry Potter (the whole Sirius Black being a werewolf thing... wow)I think that you should read a book to judge it, but I've also read all four of the books (not including The Host) and I think it's pretty bad.. At first it was okay, but then... well I dislike the messages that it gives you... 1. Rose is shown to be strong, but also "beautiful" and she was made into a vampire because some idiotic guy that was supposed to be her boyfriend practically tortured her, and before she was a vampire (and after too) her flaw is vanity. How come Edward or Emmet doesn't have vanity, but it's a girl? 2. Why are vampires practically perfect humans? They really don't have a flaw; beautiful, smart, immortal, powerful, compassionate... and to make the Cullens more perfect, they don't drink human blood... 3. I don't like how the books just talk about top collages and universities accepting bribes... I'm a Korean, and we're obsessed with grades and futures and all that stuff it's like killing me... and I don't like how some people do get away with bribes when others work hard in real life, and it's being casually talked about in books. 4. That Bella becomes a vampire... so, to be with her boyfriend she has to change herself? She's not good enough? Being human isn't good enough? That annoys me, the whole saga practically hints that humans are weak creatures, and that life wasn't worth living unless you're practically perfect. There are a lot more objections I have, but it's really late, so, bye! (feel free to point out flaws in my points...)

1. Because of the time period and life style she had, I would think. Her parents raised her to be vain really- giving her pretty dresses and flaunting about her beauty to raise their status in life.
2. It's so they can draw in their victims, And it's kind of hard to be dumb when you have an infinite memory, and unlimited time.
3.They only reason they did bribes was because Edward was avoiding turning Bella into a vampire, an all the deadlines had been missed. I'm pretty sure she had the necessary grades.
4. Well... She's going to die and leave them at some point, if she wants to be with them forever- she has to be a vampire. Edwards was all for leaving her human.

I do understand why Rosalie is vain, as a human her only worth to her parents was her beauty. It's not suprising that she prizes them, it was what she was taught was most important. She equates her beauty with love.

"For Bella, we can break the law" and stuff, a lot of people don't get into great universities when they have the necessary grades; timing, money problems, etc... and why do vampires have to have infinite memory? She didn't have to put that in there, and I'm pretty sure that in book 4, Bella thought something like, "My vampire mind had no trouble with the math." so her brain was automatically better as a vampire? How fair is that? That had nothing to do with memory and experience, she was a newborn. Her brain just got a lot better as a vampire. (She was terrible in calculus, even though good in biology and literature, so...)

As this is a site dedicated to RtB I would like to suggest one for all the people who hated NM onwards. It's by 2brown-eyes and is called Will Things Change?. The best thing about this fic is that it includes NO actual text from the novel's only the responses. This way you can enjoy reading them deal with everything you hate without having to read any of the novels. No love triangle and as the wolves read books 1-3 there is also no creepy imprinting on children, Jacob also gets punished for his actions in Eclipse. Unfortunately it does include half-vamp children but only for a few chapters at the end. www.fanfiction.net/s/6646963/1/Will_things_Change

I have read those books quite a few times, and I do not recall anyone ever saying 'rainbow sparkles'. If it's in there, it's probably one of the werewolves making fun of the vampires. And she admits that they aren't werewolves- they are shapeshifters. It's in the fourth book. "As I watched, a pair of pale women in summer dresses paused in a patch of light, and, like prisms, their skin threw the light in rainbow sparkles against the sienna walls. " (New Moon, Chapter 21) This is thought by Bella and it's not a joke. (that line is simply disturbing, rainbow sparkling vampires, these vampires are part of the volturi, evil vampires who sparkle like rainbows )

I think she's trying to be poetic but it comes across sounding like a thirteen year old.

Why does she use so many adjectives?! It's not necessary!

Hah. I considered to buy a book in the bookshop today... Put it back, when I saw Stephanie Meyer's name. She just recommended it, but it surely didn't make me buy the book.

Honestly, she recommends any best-seller. She recommended the Hunger Games.

I know... Liked the Hunger Games. Read it for a few years ago. Remember waiting for the third book. Hunger Games's popularity now, reminds me slightly about, when Twilight was made to movie, and suddenly almost everyone were fans.
I just think it's annoying to see her name on the books.

I don't like the fans of the hunger games at all. It's supposed to be deeper than just buying Capitol nail polish. They seem to make it so, phony.

When a series of books becomes the new teenage crush it makes me want to run a mile. They usually aren't worth the hype and only appeal to so many because they require little to no thought to understand. No suprises and the drama plot points are cliche and written from the mindset of a fourteen year old drama queen.
If they somehow manage to latch onto a decent one, the fangirls destroy it with squeels about how hot the male characters are and how pretty/ugly the girls are.
In all honesty if they tried to latch onto my books I'd rather pull them from the shelves then let them get their claws into my creation.

Im obsessed with the hunger games but I stated just after the first book came out. Same with the first twilight book- I used to be part of a local award where you read the books and awarded a prize to your favourite. it annoys me that everyone is suddenly obsessed with the hunger games. Not that they love the books themselves, but how you can't be a proper fan anymore without the mockingjay pin or the nail polish. It has a pretty deep meaning to it, and people make it so superficial.

I enjoyed the Hunger Games, and thought it was a good read, but I'm not crazy over it. I've had some interesting discussions about it with friends, but that's as much as I've gotten into it.

That's exactly what I mean. The Hunger Games was all about how culturally speaking, first worlds like the Capitol are exploiting third world countries, and about how the Capitol's superficiality was so pointless in comparison to the districts. And then fan girls take that kind of book, and start making it into a cult thing where it's the hot actors, the pins, and the nail-polish that matter. I just want to throttle some of them.

I think it's a symptom of "shudders" Beiber Fever . A sustained high fever can cause brain damage. The only cure would be to remove him as soon as possible from public life for the sake of the younger generation.

J. K Rowling is so much better. Even Robert Pattinson was quoted saying these things about Twilight;
I read the book and was like “Well this is really dumb, I’ll never ever… This is so pointless going up for the role.”
“When you read the book,” says Pattinson, … “it’s like, ‘Edward Cullen was so beautiful I creamed myself.’ I mean, every line is liked that. He’s the most ridiculous person who’s so amazing at everything. I think a lot of actors tried to play that aspect. I just couldn’t do that. And the more I read the script, the more I hated this guy, so that’s how I played him, as a manic-depressive who hates himself. Plus, he’s a 108 year-old virgin so he’s obviously got some issues there.”
"You always get weirdos like Edward who seem to attract women for some reason. If Edward wasn't a fictional character and you met him in reality, he is like one of those guys who would probably be an axe murderer or something."

Pattinson also said;
"When I read it I was convinced Stephenie was convinced she was Bella and it was like it was a book that wasn't supposed to be published. It was like reading her sexual fantasy, especially when she said it was based on a dream and it was like, 'Oh I've had this dream about this really sexy guy,' and she just writes this book about it. Like some things about Edward are so specific, I was just convinced, like, 'This woman is mad. She's completely mad and she's in love with her own fictional creation.' And sometimes you would feel uncomfortable reading this thing."
Even he sees how bad it is, and he is the one playing the main character in the films.

See, the second quote is my entire feeling on that series. She published her wet dreams.
Does anyone find it funny that Kristen Stewart cheated on him? When I heard that, I scoffed. How real is that relationship anymore?
