"Muggle land animals?" Rhea repeated, a bit bemused. "He really is odd. While they are probably interesting, I doubt I could entertain myself with them for long when all of the magical animals are so much more interesting."

"That they are." Lucinda agreed placidly. "I met a majority of them on my own travels. Have you ever talked with a gnome? They're really sweet creatures, though a bit goofy."

Rhea shook her head. While she knew a great deal about other animals due to her job at the bookstore and her years at hogwarts, she hadn't met many of them. "They sound like peculiar little people."

Lucinda trilled a chuckle, and yawned a little. Today's events were starting to catch up with her. "Oh, they are! One of them - a little girl - used to follow me everywhere and call me 'Pretty bird'. And they like making cats chase them."

"Pretty bird? Maybe they had a crush on you." Rhea suggested with a teasing smile. "I guess they enjoy teasing the cats. Poor felines, thinking they've finally got one."

Lucinda laughed. "Who knows? I was with them for almost an entire year, and they're still confusing." Her amusement died for a moment, when she remembered why she had been there in the first place, but rid herself of that. No, she didn't need to dwell. "You know, it's fun to travel and see the world. One day, when this is all over, I'd like for us to do it. What do you think?"

"I'd like that." Rhea replied, liking the idea. No danger, no worry of battle. Just traveling with Lucinda and having a good time, learning about the world.

Lucinda was positively glowing. She could foresee how wonderful those days would be. She'd still be tied to magical creatures, but it would be fun this time. She'd show Rhea the gnomes and the pixies... and they could take Eolande. She'd enjoy seeing the water nymphs and the hydrocampi... "Then that's what we'll do one day." she nuzzled Rhea affectionately.

Rhea nodded in return, smiling as the phoenix seemed so happy. "I can't wait," Rhea replied, glad that they had seemed to moved on from her episode with the dementor. Rhea looked around at all the creatures that were there as well. "I wonder how long we're going to be here."

"To be honest, I'm not sure. Kei said that she has visions of the near future, but that is so vague." she shivered at the thought of staying here. As long as she didn't look at the white, she was fine, but.. "Well, we're going to have to find a way to get along with the dementors, that's for sure. I'll strike a deal with them tomorrow, so that what happened to you doesn't happen again. And if they don't listen, we'll have to pull out." She felt the vow stir uncomfortably in her. "There is no point in fighting for creatures who only want to kill us."

Quite agreeable with Lucinda, Rhea also didn't like the idea of being here long. What if another Dementor found their way to her? However, Lucinda's next words definitely helped with that worry, after all, she doubted that the dementors would care nearly as much about getting to the other creatures. It would only be a matter of deterring them for her, or she hoped. "Well... it seems that I'm the closest thing to a 'human' soul here so at least we know that they aren't going to be raging for any other souls. It'll be easier to keep them away and avoid any more... incidents."

Lucinda's eyes narrowed. "I'm not letting them near you." An intense surge of protectiveness went through her, filling her with renewed life. Her immortal flame glowed within her, turning her eyes gold for a moment. Unbeknownst to her, another vow had just been made.

"I know you won't." Rhea replied, her smile flickering as she glanced at Lucinda. Lucinda was worrying about Rhea again, and Rhea didn't see that as something to be pleasing as she had before in the forest. In her glance, she saw the bird's normally comforting black eyes flicker to gold.
"What was that?" She asked curiously, hoping for another distraction and she was angry at herself for bringing up the Dementors again.

Lucinda hadn't noticed? "Oh... Maybe it was just me, but it looked like your eyes turned gold for a moment there. But they're normal now, so I guess it was a just a trick of the light."

Lucinda frowned. She rarely - if ever - saw her own eyes. But, she did know what that meant. "It seems that I've made another vow." she replied reluctantly. Why had she done that? She hadn't done that for anyone, not even her old master... "I didn't realize I made one, but your protection has become even more important than it already was."

Damnit! There went any possibility of stopping the bird from worrying about Rhea. "O-Oh." Was all she could say, surprise and confusion showing on her face, with anger at herself just beneath the surface.

"Thank you." Rhea replied in a soft voice, a blush creeping into her cheeks. "It's... nice to have someone so concerned for me." While Rhea was still determined to keep Lucinda from worrying, and she was angry at herself for making Lucinda worry, part of her still was pleased by it.

Fawkes, having finished his flashing, flew around for a moment, surveying the area. It was very desolate and cold. He'd gone to azkaban a few times with Albus, and he'd never liked it. The Dementors always managed to make him feel cold and sad, despite any attempts on his end to warm himself and Albus up. (Albus in particular was greatly affected by Dementors.) Ignoring such feelings, Fawkes soon located Rhea and Lucinda, so he flew on over to them
"Hello folks, how have you two been faring, have I missed much?"

Rhea was about to answer when Fawkes came about. She gave him a welcoming smile as she replied to him, "Not much..." Well, actually very much, but Rhea didn't want to go into it, "Me and Lucinda were actually just about to go and have breakfast."

Kohl looked around the wintery, cold place. She felt an eery chill go up her spine, and the memory of pincers seemed to linger in her mind. Afraid, she moved closer to Jei, and looked at the barren ice scene.
"This place is scary," she whispered to him.

Fawkes and Rhea promptly followed Lucinda on her way to the food. The werewolf got there and bent down inspecting the supplies that had been brought. She quickly found a nice peach that she picked up. Better eat it before it went bad. "Remind me to put a preserving spell on the food. No sense in letting it rot if not eaten quickly enough."

"Will do!" Lucinda said cheerfully, searching. She found three whole pouches of her Sweet Reds, and took two for herself. She then gave the other one to Rhea, and attacked her pouch without mercy.

Agora drained her doe slowly, savoring it's internal juices. Right now, she felt as though she felt rather contented. Things could only get better from here.

Rhea accepted the pouch, and laughed at the way Lucinda attacked her own. It was an odd sight, seeing the phoenix poke at the bag like that.

Fawkes rummaged around and found a few nuts that he'd like, along with something he'd brought along himself- a Lemon Drop.
