When the huge spider didn't let go over Kohl, Jei attempted to rear up and kick the legs that held the other unicorn. Adrenaline was pumping through the young stallion as he was furious at the monster threatening Kohl like that.

Agora shot a web at one of the unicorns, which missed by a mere centimeter. "You will pay for hurting me, you brats!" she screamed.

Kohl shrieked, the pincers holding her tightly. She continued kicking wildly, screaming random nonsense words for help. Her mind was only focused on one thing, was this how her parents had felt?

"I'm going to drain your innards, dearie." she said nastily. "And your little friend's too!"

His main goal, was to free Kohl. As the kicking had royally failed, Jei now pounded back to the ground from his rear and threw his head forward to try and pierce one of the the spider's legs with his horn.

Kohl could feel the spider's grip loosening, and heard another unicorn-Jei, trying to hit the-thing. More focused now, and determined at least Jei make it out alive, she began aiming her kicks, and trying to hit the Acromantula on the head, if only her hooves could reach.

Agora let out a low, gutteral sound, as the unicorn's horn stabbed one of her legs. In a fit of rage, she threw the unicorn in her grasp on the ground, and made way toward him. "I'll kill you first, boy."

Kohl was a quivering puddle on the ground once Agora let her go. She wanted to run as fast as she could and never turn back. But Agora's threat about Jei caught her, and she stood up, still feeling shaky. She lowered her head, her horn aimed, and began pawing the ground, waiting for herself to steady before attacking.

Once Kohl was released, Jei noticed her seeming to go into an offensive position. "No!" He hissed angrily, "Get out of here!" While Jei may have otherwise taken on the acromantula despite his probable loss, Kohl presence kept him form getting to caught up in this. He glared at the spider, prepared to stab it again if need be.

Angered, Agora charged at the boy - the one who stabbed her leg. She decided that she would preserve his body in the ice and give it to her children to eat when they returned home.

As Agora charged, Kohl ran into her, stabbing her with her horn. Then she ran back quickly.
"Not without you!" she called out to Jei.

Aggravated, Jei decided that if he needed to escape as well to get Kohl out of here, that's what he'd do. "I'll be write behind you. Just Go!"

Agora ensnared the boy in one of her webs and pulled him closer to her. "Don't worry, you won't even feel my venom as it flows through you." She said in a sinister, yet silky voice.

Before Jei could get out of the way, he found himself in a web. He screamed and kicked, trying to use his horn to get out. "Let me go you horrible monster!"

Kohl panicked, and did the only thing she could think off, she jumped onto the spidress. She landed on top of the spider's large body, and began flailing and kicking, trying not to slip and be crushed.

"GET OFF ME!" Agora screamed, accidentally releasing the prey her web held. The unicorn landed on the ground with a loud thud. She moved to throw the unicorn off of her, and took a moment to recover. Oh, she would make them pay...

Kohl winced as she landed on her fore-ankle. It was definitely twisted. She stumbled to get up, and stared weakly at the spider. She got to her legs however. She wasn't going to go down quietly!

The moment Jei was released, he scrambled to his feet and went over to stand partly in front of Kohl, "We have to get out of here!" He repeated to her, hoping she would just turn and flee.

Lucinda felt a large tug at her vow. "Guys, there's trouble!" she cried at once, flying into the sky. Half expecting to see a dementor, she was angered when it turned out to be the unicorn foals versus Agora. At one she swooped in, singing an attack at the acromantula.
Rip! Attack! Hurt!
The acromantula backed off, letting out a cry of pain as she did so.

Kohl looked up to see the phoenix from the funeral coming to their rescue. She leaned onto Jei, her ankle hurting, as the Acromantula backed down.
"A-Are we s-safe now?" she stammered to Jei, her eyes wide.

Jei put his own weight on his other side so that he could help Kohl stand. He tried to be comforting by nuzzling her. "Y-Yeah... let's just walk away. Back around the corner, okay?"

"How dare you, bird?" Agora seethed. "Those little monsters woke me up from my nap, and one of them stepped on my eye!"
Lucinda glared coldly at her. "They didn't mean to, I'm sure. They're just children, after all! You're an adult, and should act more like one!" She sang a scathing tune at the spider. "And if I catch you trying to hurt them one more time, you're going back to the forest! Is that understood?"
Agora made an irate clicking noise. "You can't do that!"
"Try me." Lucinda replied angrily. In truth, she knew that she couldn't handle flashing again, but she would do it anyway, if it meant keeping the foals safe. The two stared each other down for a while, before Agora finally gave in.
"Fine, but you'd better keep those brats away from me." And with that, she sulked off.

Kohl let Jei nuzzle her, as she realized she was shaking.
"I think my ankle's twisted," whispered Kohl, "I-I need help walkinh. C-Can we just go?"

Jei nodded, "Alright, let's just go slowly." Then he looked up at Lucinda and said in a relieved tone, "Thank you... We're sorry for causing trouble with the spider."

Lucinda flew down to the foals. "You're welcome. Are the two of you alright?" she asked, concerned.

Glancing over at Kohl, Jei replied hesitantly, "Mostly just freaked out... But we think Kohl's hurt her ankle."

"Twisted my ankle," said Kohl, still shivering from fear, as she buried her head closer to Jei to try and wipe out the scary memories, the feel of the pincers. She almost wanted to cry, and could feel the tears welling up. It was all too familiar, and if the phoenix hadn't interfered, or she'd ran away... Jei could have gone the same way as her parents.

Wearily, Lucinda landed on the ground, beside Kohl's hurt ankle. "In that case, just hold still." And with that, she thought of the saddest thing she could, and released three tear drops. She then crooned a comforting song, though her thorat was starting to get sore. "There you go, Kohl. Good as new." She yawned. "I'm just glad you two are alright."

Kohl felt the pain in her ankle disappear, but she couldn't stop the pain in her heart, or the fear in her veins. She kept herself leaning on Jei, and said a muffled thsnk you. She was just so exhausted, and she wanted to cry somewhere by herself.

Jei also nodded his thank you, "Ah...Lucinda, me and Kohl are going to go... I think she'd should probably just get away from here..." He then then slowly moved in the direction the had come. The treasure at the end of the bloodstained path was not one he wanted to linger around.
