Lucinda could see that Kohl was upset, but didn't know what else to do. She didn't know the young unicorn that well... "Jei, please escort her back to Kei?" she asked, in a hoarse whisper. That last cutting song had taken it's toll. "She looks like she needs some rest."

Jei nodded back toward the phoenix... yeah, maybe his mother would be better at this sort of thing. "I'll do that." He agreed.

Kohl was barely listening to the conversation anymore. She just stick to Jei. She'd had enough excitement for the day.

With a relived trill, Lucinda forced herself back in the air, thinking of how nice it would be to collapse soon. She made it back to Rhea and Fawkes, and managed to avoid crashing. Stumbling, she hopped up on Rhea's lap, where it would be safe to rest.

Rhea looked up as Lucinda appeared once more, and raised an eyebrow as the bird seemed exhausted. The werewolf eyed her for a second before asking, "Anything to horrible?"

Fawkes was also burning with curiosity as to what happened, but he let Rhea do the talking.

Once Lucinda had left, Jei began to lead Kohl away, and to find his mother. It was getting late and Kei would probably want them with her.

"Stupid spider..." Rhea muttered, her opinion of Agora was not very kind after her first meeting, and this instance definitely didn't help matters. "Well, you seem tired. Don't mind me, just take a well earned sleep."

Rhea nodded quietly, still nibbling at her peach. She looked up to see that Fawkes had flew a few feet in the air. "I'm going to go and make sure no one kills anyone." He said, Rhea nodded and he took off.

As they stumbled away, Kohl felt her nerves give out, and she began to feel the tears slipping out of her eyes. Her body was trembling, and she began sobbing into Jei's mane. She'd only been that terrified once, and to relive it...

Jei had absolutely no idea what to do. Xie had been a crier, and Jei remembered when she had started bawling over their grandmother's dead. But Kei had always been the comforter, Jei was the one to take her mind off of it and play around. Awkwardly, Jei let Kohl cry and tried to offer some words of comfort, "We're alright... She's gone now..."

"I was s-s-scared," she sobbed, "Y-You'd be ea-eaten t-t-too!"
As she sobbed, she let her knees give way, and settled onto the ground. She was still sobbing hard, but she didn't want to move. Her entire body was wracked with sobs.

Jei followed Kohl to the ground and nuzzled her. "Silly, you think I could be eaten? I don't think I taste very good."

Kohl nuzzled Jei back, feeling safe in his comfort. Her tears leaked to the ground as she met his warm eyes. Her sobs were slowing down, as she nuzzled Jei.
"Still feel her p-p-pincers," she whispered, "Over me, l-like l-l-last time."

Jei's eyes narrowed, Last time? Had she met the spiders before? Wait... Was she there when her parents had been attacked? A bit horrified at such a prospect, he asked softly, "What do you mean, Last time?"

Kei was very worried by now. She'd been looking for Kohl and Jei for awhile, and hadn't been successful as of yet. Where were they?

Kohl was trembling again. This entire day had been just so horrible. Telling Jei before had seemed so difficult, but now, it just poured out. All Kohl could think of was what would have happened if she'd ran today, or if Lucinda hadn't helped. The familiar feel of those creepy legs made her shudder and feel dirty all over again. Violated.

Jei decided he liked Kohl's parents. They had at least gotten her away. "Then they knew that they'd rather you got away then they did. At least you know they got what they would have wanted... Maybe they're up there with Xie, having a merry ol' time."

She couldn't help but choke out a laugh at Jei's stab at cheering her up. She felt herself calming down. She met his eyes, her own still watery, and brought her bose to his to nuzzle him.
"Your so stupid," she said with a sigh, her tears drying. "Thank you."
Then she licked his cheek affectionately.

Jei probably would have given an embarrassed grin had he been a human. Instead, his ears kind of twitched as she licked his cheek. "It's no problem." He said awkwardly.

"We should find your mum," she said, feeling awkward and shy, "Sorry about all that."
She looked down at her feet. Had she been human, she'd have blushed, but all she could was glance up at Kohl through her eyelashes, and then down at the ground again.

Jei nodded and began to get up to his feet. "Yeah... She's probably having a cow with worry as to what happened to us. Hasn't seen us all day!" He was very uncomfortable. Ugh. Girls, why were they so confusing?

She'd never felt so embarrassed. Why had she licked Jei's cheek? It was just a simple friendly gesture, a thank-you. He was just her very close friend, who was like an older brother, who saved her.

Kei had finally picked up Jei's scent. Quickly, she'd pinpointed it and was now approaching the two unicorns. She gave them an odd look as she dashed over and fretted, "Where have you two been? Are you alright? Did Acid transport you alright?"

"We were transported just fine," said Kohl pleasantly, though she still was refusing to look in Jei's direction. "We er, couldn't find you and went off for a bit..."
She trailed off, and involuntarily shuddered at the memory. She wanted to wash herself clean, almost feeling the pincers again. She bit her teeth, and looked at Jei for help, before darting her eyes away in embarrassment at what happened earlier.

Acid was worried, they'd been in place for battle for a few days now and nothing had yet to happen. Was this just an excuse to get them away from the forest in order to kill all remaining creatures?

Lucinda awoke bright and early the next morning, having barely slept because of her nightmares. The whole evening, she kept dreaming of white and cold and snow. Bleak, ugly white. And her ex-master's chilling words echoed throughout it all.
Not wanting to wake up Fawkes or Rhea, she quietly flew off, searching for someone to talk with. After a while, she came across Acidious. "Good morning." she said placidly. "How are you doing?"

Acid was brought out of his thoughts by the arrival of Lucinda. "I'm worried Lucinda. Why haven't the other side arrived yet? Is this their plan? To move us out of the forest so that they can kill any creatures left over?" Acide fretted.

Lucinda shook her head. "No, Acid. This is where the battle will be." she said with conviction. "There is no possible way they could have tricked Kei into having that vision. They will come in time." She tilted her head questioningly. "Have the dementors hurt you?"

"Nup, I can't feel them can I? I'm lucky that the acid within me affects them. I've been thinking about that actually. What if we were able to gain enough pounches or something for me to put acid in? We could hand them out to everyone so that they wouldn't be affected by the acid" Acid offered.
