I don't watch Anime so much, though I enjoy it on occasion, but I do follow a few different manga series, namely Naruto, Bleach, and Katekyo Hitman Reborn! I used to follow Fairy Tail, but I lost interest when they entered that tournament arc... been there, done that, and got the T-shirt a million different times. On that note, Shotgun, I noticed and agree with your Avatar note: Gendo is a rat bastard.

I loved the first three seasons of Digimon but after that it kind of died on me. Sad to say that I was also a Pokemon fan but I played the Game Boy games more then anything. Those games were so hypnotic that I would not touch for months then I would suddenly be hooked for months playing them, you know? I also watched Avatar and really enjoyed. It was probably the only "modern" cartoon I watched since 2006.

I really loved Pokemon. I've been rewatching it recently and have got up to Hoenn but I don't like May so I'm struggling. It annoys me that he doesn't keep his team with him. And I'm sorry but WHO would let Charizard and Lapras leave? I sure as hell wouldn't!
My favourite character has to be James. He's so camp it's not even funny (except it is). And then Gary, I love the douchebags.
I got annoyed at the games when the Bad Guys weren't Team Rocket any more.
Zuko from Avatar was another favourite. I always hoped it would end up being Zutara and not Kataang but there you go.

I saw Aang and Katara more as siblings then lovers. I always thought the Aang/Toph pairing would have worked out better in the end.

Yeah Aang/Toph would be better than Kataang. I liked the Sokka/Suki pairing though.

Wow, it's been so long since I saw that that I don't even remember that storyline, though I remember who those girls are. Does anyone else find the Theatre episode as hilarious as I do? When they're in the Fire Nation in disguise and watching a play about themselves.

I watched the first episode of Korra, but it didn't really catch my interest. The music and the voices didn't really stand out to me. I do like Korra's character though.

I didn't notice that it had started, so I caught up on the first 8 episodes just yesterday. I don't really like steampunk, the world has changed too much, I don't really like Korra herself.
But I'm watching it anyway.

Yea, I enjoy Korra, but it definitely wasn't made to beat the original. Mako reminds me of Zuko and Bolin reminds me of Sokka. I love Tenzin and his children, they're so funny.

Full Metal Alchemist (both series and movies. Greed... enough said) Naruto (followed Anime up to right after the Kage meeting, then switched to Manga) Vampire Knight (Go Zero!) Yu-Gi-Oh (original series only. Kaiba was always my favorite) Pokemon (up until May and whatever her brother's name is joined) Death Note (but I stopped watching after L... you know. I should start watching again) Dragon Ball was one of the first anime I watch and actually liked... that seems like such a long time ago.
And Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles. (most complicated thing I've read. lol, but Kurogane was always my fave)

Pokemon is probably my all-time favorite. I played all the games, watched all the movies, and still own them to this day. I've even kept my copies of pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow...even though they glitch from time to time. Only thing is that I loathe the new anime series. I do enjoy re-watching the older episodes, though.

On that note, Shotgun, I noticed and agree with your Avatar note: Gendo is a rat bastard. I can be a rat bastard too. A friend dubbed me that once after I made him the butt of a joke, and I thought it was decidedly appropriate to keep using. ^_^ Also, can't believe I forgot about Tsubasa RC. I love that, even though I can barely follow the story in the last 10 or so chapters. I thought it was funny that on one page, even the authors themselves forgot who was who. Also, FMA Brotherhood was da bomb. I loved it. Code Geass was another anime that managed to hold my interest to the bitter end. Tears to Tiara is a pretty good fantasy-genre anime as well; it's pretty short too. I followed the Naruto anime right up to the end of the Saving Gaara arc and then I switched to the manga 'cause I'd hit the end of the published episodes; I was getting sick of filler arcs anyway. I also read the Death Note manga (not the anime though). I wasn't horribly impressed, tbh. It's not really my cup of tea, and I'm not a fan of stories that end like that... Oh well.

I find it hard to read any fanfiction for anime I watched as a kid because people use their japanese names and I can't connect all that well with the character when the name doesn't click in my head. OMG! Vampire Knight! Forgot about that one! Go Zero indeed! I can't stand Téa, but that might be because she gets bashed a lot in Yugioh the Abridged Series by Little Kuriboh (anyone else follow that?)! My favourite characters are Duke Devlin, Seto Kaiba, Yami Yugi, Marik and Bakura.

Naruto (Anime and Manga but have sort of stopped watching the anime. Stupid boat Arc was boring as Hell) I was so pissed when that arc interrupted the war I stopped watching the anime as well. I had been pretty let down by the fight between Pein and Naruto which put a halt in me watching the anime religiously, but that arc just killed it. I go back from time to time to watch episodes that I really like in the manga, but I honestly couldn't say which episode its even up to right now.

God yes, I really hate when they throw a filler arc inbetween important episodes. It's like they do it every time the action picks up and we end up watching 13 episodes of blah.

Major fan, though many of my all time favorites I never finished. I got into manga ever since I was a little girl and I watched Sailor Moon and Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon and Tokyo Mew Mew!
Vampire Knight Fruits Basket Gakuen Alice Pokemon Skip Beat Beelzebub Avatar Sailor Moon Tokyo Mew Mew Ouran High School Host Club Holy Land
And a ton more that I can't think of at the moment but when mentioned I'll squeal at like the fan girl I am.
To be honest, I've faded out a lot from mangas and animes. I've started going back to my roots of comics. X-men, Batman, Spiderman, Hulk, etc I'm starting to read Watchmen and V for Vendetta.

Well, I just finished a slightly depressing manga that redeemed itself in the end. If you want to give it a try it is called Bitter Virgin but be warned, it has mentions of rape and abuse.

Oh trust me, I almost stopped reading it after the first four chapter but it really redeemed itself by how well the story was. I heard it had a ton of top reviews by how human it was and gave it a shot. You really feel sorry for the poor girl with the life she led with her father. Heres the plot to it if you want a basic rundown. Daisuke Suwa is a high school student living with his widowed mother in a small Japanese community. Unwilling to spend the rest of his life working at their family-owned restaurant, his ambitions are to leave the town he grew up in by gaining acceptance at a city university and to enjoy the life of a bachelor. Daisuke is also a bit of a ladies' man. In a discussion with a classmate about which of the girls in class he would choose to date, he declares that while he makes no distinction, he would pass on only one: Hinako Aikawa, a beautiful but shy girl who displays an unusual degree of aversion to men. Daisuke is put off by what he calls her "sweet virgin" act and is annoyed by her extreme reactions to physical contact from men. Working after school one day, Daisuke takes refuge in a "haunted" church building to avoid a pair of girls who ask to join him on his food-delivery run. Just as he is about to head back to work, he hears someone entering the building. Believing it to be one of the girls he was trying to avoid earlier, he hides inside a nearby confessional booth. To his surprise, the newcomer turns out to be Hinako. To avoid an awkward moment, Daisuke remains inside the confessional and pretends to be a priest. He tells Hinako that mass has ended and asks her to go home unless she wants to confess, believing this will make her leave. He is startled when, instead of leaving, Hinako asks him to hear her confession. Believing her confession will be about a trivial matter, Daisuke agrees. She proceeds to tell him a story that completely changes his view of her. As a junior high school student, Hinako was sexually abused by her stepfather and became pregnant. Her mother learned of the pregnancy when Hinako miscarried, but did nothing. As a result, the abuse continued, and Hinako soon became pregnant again. She was told that the pregnancy may make her incapable of bearing children again, but since the doctors felt an abortion at that point would be dangerous, she carried the baby to term and her mother had it put up for adoption immediately after birth without Hinako ever seeing the child. Hinako ends by saying that although she never wanted the child and was relieved to have it adopted, and had never seen him, she wonders whether it would be all right if she at least celebrated his birthday, which is today. As she breaks down in tears, a stunned Daisuke, desperate for a proper answer, assures her that she has the support of God. This manages to calm Hinako down, and she thanks him and leaves. At first, Daisuke cannot believe Hinako's story. However, the next day a baby carriage's brakes slip, and it begins to roll down on its own. While Daisuke instinctively jumps to protect Hinako and manages to stop the carriage, both of them are knocked to the ground. In the process, Hinako's skirt gets hitched up, revealing a scar on her stomach which Daisuke recognizes as a Caesarean-section scar, similar to one he saw on his mother's stomach as a child. With Hinako's story proven true, Daisuke realizes that her ordeal was the cause of her aversion to men. Unable to get her out of his mind and worried for her well-being, he resolves to keep her secret safe and to help her in any way he can, and soon finds himself falling in love with her.
