Oh god, I read that. So depressing the entire thing, the part when his sister...
I can't post spoilers, but, I seriously thought they'd never be happy.
Also, I just realized, I never mentioned Ai Yazawa. I love everything by her, and if you like human, realism, she's definitely someone to read. She did Nana, and Paradise Kiss. Best manga I ever read was hands down Nana for realistic story line, the art work is beautiful, and the scripting and way things are organized, its just magnificent!

I agree with you on Nana. I never read paradise kiss though... But seriously, Nana is a real gem.

About Bitter Virgin...
Damn! I was warned and I'm still crying. It probably doesn't help that I am listening to Blue October's Come In Closer...

I would suggest downloading a program specifically for reading archived comics. You should rename a .rar file to .cbr, and a zip file to .cbz: This program is for Windows: www.cdisplayex.com/There are other programs available for other operating systems.

I would try downloading the manga's in the morning (7-10) or afternoon (3-9). I say this because the servers are maxed out late at night.

I'm on chapter 15 now.... And you should read it, Riku! It' sad, but awesome. :3 After you finish Bitter Virgin you should read a manga called Usagi Drop. It is a very heartwarming story that will make you feel satisfied after the 9th volume. You can find it on manga traders.

I can't stand Téa, but that might be because she gets bashed a lot in Yugioh the Abridged Series by Little Kuriboh (anyone else follow that?)! My favourite characters are Duke Devlin, Seto Kaiba, Yami Yugi, Marik and Bakura. I've seen them all (on the moment anyway). Normally I like Yami Yugi and Kaiba (The japanese ones anyway). In the abridged I always have to laugh because of Tristan/ Honda and Ryou Bakura. Anyway: my manga/ anime are Kuroshitsuji/ Black Butler (manga only), Death Note until L dies (manga only), Pokemon (anime only and up until... season 10 with Dawn, but that was because I was bored to death and I really hated it after that point, still not sure why...), Yu Gi Oh (the original sery, not 5D or GX), King of Thorns, (manga only). And a couple of others which I only read/ watched the first couple of episodes like Yu Yu Hagusho.

T^T I just finished reading Bitter Virgin...
All I can say is this:
Oh. My. Fucking. Merlin.
I loved how realistic and dark it was, and the ending was perfect! Simply beautiful!

God yes, I really hate when they throw a filler arc inbetween important episodes. It's like they do it every time the action picks up and we end up watching 13 episodes of blah. How ridiculous was that ninja animals episode!? with the kangaroo and ostrich and anteater? Dear god I wanted to die while watching that (I refuse to skip any epsiodes no matter how bad it is. I just have to wait a few weeks before I can watch another one). Thank KAMI I'm finished the filler now and back to the story. I do like that they're trying to cater to the Yaoi fans, though. Especially replaying the Naruto/Sasuke kiss and adding another one in a flash back. And then Kotetsu and Izumo until Tsunade barges in on them. Liked that ep.

I personally loathe Sasuke myself. I just can't stand him in the least. Yes, his past was tragic, and I pity him. But something about him just rubs me the wrong way.

Yeah I don't like him any more. About 3 years ago I loved him and just thought he was misunderstood but he just keeps getting worse and worse. Cannot stand him at all. I can't even really enjoy NaruSasu fics any more because I can't see it happening now.

I know! It's just...ick. Sasuke to me keeps coming across as a cannon!sue. He's brutal, cruel and a bit on the batshit crazy side... and somehow he's able to either defy or bend the fabric of cannon. Sasuke vs. Deidara, for instance... JUST NO!

ROFL! Yeah that fight was a bit o.O
Are you up to date on the latest manga chapter? Because I have to tell you he pisses me off so much! I don't think he knows what he wants any more. What exactly are his ideals now? Does he just want destruction? Can he not imagine just, I don't know, going back to konoha and being a NORMAL NINJA instead of a whackjob shinobi hell-bent on destroying everything he used to love.

Yeah, I'm caught up and I'm disgusted with him. Just completely and utterly disgusted. He actually makes Dudley look like a kind, thoughtful boy. DX

I like Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon (through Johto I had channels that didn't continue and just saw repeats of Season 1, season 2 if I was lucky, I love S1 a lot but that drained my enthusiasm for it). I love the games though. Digimon seasons 1-4. All of them were pretty good. I also watched Beyblade seasons 1-3. Not the newer Metal version. Tyson, Kai, Max and Ray are where's it at.

T^T I just finished reading Bitter Virgin... All I can say is this: Oh. My. Fucking. Merlin. I loved how realistic and dark it was, and the ending was perfect! Simply beautiful! I'd say wow, but I've read manga that quickly. I finished Nana in four days and bawled through the entire thing. But isn't the story just so sad? The thing with his sister and her trauma, and the scissor-girl? And the way they both acknowledged things at the end. Oh god, the entire thing was just so dark and I just wanted to sob at how cruel the world was while reading that. But it was definitely a great story altogether, and so well done.

Have you read Kare Kano? It's not as dark as Bitter Virgin, but towards the end it get's really dark. It's got a really comedic beginning and is definitely one of my favorites. It's nothing like Bitter Virgin, but it'll cheer you up and still maintain a realistic story line.
Or if you want straight up comedy, I say, the Wallflower! It's so funny! But the romantic development sucks. I mean, like, the characters never get together (main, the others are going just fine)
Or if you still want dark stories to read, Deep Love-Ayu no monogatari. The entire thing is so, ugh. But you won't stop reading it.

I've never read Kare Kano, but I've seen the anime. I thought it was pretty cute. I'll have to give Wallflower and Deep Love-Ayu a chance... Have you ever read Fruits Basket, Gnovella? I personally love it, though Tohru comes off as a bit of a Purity Sue at times.

Read fruits basket, the ending caught me by surprise, I wasn't expecting the thing with Yuki and the random girl, but i was a fan of Kyo. And yeah, tohru really is a purity sue.
On the note of Walllflower, the main characters development will aggravate you to no ends, and Deep Love starts with ayu and goes into other stories. It finishes really quick too. I only read Ayu, the other characters stories i just never got into, and it wasn't my favorite serious thing, just came to the top of my mind since I read it recently.

Okie dokie! And oddly enough, Tohru didn't annoy me. She may be a purity sue, but I also found her pretty likable. Her innocence was rather groan-inducing at times, though. DX

Her friends were awesome though... Uo and Hana, the Yank and the psychic. I was kinda hoping they would find out about the curse... but nope. Maybe in fanfiction, where things get interesting.
Fruits Basket could've gone down a much darker route than it did... I'm not sure how to feel about that.
